Chapter 46 The King's Ride
Chapter 46 The King's Ride
This software isn't really anything special. Its main uses are location tracking and purchasing the open-source Fullz data package. However, its influence is limited, and it's basically only usable in Los Angeles; it doesn't work well outside of Los Angeles.
Fullz means complete identity package.
Fullz typically contains names, dates of birth, home addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, driver's license numbers, family member information, financial details, and other relevant personal information. On the dark web, an identity package can sell for between $5 and $25, depending on the value of the information.
For ordinary vehicle information, it only costs 5-10 cents. For hundreds of dollars, you can buy a package of back-end information from the DMV (Department of Transportation), which includes vehicle update information for an average community over the past 3-5 years.
If it's a wealthy area, you'll have to pay a relatively high price because it's full of private luxury cars.
This software is also based on the integration of information utilization and software functions. It can be easily developed by a team of programmers with some computer skills. It is also a common type of software that operates in the gray market.
The administrator of the VT software is also very lazy, and many information updates are outdated. Information from several years ago is still in use and is not accurate. The coverage is limited to ordinary communities in Los Angeles. It has also been infiltrated by the police and they have started entrapment operations.
If you don't activate stealth mode, you might get caught by the police as soon as you log in.
If you activate the Stealth mode, you'll need to pay by the hour, which is 60 cents per minute, $1.2 per hour, and $28.8 per day (24 hours).
Zhang Ailun strongly suspects that the police officers were also involved, which is why he forced you to activate the stealth mode.
They want to meet you face-to-face and ask you why you logged into this software, where you downloaded it from, what your purpose is, and where your accomplices are.
I'll lock you in a dark room as a big reward.
Zhang Ailun operated the controls a few more times, then heard the sound of brakes coming from outside. Looking up, he saw two young men in black and white riding bicycles into the alley.
The other party greeted the group first, then immediately complained, "What's wrong with you guys? Why did you make us come back? We were about to finalize the price over there; the other party was willing to pay $69 for the bicycle!"
As soon as Zhang Ailun saw the deliveryman arrive, he immediately got up, pushed the group aside, and grabbed the bicycle brake to prevent the deliveryman from riding away.
After looking it over, I found that the bicycle was undamaged, except for a broken anti-theft lock.
Seeing the slightly bewildered Xiao Heizi, Zhang Ailun placed his hand on his shoulder and calmly said, "Not bad at lock picking, Bro."
"WTF! Where did you come from... Ouch! Shit!! Ouch, ouch, ouch..."
The black guy was about to unleash a torrent of curses when he suddenly felt as if an iron clamp had been gripping his shoulder, instantly extinguishing his anger and eliciting a wail.
Zhang Ailun, holding the bicycle with one hand and gripping the man's shoulder tightly with the other, pressed him to the ground and said with a forced smile, "What did you say? I didn't hear you clearly. Please repeat it carefully, okay?"
The person next to them was dumbfounded.
Seeing that his accomplices remained unmoved, he quickly realized something was wrong and hurriedly got out of the car, shouting, "Hey! Stop hitting me! That car is yours!"
"It was mine to begin with!!"
Zhang Ailun glared at him fiercely, then glanced at the bicycle with the butterfly sticker, his interest piqued. "Did you steal this bike too?"
"I bought this." The young white man tried to deny it, but under Zhang Ailun's intimidating gaze, he felt a chill run down his spine and could only admit the truth: "Okay, I got it from a cycling store for free, but I've been riding it for two weeks now and there's basically nothing wrong with it."
"Are you an undercover officer from the Southern Precinct?" Xiao Heizi asked hesitantly, instantly suspecting that his side was being entrapped.
"This bike is mine now." Zhang Ailun ignored the black guy and decisively requisitioned the white guy's bicycle.
He was just worried about not having a means of transportation, and now someone has delivered the goods to his door.
He released the little black guy he had subdued, pushed him aside, got in, and test-drove his new vehicle. He rode it around the alley for a short while and felt pretty good about it.
Zhang Ailun was very satisfied. He turned to the group and said, "This street is now my territory. From now on, you are not allowed to commit crimes nearby without my permission, and you are not allowed to pick up the cans. My men will come and take over. Do you understand?"
"As long as you're still nearby, I can locate you anytime through the VT bounty system. Don't take any chances. You'd better stay far, far away! The farther the better!"
The black guy and the white guy glanced back at their companions. Seeing that they couldn't utter a word for a while, they realized that they had really messed up. They had been beaten up by the other guy on their own turf!
Too ashamed to even suggest taking back the territory, he could only leave the alley in disgrace.
Watching them leave, Zhang Ailun rode his butterfly-sticker bicycle, holding Simone's bicycle with one hand, took a picture, and sent it to her.
Zhang Ailun: The King's Ride!
Simone: Where did you get those Trek butterflies?
Zhang Ailun: Trek Butterfly? My car is indeed a Trek road car brand, but it's not a butterfly; it's just a car wrap that I randomly put on.
He considered himself fairly knowledgeable about bicycle brands. Trek Butterfly's fame is mostly due to hype from marketing accounts.
In 09, Armstrong rode a Trek bicycle with a real butterfly specimen in a competition, which was reported by an animal protection organization. Later, the bicycle was auctioned off for $50 at a charity auction.
Spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy a bicycle, unless you're extremely wealthy or simply using it for tax evasion and money laundering, would definitely make you look like an idiot.
Simone: Even a bootleg Trek is a mid-to-high-end brand, much better than my no-name Target bike.
Zhang Ailun: I got this bicycle from some homeless people on the street; they gave it to me.
Simone was instantly silenced by him.
A gift for you? Did you steal it? Why didn't they give it to me?
Simone: Your bicycle is indeed not expensive. I checked, and it's only worth $200.
Zhang Ailun: You call that not valuable? Someone else only offered $69 for your bicycle.
Simone: What do you mean? You sold my Target folding bike?
Zhang Ailun immediately explained what had happened on his end and then tried to take credit for the other party's actions.
Zhang Ailun: If it weren't for my strong fists, I definitely wouldn't have gotten your bicycle back!
Simone: You did a great job, honey! I hope you won't park your bike on the side of the road next time you go out, especially in crowded places without cameras. It's a really stupid thing to do.
Zhang Ailun: So where do I stop? In your heart?
The black woman immediately fell silent.
I don't know if it was because I was charmed by such sophisticated cheesy pickup lines.
Zhang Ailun then sent his current coordinates to Dominic, briefly informing him of the situation and asking if he could bring people to shop there later, and inquiring whether Dominic was currently open for business.
This news really startled Dominic.
Dominic: Dude! You're incredibly efficient! You've taken over another street? At this rate, we might run out of manpower! I'm currently on Leo Street, and Leo brought a female companion who says she wants to join us.
Zhang Ailun: You can handle it as you see fit. After all, you're the second-in-command of our team. You don't need to tell me everything about personnel changes. Once the territory is big and strong, and we have enough manpower, we won't need to go out and work so hard anymore. We can just sit back and collect money!
Dominic: I don't think there's any need to rest. It's more reassuring to have something to do!
Zhang Ailun: Do whatever you want.
I asked about Sig and learned that he had done a pretty good job on his first day of work, having already collected more than two hundred bottles. I praised him and then stopped chatting.
As long as the Beggars' Sect disciples are willing to work hard, the leader's life will get better and better in the future.
After packing up and folding up Simone's bicycle, Zhang Ailun set off on his Trek Butterfly.
