Chapter 9 I Have a Friend

Li Chen normally bought a Doran's Blade and a health potion, and took the Fervor of Battle rune instead of Thunderlord's Decree.

"Brothers, when it's Jess versus Jess, just go up in normal cannon mode and grab the middle bush. Same old rule, don't level up the skills yet, let's see what the other side says."

Li Chen controlled Jayce and went to the mid bush, but he didn't see the enemy Jayce.

Since he didn't know the enemy Jayce's location and had an advantage by holding the mid bush, he didn't rush out and just waited for the minions to come to the lane.

As the minion waves passed the edge of the first tower, Li Chen finally spotted the enemy Jayce, who was currently near the river, riding up to lane with the minions, and holding a cannon form in his hand.

"OK, guys, let's finish this quickly!"

As soon as Li Chen finished speaking, he switched his weapon to a hammer and walked to the edge of the bushes to wait quietly.

With the minions on both sides low on health, A-Guang guessed that the enemy Jayce might be in the bushes, so he deliberately hid in the bushes to farm minions.

One, two, three... After A-Guang finished off three melee units, the red team's melee units, now with very low health, moved forward, but still didn't see Li Chen appear. A-Guang was a little confused about what the opposing Jess was doing.

Following the soldier, Li Chen tentatively took two steps forward. The next second, Li Chen suddenly controlled Jess to walk out of the bushes. When A Guang saw that Li Chen was using the hammer form, he immediately wanted to come up and slap him a couple of times.

But Li Chen didn't tolerate it at all. He directly pressed his Q skill to jump in and finish off two low-health red minions. At the same time, he gave A Guang's Jayce a hard QA combo, and then began to adjust his position while A Guang was slowed down.

Ah Guang's Jayce was a disaster. His skill level was too low. He subconsciously activated the Q skill, but missed when he tried to hit it at close range.

Seeing that the opponent also wanted to switch to hammers and fight head-on, Li Chen smiled and immediately started kiting, moving towards the river while attacking.

He made the first move, taking control of the situation and stacking Battle Fervor first. With the added bonus from Hammer Form, it was impossible for A-Guang to win the drawn-out battle.

Realizing this, A-Guang dared not pursue and instead used his Q skill to try and distance himself.

At this point, A-Guang was not behind in terms of health, after all, he had dealt damage with Thunder Strike. But the next second, Li Chen suddenly switched forms, hit A-Guang's butt with AQ, and then chased after him with A.

Because A-Guang had just switched forms and his Q skill was on cooldown, he couldn't fight back at all. As a result, he was chased and hit twice before he was able to escape Li Chen's basic attack range.

At this point, A-Guang's health had dropped to less than half, while Li Chen still had more than half health left, giving him a lead of over a hundred health points.

"This Jayce has no skill at all, he's too bad, the game is over." Li Chen had the lead in health, so there was no need to say more.

Holding the cannon in his hand, he slowly pushed the line to suppress A-Guang, and A-Guang took medicine, so he took medicine too.

Soon, the minion wave was pushed to a position not far from the red team's tower, and a new round of minions from both sides clashed. Li Chen was temporarily three levels ahead of A Guang by one level.

At this moment, A Guang found an opportunity when Li Chen retreated and tried to steal a hit on a low-health minion. However, Li Chen countered and hit him. When A Guang was stunned and tried to attack back, Li Chen had already left.

After chasing for two steps, A-Guang wanted to turn back, but Li Chen seized the opportunity to turn back and attack A-Guang again.

Ah Guang's scalp tingled from the pulling, and he wanted to attack again and leave, but the next second, Li Chen switched to his cannon form and slammed him down.

Originally, A Guang was under the tower, but after chasing Li Chen for two steps, he was now outside the tower. Li Chen used Q on the minions in front of A Guang, and the damage affected A Guang. Then, using W to speed up, Li Chen auto-attacked A Guang twice in succession.

