Chapter 36 Solo Kill Faker

The two returned to the lane, and Li Chen resumed his style from the first three levels, aggressively pushing the lane.

He needs to find an opportunity to solo kill Faker as soon as possible, because in the past five minutes, bad news has been coming from both the top and bottom lanes of Li Chen's team, and the current score is 2-4.

With both top and bottom lanes at a disadvantage, if he doesn't step up and find an opportunity, once everyone else focuses on the mid lane, he will never have another chance to kill Faker.

Control the clockwork to press forward. Don't be afraid if you get bound to the ground by the Cassiopeia. Use a potion, retaliate with a QWEA combo, and trigger Thunderclap to retreat.

However, Li Chen was unable to move while bound to the ground. Faker seized this opportunity, followed up with a Q skill that hit Orianna, applying a poison effect. He then chased her down with a barrage of E skills, dealing significant damage.

However, the Snake Woman's Ground Bind has a long cooldown in the early game. After the poison effect on him wore off, Li Chen decisively turned around and started to fight back.

Faker chased too far and took some damage from minions, so he's not much better off than Li Chen and has started to retreat.

In theory, Faker shouldn't be afraid of this fight going all the way. As long as his skills hit, Orianna would definitely die. But the problem is that he's not confident he can land his next Q skill.

Li Chen was relentless, activating his sprint and ignoring everyone else; this round had to be decided.

I raised my hand to Q, but missed!

Faker's last chance to counterattack was gone. Even if he petrified Orianna, the damage wouldn't be enough, not to mention he might not even be able to petrify her. So he also activated his Ghost to retreat.

After a struggle, the two chased each other to the front of the blue team's defensive tower. At this time, Faker and Li Chen were both below half health thanks to health potions.

However, Li Chen's QW combo was already ready. If his ultimate hit, Cassiopeia would be dead. Cassiopeia's Q had just missed during the chase and was on cooldown, so she had no chance to counter-kill.

Watching Faker retreat all the way to the tower, a hint of amusement flashed in Li Chen's eyes. He had figured out Faker's thoughts; Faker had lost.

The next second, Orianna chased straight under the tower. Faker appeared to be retreating, but his fingers on the keyboard had already quietly landed.

When Faker's Cassiopeia saw Orianna take the first tower hit, she suddenly launched an attack, using her ultimate (R) with her back to Orianna, and then flashed towards Orianna.

The reverse R-flash is a mechanic that Faker accidentally discovered while playing Cassiopeia. By releasing the ultimate in this way, the enemy will be petrified regardless of whether they are facing Cassiopeia.

"You lost... What?"

Faker's smile froze. His reverse R-Flash missed because Orianna used her Flash at the same time as Faker used his.

Li Chen countered with QW followed by R. Cassiopeia had no Flash left and was slowed by W, so she couldn't escape the range of R. She was hit by this combo until she was almost dead, and was finally finished off with a basic attack.

Looking at the grayed-out screen, Faker scratched his head: "Damn, this Orianna even knows that Cassiopeia has a reverse R-flash mechanic? That's amazing."

Bang, who was next to him, was unaware of all this. He thought Faker had made a mistake while trying to Flash R, so he said, "Sang-hyeok hyung, you made a mistake this time."

"No, no, I didn't make a mistake. This clockwork is amazing; it guessed what I was going to do."

Faker looked at the Orianna pushing the lane on the screen, his eyes filled with seriousness and a hint of joy. He hadn't encountered such an opponent in a long time.

Although he has been solo killed before in ranked games and even in matches, those were all due to his own mistakes or carelessness, but this time was different.

He made almost no mistakes throughout the entire process, and he was very careful with every skill he used. However, the opponent's Orianna was even more careful than him, giving him no chance to retaliate. The terrifying pressure was so intense that even he felt a little suffocated.

"Bang, can you help me check this ID to see if he's a random player or a mid-laner from a youth team?"

"Oh, okay!" This was the first time Bang had ever seen Faker so interested in a random player in a ranked game, and he became quite curious about Orianna.

