Chapter 30 Hibiscus Orange (Part 1)

An Jincheng went to the meeting place with some trepidation.

An Jincheng wasn't surprised that Tang Feng knew she was back. She had already told him about her schedule beforehand, and they kept in touch frequently, mostly about An Jinju.

For example, how she behaves at school, whether she has made friends, and whether she exhibits any unusual behavior.

She had originally planned to find some time to thank Tang Feng in person for taking care of Jinju during this period, but she didn't expect him to take the initiative to suggest meeting.

Xia Mei asked Shui Lan to show her around the local area. There was no warning of disaster beasts today, and it was the weekend, so the magical girls took a long-awaited day off.

An Jinju was still asleep in bed, unaware that her sister had already finished washing up and gone on a date with a man.

Upon seeing the target coffee shop, An Jincheng stopped, flicked her long, smooth hair in front of the glass reflection, and then stepped inside.

Upon entering, she saw a handsome young man waving at her from the right-hand side near the glass window.

Without a doubt, this is the target.

As she got closer, An Jincheng could see it more clearly.

The other person wasn't wearing a formal suit today, but rather casual everyday clothes, simple and clean. There were subtle signs of exercise on their shoulders and arms. Their appearance perfectly matched the aesthetic standards of most modern women. Their hair was also clearly styled, standing straight and upright, making them look refreshed.

There is no doubt that the other party made ample preparations before going out.

An Jincheng blushed slightly. She had dressed up at home, but only out of politeness.

"What the hell? It's not like it's a blind date, why make it so formal..." she thought to herself.

"Miss An looks especially beautiful today," Tang Feng greeted her first.

An Jincheng was dressed casually today, wearing a fitted short-sleeved T-shirt on top and a pair of casual washed denim jeans on the bottom, which perfectly outlined the youthful and beautiful curves of her body.

With her gentle and beautiful face, long, smooth black hair, bright eyes, and fair, jade-like skin that is partially exposed, she is undoubtedly the image of the dream lover for countless otaku.

An Jincheng sat down opposite Tang Feng, her voice carrying a subtle gentleness, "Teacher Tang Feng is an elder, just call me Jincheng."

"That makes me sound old," Tang Feng said, opening the menu on the table and handing it to him. "What would you like to drink?"

"Hmm... matcha coffee, please." An Jincheng glanced at the menu and pointed to one of the items.

"Me too."

After ordering, the two started chatting, and An Jincheng took out a small, exquisite gift box from her bag.

"Oh, right, Professor Tang Feng, this is a souvenir I brought back from Kyoto to thank you for taking care of Jinju during this time." An Jincheng paused, "I was originally going to bring back some local specialties, but you refused to accept them, so I changed it to this."

"I'm her teacher, this is what I should do, and Jinju is indeed very likable."

Tang Feng accepted the gift without refusing. He then looked at An Jincheng and asked, "May I open it now?"

After seeing the other party nod, Tang Feng slowly opened the gift box, revealing an exquisite magical girl commemorative badge lying inside.

Tang Feng picked it up, looked at the cartoon magical girl pattern on the commemorative medal, and a look of nostalgia appeared in his eyes.

"This is a limited edition issued by the Kyoto Magical Girl Association. I heard that the teacher really likes magical girls, so I went and got one."

"Thank you, I really like it." Tang Feng put the gift away and expressed his gratitude.

"That's good." Seeing that the gift she had chosen had received a good response, An Jincheng felt relieved.

At that moment, the coffee shop waiter carried a tray and placed two cups of freshly made coffee in front of the two of them. "Please enjoy your coffee."

Tang Feng picked up the glass, took a sip with the straw, and then gazed at the girl across the small table.

"Actually, the reason I asked you out is about something related to Jinju."

"What?" An Jincheng reacted immediately upon hearing that it was related to her younger sister.

"Jinju, she..."

Tang Feng considered his words carefully and decided to be tactful and explain slowly. "Because of some things, Jinju and her best friend had a falling out."

Hearing that it wasn't bad news about the weirdo, An Jincheng breathed a slight sigh of relief. But the news the other person mentioned wasn't good either. She knew that Jinju, the new transfer student, didn't have many friends. The only one she could call a friend was Shengxue.