A Guang was a professional player after all. He knew that if he continued to play like this, he would definitely be killed or lose lane and have to go back to base. So he chose to switch to Hammer, E-Flash, and try to hammer Li Chen into the tower, and then Q Li Chen into the tower.

This is also a very good idea. If successful, the early health disadvantage can be recovered quite a bit, and Li Chen will also have to use Flash, making it harder for him to tower dive and kill A Guang.

but!

boom!

boom!

Ah Guang used his Flash, but at the same time, another Flash was also used.

This was Li Chen's predicted Flash. The whole process was that Li Chen Flashed first, and then A Guang used E Flash. A Guang didn't react in time. When he pressed the E skill, the mouse had already lost its target.

This resulted in A-Guang's E skill not being released in the end, but instead flashing directly onto Li Chen's face.

As a result, the following scene is self-explanatory. Li Chen took the lead and made his move, hitting A Guang with an AE. A Guang was knocked to the top, his health instantly dropped to zero, and he could only flee back to the tower in a sorry state.

Li Chen stood in front of the tower, waiting for his R skill to cool down. He then switched to cannon form and unleashed a QE combo, perfectly anticipating A Guang's turn and securing the kill.

After the battle ended, A-Guang sat in front of his computer, still somewhat dazed.

He felt like a fool, being completely controlled by the other party, powerless to resist.

Abu, however, was very satisfied with this scene. This was the real Jayce move: to beat A-Guang hard and gain the biggest advantage possible.

"You played well. It's normal that you can't beat this hero because you're not good at it. Next game, play Maokai." Abu said while sending Li Chen a Super Fire and typing in the chat.

"Next time he wants to play with the big tree, do whatever you want, just beat him to a pulp."

Seeing two more super fires, the chat immediately went wild.

"Holy crap, what grudge do they hold against me? Is the boss completely idiot?!"

"I can only say this is the first time I've ever seen someone pay to be spun around with a top."

"This streamer is making a killing! He can earn so much just by playing against a noob."

Since there was money to be made, Li Chen didn't have much to say. He simply cupped his hands and said, "Boss, just keep an eye on it. As long as the gifts are good, let alone this weakling, even Smeb will be crushed by you."

"Such arrogance! If I really brought Smeb over for you, you wouldn't be happy." The factory manager suddenly appeared, looking at the private messages on Abu's phone, and couldn't help but curl his lips.

Even against Jayce, A Guang is no match. With Maokai and no jungle help, he's bound to get whipped around.

The two then played three more games: Fiora vs. Maokai, Riven vs. Gnar, and Jayce vs. Rumble.

The outcome is self-evident: Li Chen successfully secured all the solo kills, with the longest game lasting only five minutes – a complete massacre.

However, after playing four games, especially when playing against the big tree, Li Chen also realized that the opponent seemed to be no ordinary Platinum III player.

The skill in positioning and escaping is something even most top-tier players might not be able to achieve.

But none of that matters. Li Chen doesn't care who the opponent is. He's already taken all ten Superfires. It doesn't matter who he fights.

After the solo drama ended, Li Chen continued to argue with the viewers in the live chat.

Seeing Li Chen swearing in the live stream, Abu patted A Guang, who was still in an emotional state, and said, "It's okay, it's just a solo match, don't take it too seriously. At least you're more polite than him, aren't you?"

"Huh?" A-Guang looked bewildered, looking up at A-Bu's encouraging gaze, feeling that his job was somewhat in jeopardy.

"Manager, is this guy a replacement they found for me?"

The factory manager reassured A-Guang, "No, this isn't about finding you a substitute. Relax and train hard."

After saying that, the factory manager pulled Abu outside and said, "Bu, we can't let this guy go. We have to sign him to EDG. After he integrates with the team, he'll definitely be able to play. Even if he doesn't play the three legendary players, we can have Aguang as his substitute to complement him."

Abu agreed, nodding, "I'll contact him first. An eight-figure annual salary is outrageous, but if he can maintain this dominance in practice matches, a seven-figure annual salary is worth considering."
