Everyone in the carriage looked at Chang Kun.

Seeing that he was alone, had nothing with him, and had nowhere to hide the child, the older train police officer nodded and signaled Chang Kun to follow.

The system detected criminals in six of the train carriages.

One carriage was particularly conspicuous, with three criminals huddled together.

One was hunched over, looking like an old man; another was thin; and the last one was the strangest, looking like a robust woman.

Such a combination, hop on the bus and team up to steal things?

That's really suspicious.

Chang Kun counted the days and asked, "Officer, how long does it take to get to carriage 15 from here?"

"It will take at least four or five minutes, and if there are many people stuck in traffic, it could take seven or eight minutes," the young railway police officer replied to Chang Kun without turning his head, busy clearing the way ahead.

Their decision to return to the carriage where the young woman was located was certainly the right one; if anyone had seen the girl, then they would have a clue.

Along the way, Chang Kun encountered two criminals. He stared at them for a few moments and, finding no place to hide the child, decided not to cause any trouble and let them go for the time being.

Several train attendants were encountered along the way, and the train police asked them to split up and search for the child.

With only five minutes left to reach the next station, it took the group three minutes just to get back to the carriage where the young woman was.

For the next two minutes, the train police asked passengers in the carriage if they had seen the little girl.

The carriage was filled with smoke, and no one could explain what was going on.

The young woman who lost her child was almost in despair; her little girl had always been very well-behaved and would never run away.

How could I be so careless? I couldn't resist taking a nap, and in less than ten minutes, the little girl was gone!

She frantically tore at her hair, the despair almost choking her breath!

With a rumbling sound as it slowed down, the train arrived at the station.

Sweat streamed down the faces of the two railway police officers as they searched for the child, not wanting to miss a single trace.

As soon as the train came to a stop, the crowd surged wildly out of the doors.

The young woman blocked the car door, frantically shouting, "Xiaoya! Xiaoya! Where are you?!"

He didn't even care that his voice was already cracking.

The system detected that the other criminals were still inside the carriage, while the trio slowly moved out of the carriage with the flow of people.

You're the ones!

Chang Kun smiled like Conan.

"Excuse me!"

He shouted and leaped out of the window.

"Comrade, what are you doing?!"

The two railway police officers were puzzled.

With eyes already too busy to keep up, this fellow passenger didn't offer much help; instead, he jumped off the train and searched the platform like looking for a needle in a haystack.

They couldn't help but feel a little resentful towards Chang Kun.

Chang Kun didn't answer, but ran towards carriage number 15 with all his might.

Outside carriage number 15, an old farmer, a thin man, and a robust woman got off the train carrying large and small bags. The woman also had a large basket on her back.

Such a father with his son and daughter-in-law is a common sight at the train station, but when Chang Kun saw them, a smile appeared on his lips.

A family of three committing theft—aren't they just asking to be caught in a trap?

Chang Kun didn't waste any time and directly used capsaicin spray.

"ah!!"

The three screamed and collapsed to the ground, snot and tears streaming down their faces.

Haha, you guys have really benefited from high technology.

You guys got off easy!

Chang Kun strode forward, snatched the basket from the woman's back, and lifted the cover. Inside, a pink and tender little girl was fast asleep.

That's all set!

The little girl was dressed in a blue floral top and pants, and her small nose and mouth resembled the young woman's; it was obvious at a glance that they were mother and daughter.

The train attendant heard screams and ran down from the carriage to check what was happening.

"These three are human traffickers. Keep a close eye on them. I'm taking the child back."

Accompanied by a flight attendant, Chang Kun walked towards the train police officer and the young woman.

By this time, all the people who had gotten off the train to get some fresh air had walked outside and onto the platform.

The train police officer and the young woman stared wide-eyed, scanning the platform.

They didn't spot the human traffickers when they got off the train, so trying to find them on the platform at that point was simply wishful thinking.

The young woman had cried all her tears out; her eyes were bloodshot, and her fists were clenched tightly around the hem of her clothes.

The train police officer wiped the sweat from his forehead, sighing. They had really done their best, but there was simply no other way.

Just then, Chang Kun returned, carrying a large basket on his back.

"Hey! Comrade, where did you go? You should have helped us look for it. The more people searching, the more hope we have!"

Not finding the child and seeing the state of the young woman who had lost her child, the young train police officer felt very bad and couldn't help but feel a little resentful towards Chang Kun.

Chang Kun wasn't angry. This young train police officer had been working tirelessly to find the child and was quite responsible.

"Hey, the child has been found! Can you see if it's your child?" Chang Kun handed the basket to the young woman.

"what?"

Everyone was stunned.

The young woman looked down and saw it was her little maid.

She suddenly picked up the child from the basket and carefully checked him over. She was relieved to find that the child was just sleeping soundly.

Only then did she realize that her child had been found, and tears welled up in her eyes again.

"Bang!"

The young woman suddenly knelt down and bent over to kowtow to Chang Kun.

"Oh dear, this won't do!" Chang Kun quickly helped the young woman up, calling out to the flight attendant beside him, "Help me up, this is going to shorten my lifespan..."

Upon hearing this, the young woman did not insist any further and stood up.

The two train police officers only realized what was happening at that moment.

"Comrade, you're really something! Where did you find the child?"

"You're truly a skilled detective! I'll write a letter of commendation to your unit later!"

In the 60s, receiving a letter of commendation was a great honor, carrying far more weight than the banners that police officers received in later generations.

Chang Kun was a little embarrassed. The situation was urgent at the time, and in order to convince the train police officer, he made up a story that he was a criminal police officer. But now there was no need to hide it.

"On that platform over there, three human traffickers have been apprehended..." Chang Kun pointed to the location of platform number 15, then changed the subject.

"Um... I work at the Academy of Sciences, not as a criminal investigator. The situation was urgent just now, so I lied to you."

"Huh?" The train police officer and the young woman were taken aback.

Working at the Academy of Sciences, and yet so skilled at catching human traffickers?

The flight attendant next to me laughed: "No matter what your position is, being able to catch a thief is impressive."

"Let's go to the dining car. The train conductor will be very happy to know that we caught three human traffickers."

The flight attendant tried to pull Chang Kun away, but the young woman stopped her.

"My benefactor, what's your name? When the little girl wakes up, I'll have her go to the Academy of Sciences to thank you."

Chang Kun waved his hand and said with a smile, "No need to thank me, my name is Red Scarf."

Everyone was stunned for a moment after hearing this, then they all laughed.

This young man is quite amusing.