She had often heard her sister mention Shengxue before, and knew that the girl was a very nice person. She also knew that the two of them had a close relationship, but she never expected that they would fall out.

"Teacher Tang Feng, what's going on?"

An Jincheng was eager to know the answer. She knew it was not easy for her sister to have a friend here. If she could understand the specific situation, she hoped to help Jinju resolve her inner conflict and reconcile the two.

Tang Feng seemed to find it difficult to speak. After hesitating for a long time, he slowly opened his mouth and said, "You may not believe it, but Jinju... seems to have a crush on her teacher."

"ha?"

An Jincheng's eyes widened. A teacher-student relationship? Which teacher? The magical girl academy is full of female teachers, except…

Tang Feng pointed to himself and reluctantly said, "Yes, you guessed right, it's exactly what you think."

"This..." An Jincheng seemed shocked. Although what the other party said sounded unbelievable, she did not immediately doubt Tang Feng.

Upon closer examination, it's not entirely impossible. Teacher Tang Feng is such an outstanding person that he has an immense appeal to teenage girls. Coupled with his usual care and confiding in them, it's easy for the girls to develop certain illusions and thus develop subtle feelings.

Tang Feng suddenly spoke up, "Jin Cheng, what do you think of me?"

An Jincheng gazed at Tang Feng, thought for a moment, and said, "There's nothing much to say about his appearance. He's a good person, kind-hearted, has a strong sense of justice, is meticulous in his work, and speaks gently..."

As she spoke, An Jincheng's face unconsciously flushed red. She quickly realized what she meant and asked, "Teacher Tang Feng, what do you mean?"

"Look, even you think I'm pretty good, let alone your naive little sister. Actually, I'm also quite troubled. Students always confess their feelings to me for no reason. After all, I can't turn myself into an ugly monster."

Tang Feng briefly recounted what had happened: An Jinju confessed her feelings to him yesterday, but her good friend Shengxue caught them in the act. Shengxue advised her against a teacher-student relationship, but An Jinju wouldn't listen, and the two had a fight, which led to the current situation.

"I have Shengxue's contact information here. You can ask her for confirmation." Tang Feng took out his phone.

An Jincheng waved her hand, "I believe what Teacher Tang Feng said, but I didn't expect Jinju to do this..."

"Actually, it's not entirely without clues, Jincheng. Do you understand the psychology of a calf?"

"Does this refer to the attraction and infatuation that adolescent boys and girls develop towards certain older members of the opposite sex?"

Tang Feng nodded. "Girls her age are just beginning to develop romantic feelings, and she transferred to a new school surrounded by other girls. At this time, an outstanding and charismatic man like me appeared in front of her, spending time with her, respecting her, caring for her, and helping her integrate into the new environment. Perhaps she subconsciously developed a dependence on me?"

An Jincheng nodded repeatedly at Tang Feng's analysis, subconsciously ignoring the self-praise in it, since he was telling the truth.

"Perhaps Jinju has placed some of her missing fatherly love on you." An Jincheng said thoughtfully, "My family suffered a tragedy a few years ago. My father became a vegetable, and my mother was busy taking care of him. I have been taking care of Jinju all this time, and perhaps I have neglected the fatherly love she lacks."

"Don't blame yourself. You've done a great job. You're the best older sister I've ever met," Tang Feng comforted her.

"But what should we do now..." An Jincheng felt a little worried. It was not easy to have such a caring person as Jinju, who was like a teacher and a father to her, but Jinju developed a sense of dependence on him, which made her mistakenly think it was love.

If she could be guided gently, that would be fine, but she even fell out with her best friend over it, which is a bit serious.

"I have an idea."

Tang Feng took a leisurely sip of coffee and said unhurriedly, "If she realizes that there is no hope, she might give up on this idea."

"That makes sense, but how do we implement it?"

"I'm single now, which might be one of the reasons Jinju has this idea. I'm wondering, if I found a girlfriend who is gentle, cute, and beautiful, someone Jinju would be ashamed of, would she back down?"

An Jincheng rested her chin on her hand, lost in thought. "Although I'm not praising my own sister, there are probably very few girls who are more beautiful than Jinju. Teacher Tang Feng, do you have a target in mind?"

