Chapter 157 Garbage Time
As we all know, weakness is also known as minor withering. Li Chen then showed the audience why withering is called the Great Weakness Technique.
When W is applied to Ryze, Ryze immediately becomes incredibly slow, barely able to move an inch. Even using Flash immediately after landing doesn't create any distance.
The others were also blocked by Li Chen's teammates and took Morgana's ultimate skill, so no one could come to his rescue.
Li Chen caught up with Ryze and used his second Q skill, bringing Ryze to low health.
Seeing that he couldn't escape using conventional methods, Perkz had no choice but to activate his ultimate ability while still in place.
He figured that since the dog-headed monster didn't have any crowd control abilities, his ultimate skill wouldn't be interrupted, so he should be able to escape.
However, he overlooked the fact that the cooldown of Nasus's Q skill is reduced after he activates his ultimate.
Now, after Li Chen activates his ultimate, his Q skill cooldown is only 1.43 seconds. Just before Ryze is about to teleport away, his Q skill cooldown is over again. He strikes down with his cane, leaving only a corpse on the spot.
After dealing with Ryze, Li Chen turned back to deal with the remaining three.
Titan is a support after all, and his equipment isn't that good, so he can't withstand the turret's damage for long. He had already flashed out of the turret's range just now, and now it's Clearlove's Gragas tanking the turret.
Gragas is tough and durable, and Braum, Ivern, and Shen don't deal enough damage. Plus, they were controlled by Morgana, so they haven't even taken down half of Gragas' health yet.
Li Chen first targeted Ivern, using his Q skill to instantly take away half of Ivern's health.
Trick originally wanted to stick with his two good brothers through thick and thin, but this move by the dog head made him see things clearly. Without saying a word, he flashed over the wall and ran into the jungle to make a quick getaway.
When Shen and Braum saw that Perkz was dead and Ivern had fled, they scattered like monkeys falling from a tree.
Shen, being a top laner, was relatively tanky and managed to hold out until he reached the wall, where he used Flash and chose the exact same escape route as Ivern.
But Braum wasn't so lucky. He was already EDG's main target, and since he was too far from the jungle wall, he was directly killed by Nasus's two cannons on the way.
EDG achieved a 2-for-0 exchange in this team fight, a resounding victory. G2 had no one left to stop EDG's tower push.
After taking down the second tower in three moves, Li Chen and his team then led the minion wave into the high ground tower. Before G2 could reorganize their defense, they also destroyed the bottom lane high ground tower, leaving only a lone crystal untouched.
The economic gap, which was originally less than two thousand, has now widened to nearly five thousand, causing an uproar in the European live stream.
"NO, G2 suffered a crushing defeat in this bottom lane team fight. This Nasus has become a nightmare and is beyond our control. We have to face the harsh reality that G2 is very likely to lose this game."
"Perhaps this is why god_C is called a legend in the LPL region. Facing G2's carefully planned draft strategy, he perfectly neutralized it with just a Nasus, a champion that no one else cares about on the field."
"G2 now needs to figure out how to drag the game out. If they can get to the late game, Nasus will have a period of weakness, and the situation might turn around."
However, the commentators' opinions were not accepted by the audience, and viewers in the European region had completely given up hope for this game.
[God, this commentary is ridiculous! How can a dog with such advanced development have a period of weakness?]
Face the defeat, but we didn't lose to EDG, we lost to god_C.
[Where's G2's damn boss? Aren't you guys loaded? A genius top laner is right in front of you, hurry up and get the checks ready!]
The top lane god is dominating the game; forgive G2's ignorance, they shouldn't have been on stage.
[At this point, I hope readers will remember our domain name 12199.99]
Don't worry, it's been almost fifteen minutes now, G2 will definitely outlast TSM.
European viewers were mostly entertained. Although some were dissatisfied with G2's performance, most were relatively calm. After all, they lost to SKT yesterday, so losing to EDG today wasn't so hard to accept.
Anyway, as long as it can be proven that EU > NA, then G2 is not a sinner.
Returning to the competition, and after going home and then going out again, Li Chen already had the CD shoes and three ice heart items.
Faced with such a well-developed dog head, G2 completely abandoned the idea of going head-to-head.
It's just pushing down a tower, no big deal.
You pushed the top lane's second tower, huh? Here you go!
You wanted to push the mid-lane tower, right? Well, you gave it away!
As long as EDG doesn't push the high ground, G2 will avoid direct confrontations, focusing on pushing lanes and avoiding fights. They will only push lanes where no one is pushing, employing a stalling strategy.
EDG had just had a team fight in the bottom lane, and had used up most of their summoner spells, so tower diving wouldn't be easy, and they didn't want to engage G2 directly.
Thus, a strange harmonious situation was reached between the two sides: I won't go to your high ground, and you won't block me from pushing towers and taking resources; I'll even let you get some minions.
This situation continued until the Baron Nashor spawned at the 20-minute mark, when EDG's five players grouped up at the right time to prepare to fight the Baron.
Perkz felt that they couldn't win anyway, and since 20 minutes had already passed and they were performing better than TSM, he decided to go all in and said, "Let's fight Baron. If we can steal Baron, we can stall for a while longer. If we can't, it's not a big loss."
Trick nodded: "I think it's OK, guys. I don't want to drag this out any longer. This game is already garbage time."
"Then let's give it a try!"
"OK, OK!"
The others unanimously agreed, so the five of them huddled together, with Shen and Braum leading the way, carefully exploring the fog of war in the jungle.
However, almost all the viewers who witnessed this scene covered their foreheads in unison.
Because after clearing the vision, EDG did not attack the dragon, but instead hid in several places, waiting for G2 to come to them.
Although G2 was very careful in their scouting, they still didn't expect EDG to be hiding near the red buff, so all five of them ended up in an encirclement.
They were already losing the team fight head-on, and now they've been tricked by EDG. The outcome of this team fight is predictable.
In a 1-for-4 exchange, EDG sacrificed Morgana to keep everyone except Ivern alive. EDG then went to the top lane to push down the top lane inhibitor turret before turning back to take down Baron.
With the Baron buff and the fact that G2's top and bottom lane high ground had no defensive towers, EDG easily broke through all three lanes of G2. Finally, with a huge number of super minions, they took down G2's base in one fell swoop.
