Chapter 88 Surprise

"Rena, I'm leaving now. I'll come see you again another time."

Zhang Ailun put on his coat, feeling refreshed, and walked out of the shelter, waving goodbye to Reina on the second-floor balcony.

After leaving the green shelter, I took out my phone, checked the map, and walked to Old Pick's auto repair shop.

It took more than twenty minutes to get to the store, only to find that most of the employees had already left for the day, except for the manager, Darren, who was still there. Dominic had also been waiting there for a while, and the two of them were drinking water and chatting.

Zhang Ailun walked over and greeted him. When Darren saw the person in question arrive, he immediately invited him to visit the vehicles in the backyard. Once in the backyard, he immediately spotted the hiking RV.

He then led the two people into the car and pointed to a brand-new, spotless white toilet, saying, "The toilet has been replaced as you requested, and the interior wiring has also been redesigned. The cabinets and gas stove have also been fitted with new ignition devices; the switches can be turned tens of thousands of times, and the flint won't need replacing for a year."

To demonstrate that it was made of genuine materials, Darren started lighting the gas stove with a series of crackling sounds, and also took the opportunity to test the vehicle's original exhaust system.

With the windows closed in sleep-aid mode, the warm lighting throughout the interior created a wonderful atmosphere.

Dominic was also stunned and speechless the whole time. Under Zhang Ailun's guidance, he sat in the RV's chair and experienced it. It was very comfortable.

"Allen, you won't have to sleep in a tent anymore!" Dominic folded up the chair to make a bed, and lying on it, he felt like he didn't want to leave.

While ensuring a comfortable sleep, the RV can accommodate up to five or six people sleeping on it. If you really want to squeeze in, ten people can fit in.

"You like it? Then this bed is yours." Zhang Ailun immediately and generously gave him a bed. Anyway, there were two other beds in the RV besides the master bedroom, so he couldn't use them all by himself.

"That's not a good idea."

Dominic tactfully replied, "What if you bring a girl back to live with you in the future? Wouldn't I be a third wheel, disturbing your time together?"

"You don't need to worry at all, because you know almost everyone I know. We're all on the same side, so there's nothing to be shy about." Zhang Ailun waved his hand, indicating that these were not problems. "Take the documents to the vehicle management office another day and transfer the ownership of the RV to your name. "Okay." Dominic had no objection to this, since Zhang Ailun didn't have an identity card or household registration.

After checking the overall condition of the vehicle, I paid Darren $460 for maintenance and repairs and gave their service a five-star rating!

"You can come back to patronize our business if you encounter any repair problems in the future. And if the RV breaks down along the way, you can simply drive it back for after-sales service!"

Darren said frankly, explaining that he dared to say this because the shop's repair staff possessed excellent skills and would not cheat on the parts.

"There will be opportunities. Goodbye, Darren!" Zhang Ailun waved and greeted him warmly before sitting in the passenger seat.

Dominic familiarized himself with the operating system, stepped on the gas to start the vehicle, reversed out of the parking space, skillfully steered the wheel, and drove onto the road.

It seems everyone here can drive; Dominic's driving skills on the road are very solid.

"Goodbye." Darren waved and watched the car drive away.

While waiting at a traffic light, Dominic took a look at the driving experience. "Although the braking system and engine of this RV were manufactured in the last century, it's much easier to drive than many school buses and trucks!"

"Of course! This is a hiking-style motorhome, and GMC vehicles are still very popular even today. They can handle not only city driving and highways, but also less extreme rural terrain. That eight-cylinder engine is no joke!"

Zhang Ailun answered with a smile, leaning back in his seat and watching the sunset. The neon lights of the city were already on, and you could even see the towers in the central area in the distance.

The RV's audio system was activated, and a soothing, lyrical piece of music began to play.

The vehicle restarted and drove on the road. Zhang Ailun closed the window to shut out the noise of the city.

The two were immersed in a brief but beautiful atmosphere.

A few minutes later, they arrived at the fifth block. Instead of getting out of the car, the two discussed it and drove the RV directly into the open space of the No. 19 Bridge Underground Campground.

The RV's lights were bright but not glaring, very soft, and from a distance you could see several people sitting together, seemingly discussing something.

Dominic floored the gas pedal and sped off, turning on the high beams and honking the RV horn at the same time.

The campers at the bridge cave campsite huddled together, fully prepared for the trouble that was about to unfold. However, when they turned around and saw the RV that had suddenly barged in, with its headlights flashing and its horn honking rhythmically, they were all a bit stunned and confused.

"Where did this RV come from? Did those black guys come here to kidnap people in an RV?" Jason couldn't understand, but he was greatly shocked.

"I thought you were from the Sixth District. Where did you get this RV? Did you steal it?"

Old Hei was starting to have an existential crisis. "You guys actually dared to steal this thing back?"

We usually just go out and get some cheap stuff, but you two are amazing. You quietly pulled off a huge success.
