The amusement park in the western suburbs of J City is called an amusement park, but it's actually just a fenced-off wasteland with some cement paving and a few metal carousels and bumper cars set up.

The red characters "West Suburbs Amusement Park" painted on the main gate have peeled off, revealing the rusty iron underneath.

This place is remote, and usually, apart from young people who have nowhere else to go to date, it's mostly these idle rich kids who like to come here.

Mu Hongying's flashy Honda motorcycle was parked at the front, followed by a line of cars and motorcycles.

He took off his helmet, shook his blond hair, and waved to Li Dongye, who had just gotten out of the jeep.

"Second Brother, over here!" Mu Hongying smiled broadly, showing no sign of having just been beaten up yesterday. "This is the most exciting place in J City. Today, we've booked the whole place for the brothers. Let's have some fun!"

Li Dongye got out of the car and turned around to help Lin Qingqing.

Lin Qingqing changed into a light pink polyester shirt and a pleated skirt that went past her knees. This outfit would have been considered very fashionable in the village, but it looked rather plain here.

However, her face was so attractive that as soon as she landed, the eyes of the few guys who hung out with Mu Hongying were practically glued to her.

Li Dongye subtly stepped in front of Lin Qingqing, blocking her from those sticky gazes.

He had one hand in his pocket, and the other hand naturally wrapped around Lin Qingqing's waist, pinching the soft flesh on her side with his fingers.

"This is the good place you were talking about?" Li Dongye glanced at the rusty iron frames, his tone revealing a casual disdain. "It looks like a junkyard."

"Second brother, you don't understand. This is called romance."

Mu Hongying wasn't annoyed. She leaned over and offered him a cigarette. "The equipment here is a bit old, but the advantage is that nobody's in charge. You can play however you want. Especially that haunted house in the back..."

He paused deliberately, his gaze drifting towards Lin Qingqing: "That's a local specialty, girls love it the most."

"Fourth Brother..." Lin Qingqing called out softly.

"If you're scared, don't go." Li Dongye looked down at her, his thumb stroking the back of her hand. "Let's go back."

"Hey, don't do that!" Before Mu Hongying could speak, several girls dressed in their finest clothes surrounded her.

These girls were all "entertainers" invited by Mu Hongying. They all had permed big waves, red lipstick, and the perfume they wore made Li Dongye frown.

"This must be your sister-in-law, right? She's really pretty." A girl in tight jeans casually linked arms with Lin Qingqing. "Sister-in-law, don't listen to Third Young Master's nonsense. That haunted house isn't scary at all; it's just for fun. Since we're already here, how can we not go in and take a look?"

"That's right, that's right, we've been in there several times already." Another girl chimed in, almost pushing and pulling Lin Qingqing towards them, "Sister-in-law, come with us, we'll protect you."

Lin Qingqing was caught off guard by this sudden enthusiasm and looked at Li Dongye.

Just as Li Dongye was about to reach out and pull the person back, Mu Hongying stepped forward and blocked his way.

"Second brother, why don't you let your sister-in-law go and have some fun with them?"

Mu Hongying smiled sincerely, "Girls only have things to talk about when they're together. What are we guys doing here? Besides, the shooting range over there just got some good guns, air guns, they're powerful, how about we go practice?"

He pointed to the red brick house on the other side, from which came the crackling sound of gunfire.

"Shoot?" Li Dongye raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, Second Brother's been driving around in cars all day, he's definitely seen it all. Shall we go have a go?" Mu Hongying said provocatively. "What, Second Brother, are you afraid to leave your wife's side for even a second? Or are you worried about being too bad at shooting and embarrassing yourself?"

This attempt at provocation was clumsy, but it didn't stop the surrounding underlings from joining in the commotion.

"I heard you used to be a gangster, Second Brother. Show me what you've got!"

Li Dongye narrowed his eyes, his gaze passing over Mu Hongying's shoulder and landing on Lin Qingqing, who was surrounded by several girls.

Although those girls seemed frivolous, they were just carefree, crazy girls.

Lin Qingqing looked at the enthusiastic girls around her and felt embarrassed to spoil the fun.

"Okay, go have fun, don't worry about me." She tugged at Li Dongye's sleeve.

"Ten minutes." Li Dongye flicked her nose. "If I don't come out in ten minutes, you just stand at the door and don't move."

"Um."

"Let's go, second brother! Let the brothers see what a sharpshooter is like!"

The shooting range reeked of smoke and cheap gunpowder.

A row of guns was mounted on the counter, and ten meters in front of it were targets with balloons hanging from them.

"Beat fifteen and get a free doll." The shopkeeper was a bald old man, listlessly cracking sunflower seeds.

Mu Hongying's gang of cronies had already taken up good positions, each holding a gun and striking a fancy pose. In the end, their fierce attacks, though impressive, didn't pop many balloons, but they did manage to knock off a lot of plaster from the wall.

He held the gun in one hand, not even bothering to aim, and fired a shot.

The balloon in the very center burst.

There was a moment of silence, followed by a sparse murmur of cheers.

"He must have just guessed?" the henchman called Fatty muttered.

Li Dongye ignored it. He didn't even look at the target. He pulled the trigger with a speed that was dazzling.

"Bang bang bang bang bang——"

Gunfire erupted in unison.

The balloons on the opposite target looked like they were being popped one by one by an invisible hand—red, green, and blue—with bits of rubber exploding everywhere.

Ten bullets, ten balloons.

It took less than five seconds.

Li Dongye threw the gun onto the counter with a loud clang.

"Boring." He dusted off his hands, not even glancing at the dumbfounded rich kids. "The rifling is all worn down; it's just for making a sound."

Mu Hongying's smile faltered. He had originally wanted to see Li Dongye make a fool of himself, but he hadn't expected this country bumpkin to actually have some skills.

"Second brother is amazing!" Mu Hongying chuckled dryly. "But this is just the beginning; there are still moving targets over there..."

"I'm not playing anymore," Li Dongye interrupted him, his frustration growing stronger. He glanced at the clock on the wall; only five minutes had passed.

But he couldn't wait any longer.

His right eyelid kept twitching, which made him anxious.
