Redemption from the Abyss: The School Beauty Insists on Pulling Me Out of the Mire

Chapter 231 The moon reflected in the sea is the moon in the sky; the person before me is the person

The two walked along the tree-lined path outside the library all the way to the cafeteria.

There were still more than ten minutes left before get out of class ended.

The large canteen was almost empty, with only a few women in white uniforms busily preparing lunch dishes behind the various windows.

Xie Wang led Su Qinghe by the hand to their usual window number three.

The cafeteria lady was stirring sweet and sour pork ribs with a large iron ladle when she looked up and saw the two strikingly good-looking students standing outside:

"Hey, you two pretty girls, what brings you here so early today?"

Xie Wang replied:

"The teacher dismissed get out of class early, and knowing that the ribs at this auntie's stall were the most popular, we quickly came to line up."

Su Qinghe stood beside him watching him order food.

"Let's get Shen Hao and Lin Lu's food too."

Xie Wang nodded and ordered four more portions.

"They'll have to wait in a long line when the bell rings, so let's have some mercy and save their lives."

The two of them sat down at a large square table by the window, carrying six plates.

About five or six minutes later, the bell rang to signal the end of get out of class.

A group of people rushed into the cafeteria.

Shen Hao's eyes quickly searched the crowded cafeteria and immediately spotted Xie Wang sitting by the window waving at him.

"Wow! They're like godparents! They skipped class to get us food, I'm so touched, sob sob."

Shen Hao yelled and pulled out a chair, plopped down, grabbed his chopsticks, and stuffed a large piece of braised pork into his mouth.

Lin Lu sat down next to Su Qinghe. She noticed that her plate didn't have any cilantro.

"Ah, Qinghe, I love you! You even remembered that I don't eat cilantro!"

Lu Yi and Xu You also slowly walked over.

The six people sat around the table, chatting and enjoying their meal.

After finishing their meal, everyone went back to the classroom of Class 1, Grade 12 together.

There was still a gap of nearly half an hour before the start of evening self-study.

The students in the classroom were either catching up on sleep at their desks or gathering in small groups to discuss the answers to the practice questions that had just been handed out.

After eating and drinking her fill, Lin Lu felt really bored. She looked around the classroom and finally fixed her eyes on the touch screen whiteboard on the podium.

She leaned forward and nudged Shen Hao with her elbow, her eyes gleaming with mischief.

"Shen Hao, why don't you go up to the podium and play a TikTok video?"

Shen Hao immediately perked up upon hearing the suggestion.

"Great idea!"

Shen Hao swaggered to the front of the podium.

He manipulated the touchpad for a while, and the large screen at the front of the classroom quickly lit up.

The TikTok video started playing on the screen, attracting the attention of most of the class.

Even the students who were sleeping on their desks woke up and looked up to see what was going on.

Just as the fourth video was playing.

A gloomy figure appeared outside the glass window of the back door of the classroom.

Old Li walked in silently, holding a long wooden ruler in his hand and with his hands behind his back.

The back half of the classroom fell silent instantly, except for the students in the front who were still laughing at the funny videos on the screen.

Until Old Li quietly walked to the front of the podium and stood behind Shen Hao.

Shen Hao: Why isn't everyone laughing? Is it not funny?

"The dog in this video looks really happy, Shen Hao."

Shen Hao's smile froze instantly. He turned around.

"Teacher Li, I just saw that everyone was too tired and wanted to give everyone a break from their mental strain."

Old Li ignored this weak explanation and raised the long wooden ruler in his hand, tapping Shen Hao's shoulder twice.

"You're a senior in high school and you're still causing trouble? Get out of here!"

Shen Hao clutched his shoulder and slunk back to his seat.

Lin Lu, the instigator, blushed.

As the school bell rang, the classroom returned to its lifeless yet oppressive atmosphere of intense practice problems.

Evening self-study has begun.

Subject representatives carried stacks of new test papers back and forth in the aisle.

The combined science exam paper that was handed out tonight was surprisingly difficult.

Su Qinghe's pen flew across the draft paper, rapidly working out those complex physics formulas.

It's just past 8:30.

Su Qinghe had neatly written out the answer to the last big question. She put down her pen and let out a soft breath.

The intense mental work left her looking tired.

She turned to look at Xie Wang and poked his arm with a finger.

"I'm a little sleepy, I'll lie down and sleep for ten minutes."

Xie Wang put down his pen and turned his head. He saw the girl's eyes, which were originally bright but were now slightly drooping due to sleepiness, and a soft feeling welled up in his heart.

He reached out and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

"Go to sleep, baby. Even if the teacher sees you from upstairs, she won't say anything. I'll cover for you."

Su Qinghe's heart skipped a beat at the address, and her drowsiness was half-shaken away. She glared at Xie Wang.

"What are you yelling about? Who's your baby? You should do your homework and not bother me."

After saying that, she folded up her fleece-lined school uniform jacket and used it as a pillow, then lay down on the desk and closed her eyes.

Xie Wang looked at her and grinned.

In the second semester of their senior year, everyone was under immense pressure. The half-day off per week was gradually draining the energy of these teenagers. Even Su Qinghe, who was usually very diligent, was finding it hard to keep up with the high intensity of the schedule.

About ten minutes later.

Xie Wang felt the breathing around him become very even and long.

He put down his pen and turned his head to carefully observe Su Qinghe's sleeping face.

Because he was sleeping so soundly and his position was compressed, Su Qinghe's full lips were slightly parted.

A glistening trace of drool hung from the corner of her mouth.

Xie Wang was overjoyed to see this.

The usually aloof and reserved Teacher Su actually had a moment of adorable drooling in public.

He quietly observed the teacher on duty at the podium and found that the teacher was engrossed in grading homework and hadn't noticed him at all.

Xie Wang took out his phone, put it on silent mode, and turned off the flash.

He pointed the camera at Su Qinghe's sleeping face, which was covered in drool, and decisively pressed the shutter button.

The photos were saved in the album.

After taking the photo, Xie Wang pulled a clean tissue from the drawer, gently pressed it against Su Qinghe's lips twice to wipe away the water stains.

Su Qinghe seemed to sense someone touching her in her sleep. She wrinkled her nose and made a soft, sweet "mmm" sound.
