Battle Through the Heavens: Reborn as a Devouring Python, Medusa is taken home.

Chapter 176, Soul-Devouring Body

"So, what exactly do you want to do by following me?" Ning Su glanced at Cao Ying.

She's been following me ever since we met.

Mingming had clearly told her that she would not share her alchemy insights with her.

"I just want to know more about Elder Ning Su, and why you are so powerful."

"As far as I know, you should be the youngest elder in the history of our Danta—albeit an honorary elder," Cao Ying said.

Although Ning Su is the champion, there is no precedent for the champion of the Danta Dan Tournament to directly become an elder.

Not to mention that Ning Su is so young, it's practically unprecedented.

After all, the elders of the Pill Tower not only require excellent alchemy skills, but also have considerable requirements in other aspects.

Honorary elders differ from ordinary elders in that they are not responsible for specific affairs.

However, honorary elders are usually given to those who have helped Danta or are somewhat famous.

As for Ning Su... apart from his amazing alchemy skills, Cao Ying didn't yet know what other special skills he possessed that made him worthy of being appointed as an honorary elder by Xuan Kongzi.

"If you really want to know, you can just ask the president, or you could just ask him to give you an elder position too, dangdang," Ning joked.

"I don't care about being an elder. If I'm going to be one, I'll become a future leader of the Pill Tower!" Cao Ying's eyes revealed a hint of longing and ambition.

Given her proud nature, her ambitions certainly wouldn't be limited to the position of an ordinary elder.

Before the Danta Conference even began, she was already one of the candidates for the future giant of Danta.

"Then we'll wait until the day you become a giant in the Danta."

"Ning Su, I want to compete with you again next time!" Cao Ying suddenly said.

She conceded defeat to Ning Su at the Dan meeting, but she will not give up.

She will definitely continue to study alchemy and surpass Ning Su!

"Please call me Elder, and show me some respect, okay?" Ning Su's calm words infuriated Cao Ying.

……

After getting rid of Cao Ying, Ning Su returned to the restaurant and then took Medusa and the others to the Dan Tower.

Xuan Kongzi reserved a courtyard for him in the Pill Tower, enough for them to live together.

He wasn't planning to leave Saint Dan City anytime soon, so of course he couldn't waste such good treatment.

Now that he is an honorary elder of Danta, it wouldn't hurt to let Medusa and the others get to know the people of Danta.

The happiest of them all was Little Fairy Doctor – because the Pill Tower had all sorts of high-grade and rare medicinal herbs, which broadened her horizons.

It's like she's turned back into the girl who loved medicinal herbs.

The Pill Tower also welcomed them—they were all powerful individuals at the Dou Zun level or above, so the Pill Tower naturally cared.

Ning Su has also been helping Danta refine some necessary medicinal materials in the past few days, in order to exchange them for rare medicinal materials, which will make it easier for him to refine other pills later.

Having such excellent alchemy skills but not using them to make medicine is a waste.

While Ning Su was refining medicine, the other elders also gathered around to observe the alchemy champion's techniques up close and to witness the power of the strange fire.

Their skillful fire control and alchemy techniques left them in awe.

"As expected of Elder Ning Su, impressive!"

"If only I could be half as good as Elder Ning Su."

Most of the elders in the Pill Tower are seventh-grade alchemists, with a few sixth-grade alchemists as well.

Although they had been in the Pill Tower longer than Ning Su, alchemists all revered alchemy skills, and there were few in the Pill Tower whose alchemy skills were better than Ning Su's.

"Elders, you flatter me. I was just lucky enough to subdue the strange fire, which is why I have my current level of alchemy skills."

"Without the strange fire, I definitely wouldn't be able to compare with the elders here." Ning Su was also humble, which made the other elders feel that he was easy to get along with.

Since there are no conflicts of interest among the people, they naturally get along more harmoniously.

Just then, several figures walked in from outside.

The leader was a middle-aged man whom Ning Su did not recognize.

But he recognized the petite figure following behind the man—Dan Chen.

The person who came should be an elder of the Dan family.

"Elder Danfeng, you've arrived." The other elders all bowed to him politely.

Dan Feng, the head of the Dan family and an eighth-grade alchemist, is one of the five major families of the Dan Tower. The Dan family's current status is inextricably linked to him.

"Is the president here?" Danfeng asked.

"The president should still be in the attic," someone replied.

Danfeng nodded and led Danchen up.

As Dan Chen passed by Ning Su, she glanced at him, but was too embarrassed to greet him in front of so many people.

The latest novel is first published here!

Ning Su was also curious: Did Dan Feng bring Dan Chen over at this time because he wanted Dan Chen to become a candidate for the future giant of the Dan Tower?

Given her status and alchemy skills, she was similar to Cao Ying and also qualified.

"That must be Elder Danfeng's daughter. She shone brightly at the Pill Gathering this time, successfully refining an eighth-grade pill."

"She is a genius in alchemy, on par with Cao Ying of the Cao family. It's just a pity that her physique is too poor. Otherwise, she should have become a candidate for a future giant long ago."

"Elder Danfeng brought her here today, probably to ask the guild leader for help."

The elders around him discussed in hushed tones, and Ning Su roughly gleaned some clues from their conversation.

In terms of both social standing and alchemy skills, Dan Chen is indeed no less capable than Cao Ying.

However, her constitution was too weak, so she didn't appear in front of the public very often.

If it weren't for this Dan Conference, not so many people would know Dan Chen.

The topic quickly passed, and everyone returned to alchemy.

……

Ning spent some time completing the pills she needed to refine. She could then exchange some medicinal herbs for free based on the pills she refined that day.

Just as he was about to leave, Xuan Kongzi suddenly came out from the small pavilion and said, "Elder Ning Su, do you have time to come up for a moment?"

Ning paused for a moment, then stepped upstairs.

"Is there something you need, President?"

"Come in."

He followed Xuan Kongzi into a room where Dan Feng and Dan Chen were both present.

"Elder Danfeng, this is Ning Su, the champion of this year's Dan Tournament and also an honorary elder of our Dan Tower."

"Elder Ning Su, this is Elder Dan Feng, the current head of the Dan family, and also an eighth-grade alchemist."

Xuan Kongzi gave them a brief introduction to each other.

"Greetings, Patriarch Danfeng." As a junior, Ning Su took the initiative to shake hands with Danfeng.

"Elder Ning, I called you here because I need your help," Xuan Kongzi said, taking the initiative to start the conversation.

"What kind of help?"

"This is Elder Danfeng's daughter, Dan Chen. You should have met her at the Dan Gathering."

"She possesses a constitution called the 'Soul-Eating Body,' which uncontrollably devours the soul power of anyone she comes into contact with, while also constantly consuming her own soul power."

"Over the years, our Dan Tower and the Dan family have been researching this, but so far we haven't made any progress. So we'd like to call Elder Ning Su up here to see if he has any ideas."