On the other side, Li Chen, who had achieved the solo kill against Faker, had already received a reward from the system, with a point of honor credits entering his account. This made Li Chen feel great, and he promptly started to make sarcastic remarks in the live chat.

"Hey bros, tell me, wasn't that a close call? Faker even tried to counter-kill me, but the streamer has completely figured out his tactics, okay? Hurry up and send out your gifts to encourage him." Li Chen rubbed his fingers together.

"Laughable, it was clearly Faker's own mistake."

"FakerRank wasn't taking it seriously. He even messed up his Flash R combo. Stop messing around with your carry."

All I can say is that this was a complete blunder.

"Let's settle this out, and I'll give you two a sip of water."

Seeing that the comments were all refuting him, Li Chen shook his head and said, "You guys are still too bad. You have no idea what happened in this round. I'll do a replay for you after the game ends."

This solo kill in the mid lane solidified Li Chen's laning advantage, freeing him from the grueling battle with Faker and allowing him to truly establish his own rhythm.

Mid lane minions – Wolves – Mid lane minions – Blue buff – Enemy raptors – Scuttle crab – Mid lane minions…

Li Chen began to dominate all three lanes by himself, rapidly expanding his economic advantage. In just fifteen minutes, he had acquired two core items.

At this point, the kill score was 4-7. Li Chen's red team was at a slight disadvantage, but not by much, and their lineup still had the strength to fight in team battles.

The two sides then engaged in numerous team fights, but neither side managed to secure a decisive victory.

Finally, when the time came to 24 minutes, both sides gathered again at Baron Nashor. Before leaving the base this time, Li Chen had 1,500 gold, but instead of building a Rabadon's Deathcap, he chose to build a Mercury's Treads.

Both sides positioned themselves at the Dragon Pit. Seeing the Lee Sin's eager look, Li Chen decisively stepped forward and positioned himself to catch the Lee Sin's Q skill aimed at the AD carry.

The blind man was surprised that the enemy's most fed Orianna would give him such an opportunity. He was overjoyed and kicked over, then used his ultimate (R-Flash) in mid-air.

One warehouse!

Li Chen was kicked away by the blind man, landing where the other members of the blue team were.

"That's exactly what I've been waiting for—for you to kick me!"

Li Chen pressed the Mercury Strap to remove the stun from the knock-up, then released his R skill in mid-air and followed up with Flash.

I'll kill enemies for you, that'll be so much fun!

The shockwave from the clockwork swept across the entire field, hitting four players on the blue team.

A well-equipped Orianna using her ultimate to pull four enemies in has an obvious impact on team fights. The enemy team was instantly left with low health. Li Chen then unleashed a WQ combo followed by Thunderlord's Decree, before using Zhonya's Hourglass on the spot.

Teammates secured a 4-for-0 wipe and took down Baron Nashor, sealing the victory.

After the game ended, a friend request quietly appeared, but Li Chen had already opened the live stream replay and didn't see it at all.

"Brothers, brothers, the newbie class is in session. I know that with your skill level, you can't understand the details of my laning match with Faker, so I'm here to do a replay for you. Clearlove, you play a few rounds by yourself."

Upon hearing the last two words, the factory manager subconsciously glanced down, then his face darkened: "You're really putting on an act, kid. I'd like to see how you brag about this."

Li Chen smiled. He had to capitalize on the buzz surrounding this solo kill on Faker and make a killing.

Opening the live stream replay, Li Chen adjusted the time to when the two players in the mid lane had just come online: "Listen up, our Orianna has a long range at level one, as long as we maintain the distance... Faker was forced to trade skills with me earlier, which has resulted in too much mana and minion wave pressure for me now..."

Once we get lane priority, we naturally need to roam around and get some kills... Also, here, you guys said Faker made a mistake with his Flash-R combo, but that's not actually the case. It's a hidden mechanic of Cassiopeia: a reverse R-Flash combo.

This means that if Cassiopeia uses her ultimate (R) with her back to the enemy, and then immediately flashes to face the enemy, the enemy will be petrified regardless of which direction they are facing. Interested players can try it out themselves.
