The persimmon trees planted by the Wen family are on the mountain, some distance from their home.

Le Bao wore the little straw hat that Wen's father had given her when Lu Shulang came before, and carried a small basket on her back. It was called a small basket, but actually, since Le Bao saw everyone else carrying tools, she insisted on carrying one herself, so Wen's father casually wove a bamboo basket that was a little bigger than the palm of her hand for the little one to carry.

When they were going up the bridge, Lu Yifan carried Le Bao on his back. The path up the mountain was narrow, and Le Bao was too small, so he was sure he would fall.

After walking for about 20 minutes, the mountainside came into view, covered with persimmon trees. The bright yellow fruit hanging from the treetops created a unique and beautiful scene.

Wow, so many persimmons!

Lu Shulang was amazed by the scene.

Wow, so many fruits!

The little guy echoed this sentiment.

Wen's father used a long bamboo pole to knock down the persimmons from the top of the tree. With each pull, the persimmons fell like rain.

"Wow."

Le Bao, carrying his little bamboo basket, ran to the base of the tree to pick up the fallen persimmons.

She picked one up and popped it into her mouth, but unfortunately, it wasn't quite ripe.

The raw, astringent taste spread in her mouth, and Le Bao's little face scrunched up.

"Pah, pah, pah."

Not good.

"Baby, come here quickly, or Guoguo will hit you on the head."

Just then, by sheer coincidence, a ripe persimmon fell with a thud onto Le Bao's head. Luckily, he was wearing a straw hat, otherwise the persimmon blossom would have been on the little guy's head by now.

Le Bao, with a persimmon in bloom on her head, stared blankly at her brother.

Lu Yifan carried Le Bao away from under the tree, took off her straw hat, and found a limp persimmon lying on it.

"Baby, the one you just ate wasn't cooked properly, so it tasted astringent. Try this one."

Lu Yifan offered the little one a persimmon from his hat to try. He peeled it and stuffed the flesh into her mouth.

"How is it? Is it sweet?"

"Sweetie, seven more."

The little guy stomped his feet happily after eating something delicious.

"Little sister, come quick and pick them up! It's raining persimmons!"

Lu Shulang ran happily under the tree with a basket in his hand.

"Brother, baby's picking fruit."

Hearing the older boy's call, Le Bao anxiously pointed to the ground below the tree. The place where they were standing was a small slope, and the little one couldn't get down. She stretched out her arms, asking the older boy to carry her down.

Once they reached the tree, Le Bao, imitating Lu Shulang, picked up the persimmons from the ground and put them into his little basket.

She had only packed a few things when her little basket was full and couldn't hold any more.

She simply put them in her own pocket, but she could barely fit two in.

Lu Shulang had already filled one basket and placed it aside, then went to pick up a second basket.

Le Bao, carrying her baby on her back, walked to the basket full of things and plopped down on it.

She preferred eating to doing chores. The little one would hold one in each hand, tossing aside any unripe ones and munching on the ripe ones.

When Lu Shulang returned with his basket, he saw that the once full basket was now empty, with only a few persimmons left at the bottom. A chubby little boy sat next to the basket, intently munching on the flesh of a persimmon peel.

The little one had fruit juice all over her mouth, face, and hands. She didn't seem to care; she'd take a couple of bites, wipe her hands on her clothes, and then continue eating.

The chubby boy had a ring of bitten persimmons scattered around him.

"Little sister, why did you eat all the food I picked?"

Le Bao looked up and said to her with a smile:

"Good morning, buddy."

Then she continued to gnaw on her persimmon peel.

"Ugh."

Lu Shulang sighed helplessly, wiped his sister's mouth like a little adult, and resignedly picked out the ripe persimmons.

"Little sister, eat this. It's cooked."

And so, a little foodie wearing a straw hat sat on the grass, munching on delicious fruit, while the others were busy carrying the persimmons.

When everyone was getting ready to go back, Wen Xian picked up the little one.

Looking at Le Bao like this, Wen Xian found it both funny and adorable. That's just how children are.

On the way back, Le Bao insisted on getting down and walking by herself. Lu Yifan carried her across the narrow section of road and put the little one down only when they reached the main road.

With her feet on the ground, Le Bao carried several persimmons on her back and, imitating her father, bent over and looked very tired as she followed behind him.

"Little sister, is it heavy? You can carry it for your brother."

When Lu Shulang saw his sister like this, he thought she couldn't carry it, so he offered to help her lighten her load.

"The pot doesn't move, the baby is amazing."

She stopped Lu Shulang from taking the persimmons from her basket, saying that she was very capable herself.

"Okay, then tell your brother when you can't carry it anymore."

"Our Shulang has grown up and knows how to care for his younger sister now."

Looking at the two little ones from behind, Wen's mother couldn't help but sigh.

"Of course! You have no idea how much Shulang likes this little sister. He even threw a tantrum and got jealous the other day, saying that everyone only liked the little sister and not him anymore."

We felt guilty towards his grandfather and brother for a long time, but he was easily appeased by his sister's words. He gave all the toys and snacks he had hidden to Le Bao.

"You need to be careful to maintain a balance between the two children; young children are very sensitive to these things."

How to treat all children equally in families with two or more children is a topic of great discussion in society today.

"Don't worry, Mom, we know what we're doing."

After what happened with their son last time, the adults realized that they should pay more attention to the two children's emotions.

After walking for a while, Le Bao was really tired. Mainly because there was a slope ahead, and it was very difficult for her to climb it.

So she turned her attention to Lu Shulang, who was walking with her.

"Honey, wanna hug me?"

The little guy plopped down on the ground, panting heavily, and rubbed his short legs, indicating that he was going on strike.

Seeing this, Lu Shulang's face was full of struggle. He wouldn't refuse his sister's request, but the reality was that his own abilities didn't allow it.

"Little sister, how about I carry you on my back?"

Lu Shulang put the basket on the ground, then knelt down in front of Le Bao and let the little guy ride on his back.

Seeing this, Le Bao didn't hesitate. She used her hands to support herself and climbed onto her brother's back.

As expected, as soon as Le Bao climbed up, she pinned her brother to the ground, his face pressed against the floor.

Suddenly feeling a lightness on his back, Lu Shulang got up. He saw that it was his older brother who had picked up Le Bao.

"Shulang, you're still too young to carry Lebao on your back, that's normal. When you grow up to be as big as your brother, you'll be able to carry your sister on your back."

Seeing the disappointed look on his younger brother's face, Lu Yifan knew what the little guy was thinking.

"Okay, big brother, I understand. I will definitely eat more and drink more milk."

Lu Shulang clenched his fist, reiterating his determination to grow up quickly.

Lazy Le Bao didn't even want his little basket anymore, and sat comfortably in his older brother's lap, his little feet dangling.
