Redemption from the Abyss: The School Beauty Insists on Pulling Me Out of the Mire
Chapter 228, Model 3
Back in the classroom, Su Qinghe walked straight to the front of the podium and tapped the desk twice with his fingers.
The noisy sounds in the classroom gradually quieted down.
Xie Wang looked at Su Qinghe on the podium.
Her low ponytail swayed slightly on her shoulder as she turned her head, and she really did look like a homeroom teacher standing in front of the podium.
Xie Wang: My teacher Su is really cool.
Su Qinghe looked around at the students below.
"Teacher Li asked me to convey a few things, everyone please be quiet for a moment."
The classroom fell completely silent.
"First of all, next Wednesday is the citywide third mock exam, the second to last large-scale simulation before the college entrance examination. I hope everyone will take it seriously."
A chorus of wails rose and fell from below.
Shen Hao slumped onto the table with a muffled thud.
Lu Yi closed the copy of "Dubliners" in the last row.
Su Qinghe ignored the noise and continued speaking.
"Secondly, the school will hold a coming-of-age ceremony for senior students in March, and a 100-day countdown rally will be held on the same day. Students will not wear school uniforms on that day and should bring their own formal attire or dress."
Lin Lu's eyes lit up immediately, and she turned to whisper to Xu You.
Shen Hao also raised his head.
"Wear your own clothes? I'll look absolutely stunning, hahaha."
Xu You whispered to him.
"Shen Hao! Don't be like this, you're being silly."
Shen Hao lay back down.
Su Qinghe paused on the podium for a moment.
"Thirdly, a student representative needs to give a speech at the 100-day countdown rally."
She spoke at a moderate pace.
"After discussion, Xie Wang was chosen as the student representative for this 100-day countdown rally."
There was a moment of silence below.
Then a burst of whistling erupted from the back row.
Xu You covered her mouth and laughed.
Shen Hao slammed his hand on the table.
"Wang Ge is awesome, he spoke on behalf of the entire grade."
Lin Lu turned her head and gave Xie Wang a thumbs up.
Xie Wang was stunned.
hum.
Su Qinghe looked really good when he stood on the podium announcing things.
but.
Based on my understanding of Teacher Su.
Old Li is definitely saying that you and Xie Wang should choose one of you, and you two should discuss it yourselves and decide who goes.
discuss?
"Teacher Su."
"I guessed it right away, it must have been your decision on your own."
Su Qinghe gently pushed his forehead with her index finger, making him sit back down.
You should be thanking me.
She paused, a hint of smugness in her voice.
"I even put in a good word for you with Lao Li and covered up your forgotten math homework for you, and you're so ungrateful."
Xie Wang opened his mouth.
He wanted to argue, but when he remembered that Su Qinghe had indeed covered for him regarding the math homework, his confidence waned.
"Then why don't you go up yourself?"
Su Qinghe sat back down in his seat and opened his textbook.
"You're more suited to speak on stage than I am."
"On what grounds?"
"Because you look better than me on stage."
Xie Wang didn't catch that sentence; he was stunned for about half a second.
"Alright then." Xie Wang leaned back in his chair and sighed.
"So, Ms. Su, you'll need to wear makeup then, right?"
Su Qinghe paused for a moment as he flipped through his textbook.
"What's wrong?"
"It's quite rare. Teacher Su dressed up specially for the occasion, and I'm really looking forward to it."
Su Qinghe turned her head and glanced at him, a faint smile curving her lips.
"You'll have to put on makeup too, because you'll be representing the whole grade when you speak on stage."
Xie Wang's expression changed.
"No way."
"What's wrong? What are you afraid of?"
"My domineering persona." Xie Wang said with a serious expression.
"If Lu Wen knew I wore makeup on stage, he'd be laughing in his sleep."
Su Qinghe covered half of her face with her textbook, but the eyes peeking out from above the textbook curved into two crescent moons.
It was completely dark when school ended in the evening.
Su Qinghe walked ahead with her schoolbag on her back, while Xie Wang carried a pink suitcase she had brought from home.
"The mock exam that Teacher Li mentioned today should have had its question format adjusted to reflect the highest difficulty level of previous college entrance exams," Su Qinghe said softly.
Xie Wang leaned his suitcase against the corner and turned his head to look at her.
"Teacher Su has almost mastered all the past exam questions, what's there to be afraid of?" He drawled out the last syllable, with his usual lazy tone.
"It's not that I'm afraid, I just want to raise my science score by two points in this joint exam." Su Qinghe lowered his eyes and looked at his toes.
Xie Wang chuckled softly.
"The students who got a perfect score in physics across the city are still thinking about improving their scores. How are the others supposed to compete?"
The elevator came to a smooth stop on the sixteenth floor.