"Yes, she is gentle, beautiful, and kind-hearted. She is just a girl who looks frail, but she shoulders countless responsibilities. She is like an angel sent down from heaven, caring for everything in the world. I think I may have liked her the moment I saw her."

"Then you'd better hurry up, girls like this aren't easy to win over..." An Jincheng looked up and met Tang Feng's eyes. He had produced a bright red rose from somewhere and was looking at her intently.

"Jincheng, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Huh?!!!!!"

An Jincheng's eyes widened, and her mouth opened so wide that she could have eaten the rose in front of her.

What's going on here?!

"Can……"

Before she could process what was happening, Tang Feng continued, "I will take good care of you and Jinju. When she finds out that the person she's pursuing is your sister's boyfriend, she will definitely back off. I know she loves you, her sister, just as much as you love her."

"Moreover, with this relationship, it will be easier for me to take care of Jinju and make up for the love she lacks, whether it is fake fatherly love or care from other elders. I will do my best to do it."

"These are just reasons I want you to accept me, but what truly drives me to confess to you is from the bottom of my heart."

Tang Feng spoke slowly and tenderly in his most affectionate and gentle voice.

"Jincheng, I like you."

As if by magic, the rose in his hand transformed from a single rose into a large bouquet, which gathered before An Jincheng. The intoxicating fragrance, mixed with the confession he had just made, made her even more confused.

Fortunately, she was determined enough. After a brief moment of losing her composure, An Jincheng came to her senses and gently pushed away the roses in front of her.

"Feel sorry."

Tang Feng was slightly taken aback upon hearing this.

An Jincheng organized her thoughts and spoke softly, "It was too sudden, I wasn't prepared at all."

"If you think the age gap between us is too big, it's not really that exaggerated. Jincheng, you're old enough to go to college, right? I just graduated with my master's degree not long ago. And as we get older, the age gap will only seem smaller."

An Jincheng shook her head. "It's not that I mind that, but... how should I put it, although Teacher Tang Feng is excellent in every way, we've only known each other for a short time, and I feel... it's a bit rushed."

"But Jinju has already confessed to me in such a short time, just like I confessed to you, which means she doesn't think there's anything wrong with it."

An Jincheng gave a wry smile. This girl had given her such a difficult problem, leaving her in a bit of a dilemma.

Sensing the other person's dilemma, Tang Feng considerately put away the roses.

"I'm sorry, this was too sudden for me today, but my feelings for Miss Jin Cheng will never change. Perhaps... we can start as friends and slowly cultivate our relationship?"

An Jincheng gave a serene smile. "I don't object to that. Besides, aren't we already friends?"

Tang Feng laughed upon hearing this. He pulled out a rose from a large bouquet and said, "Then, let's step out of our friend's predicament and accept this one, shall we?"

After hesitating for a moment, An Jincheng reached out and accepted the rose Tang Feng offered. "Thank you."

As they passed the roses, their fingertips brushed together unintentionally. The girl's fingers immediately curled up as if she had been electrocuted, as sensitive and nimble as a mimosa.

Tang Feng chuckled at the sight. Didn't this just prove that the girl in front of him had absolutely no experience in this area? She usually had the air of a composed elder, which gave him the illusion of being with someone her own age. Was it because she had been playing the role of an all-powerful older sister in front of her younger sister for so long that she had gotten used to it?

"Although I haven't won Miss Jincheng's heart yet, I still hope to play the role of boyfriend and girlfriend in front of Jinju, and I would like to ask for your opinion."

An Jincheng naturally knew that this was to dispel her sister's unrealistic ideas, and after careful consideration, she nodded.

"Jincheng, you are so understanding. Now I believe that angels really exist in this world."

An Jincheng became embarrassed by the praise, and a charming blush rose slightly on her serene face. "I was just doing what I could, nothing that's so great."

"No, every magical girl is glorious and great, and Jin Cheng, even if you are not a magical girl, you are still a great older sister."

"I just want to be a good, ordinary older sister."

An Jincheng looked down at the vibrant rose in her hand. She stretched out her slender fingers and gently touched one of the petals, causing a drop of water to fall onto the small wooden table.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the sun shines brightly.