Xie Wang pushed his suitcase in front of Su Qinghe's combination lock.
He watched Su Qinghe's profile as she bent down to enter the password, then reached out and ruffled her soft hair.
"Don't put too much pressure on yourself. If there's anything you don't understand, just ask your boyfriend."
Su Qinghe opened the door and glanced at him.
"Finish your memorization of classical Chinese poems before you teach me," she said, a slight smile playing on her lips, as she dragged her suitcase inside.
The security door closed in front of Xie Wang.
He looked at the closed door, touched the tip of his nose, turned around and pushed open the door to room 1602 across the street.
The atmosphere in Class 1 of Senior Three visibly became more tense in the following week.
Teacher Li changed the countdown to the college entrance examination in the upper right corner of the blackboard to red chalk, and the eye-catching numbers looked like a ruler hanging on the edge of a cliff.
Every morning, the city of Jiangcheng is filled with a biting chill.
The test papers kept being handed out one after another, making everyone complain endlessly.
As soon as the bell rang, a large number of students in the classroom immediately lay down.
Lu yawned widely, clutching a scrambled English vocabulary book, and wandered the corridor like a ghost.
He muttered to himself, reciting an English text as if it were a lifeless, monotonous account.
Lin Lu was lying on the table, biting the end of her pen, with a physics and electromagnetism test paper in front of her.
She twirled the ballpoint pen in her right hand three times, and finally looked at Su Qinghe sitting in the front row in despair.
"Qinghe, why does this magnetic field deflection problem use the left-hand rule? I feel like the magnetic field lines are moving in the opposite direction," Lin Lu wailed in a low voice.
Su Qinghe turned around.
"Because the initial velocity of the particle has a certain angle, you need to re-derive it using the formula for the Lorentz force."
Shen Hao wrote the chemical equations in a cursive style next to him.
Xu You took an eraser and patiently helped him erase the incorrectly written element symbols.
"Shen Hao, the redox color change of potassium permanganate under acidic conditions is that the purplish-red color fades. You can't write it as producing gas," Xu You corrected softly.
Shen Hao scratched his messy short hair.
"Yoyo! Senior year of high school is so tiring!" he complained with a bitter face.
Xu You said softly, "Hey, keep it up! Everyone's with you."
Xie Wang sat in his seat, with the Chinese reading comprehension test, which was the most troublesome subject for him, spread out in front of him.
The tedious sea of questions occupied all of these teenagers' days and nights.
Time flew by amidst piles of test papers and empty pen refills.
The three mock exams arrived as scheduled.
Police tape was put up at the school gate early in the morning.
The exam room distribution chart of Jiangcheng No.1 Middle School was posted on the bulletin board, with densely packed names crammed onto the white paper.
Su Qinghe and Xie Wang remained seated in the first and second rows of the first examination room.
Xu You and Lin Lu were also in the first examination room.
This is the exclusive domain of the top students in the entire grade.
The bell rang for the first Chinese exam.
Xie Wang looked at the essay question on the exam paper about the inheritance of traditional culture.
The answer frameworks that Su Qinghe had prepared for him flashed through his mind, and his pen began to move quickly across the answer sheet.
The winter sun shone through the window and fell on Su Qinghe's back.
Her pen almost never stopped moving.
The two days of intense exams were like a tug-of-war without gunfire.
When the bell rang to signal the end of the final science exam, a unified sound of relief echoed throughout the exam hall.
Shen Hao was the first to rush out of the examination room, but he quickly deflated.
"Sigh, even after the exams are over, there's still no escape."
Lu Yi slowly shuffled out of the examination room and sighed.
"The physical torment has temporarily ended, but the judgment of the soul has only just begun."
Xie Wang and Su Qinghe walked side by side at the back.
Xie Wang, with an empty backpack slung over one shoulder, turned his head to look at the person next to him.
"For the last physics problem, I used calculus to skip the distractor term. Did Professor Su do the same?"
Su Qinghe turned to look at him, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
"When will the results be available?" Xie Wang asked.
"Old Li said the final list will be released tomorrow morning. This time, the entire process is machine-based, so it's very fast."
Xie Wang put his hands in his pockets and walked forward in sync with her pace.
"Shall we go out for braised chicken tonight? Let's call Lu Yi along too; he looked so pitiful after his exams."
Su Qinghe nodded in agreement.
Lu Wen sent more than a dozen messages in that small group that belonged only to a few people.
All of them were pictures of him eating lavish meals at the company, accompanied by a smug caption.
"Family! Look what this is, hehe!"
Lin Lu looked at the seafood medley on the screen and was so angry that she wanted to poke a hole in the phone screen.
"He did it on purpose. He doesn't have to take the exam, humph."
The atmosphere in the classroom became unusually relaxed, and the nerves that had been tense for a week finally got a moment's respite.
