America: Starting with Daily Intelligence

Chapter 16 Opening Lightning Strike

Chapter 16 Opening Lightning Strike

Dave was charged in court with illegally distributing adult videos in public and leaking his employer's personal information. He also admitted to having a history of group sex and drug use, and even had a dark past of fantasizing about his neighbor's classmate's mother.

At the time, the Texas courts were still preoccupied with sentencing the white police officer, so they didn't pay much attention to this issue, which left a potential problem for him.

The defendant's lawyer, who is also the current boyfriend of Dave's ex-girlfriend and an old classmate of his, is relentlessly pursuing these pieces of evidence.

But before the defense lawyers could even get going, Dave's own biographical information made his adversary, ex-lover, and old classmate's lawyer question his own existence.

Dude, are you deliberately trying to avoid going back to the past? Stop talking! I'm really scared!!

I just wanted to win the case and settle the debt dispute, not send you to jail!

Considering your girlfriend is very voluptuous and clings to the sheets hysterically calling your name every night, please stop talking!

Please! I beg you!

Dave was a notorious losing lawyer with a perfect record in his career. He honestly confessed everything and couldn't win a single case.

A court hearing stunned the judge, the jury, the defendant's ex-girlfriend, the defendant's lawyer, and everyone present, including the security personnel in the audience...

He was sentenced to one year and six months in prison.

After posting bail, he essentially declared himself bankrupt.

With no house, no car, and no savings, he was forced to live on the streets.

What a talent!!

Zhang Ailun couldn't describe his feelings.

Such people actually exist.

"Goodnight, Alan! Goodnight, Simone." Dave waved and walked away gracefully.

"Good night."

Watching the other person leave, Zhang Ailun could only sigh that this place truly lived up to its magical reputation as America.

He took out $15 and handed it to Simone, who was already quite drunk, completely intoxicated, and unconscious.

"This is the money I borrowed from you during the day. I'm returning it to you now. We're even, Simone! Hey! Are you still conscious?" Zhang Ailun nudged her shoulder.

He casually slipped the money into the other person's pocket.

"We're even? Hmm... So what about all the things you've done to me? Allen, do you Asians all like this kind of irresponsibility?"

Simone, who spoke with a lisp, leaned in with some displeasure and plopped down on Zhang Ailun.

He wrapped his arms around her neck, his breath on her face, smelling of alcohol, and you could even feel his body temperature.

Zhang Ailun was completely numb.

Wait, did you forget something?

Zhang Ailun suddenly remembered something and turned to look over.

They found little Lori sitting silently in the corner, almost completely unnoticed. He was looking up at the starry sky, seemingly lost in thought.

Zhang Ailun coughed lightly, interrupting the other person's thoughts.

Little Lori slowly came to her senses, turned her head to look at him, and when she saw the two of them stacked on top of each other, her eyes became subtle.

I immediately gave him a knowing look.

With a deep, husky voice that couldn't be developed without ten years of phlegm and ten years of smoking, he said, "Goodnight, buddy. Have a nice night."

He lit a cigarette with added spices, grabbed a bottle of liquor, and suddenly sprang to his feet.

He turned around, draped his black leather jacket over his shoulders, and limped into the darkness.

You could faintly hear him humming a lullaby.

It seems to be a Chinese song?

A mother's kiss.

That's not an insult.

Because Zhang Ailun had just heard the song, which was called "Mom's Kiss".

In that remote little mountain village, oh, that little mountain village, my dear mother's hair has turned white...

There's definitely something going on with this old black guy!

Looking back at Simone, who was somewhat unconscious and whose shoulder was soaked with drool, he decided not to indulge her bad habit and picked her up and threw her into the tent.

The campfire was extinguished, and the solar lights outside the tent were manually turned off.

"Good night."

Zhang Ailun pulled up the tent, turned around and left decisively.

"Fxxk!!"

After the footsteps faded into the distance, low curses and the sound of people pounding on the blankets and pillows could be heard coming from inside the tent.

But soon after, low panting sounds were heard again.

Zhang Ailun was unaware that he had been labeled as "worse than an animal".

They actually refused to be helpful to others.

He's so stingy.

Simone's fingers will definitely be much cleaner than usual tomorrow.

Back under Bridge 19, the lights in Dominic's tent were off.

Zhang Ailun returned to his tent and collapsed, quickly falling asleep.

The next day.

As expected, Zhang Ailun was woken up by the notification sound of the "Daily Intelligence" report.

I groggily took out my phone, unlocked the screen, and glanced at it.

Lightning strikes at the opening ceremony!!

He instantly became fully awake.

[Daily News: Your good neighbor Simone, hungover last night, cursed you a thousand times, saying you're not a real man and used you as a target for her pent-up frustration, roughly satisfying her sexual needs with her fingers.]

[Daily News: Homeless man Stephen stole $160 and hid it in the No. 4 sewer drain at the Kakin Bridge, along with three cheap cigars and a bottle of counterfeit 1800 Sirena Del Deseo silver label tequila. Details: A lost wallet and ID photos were discarded in a black trash can in the No. 8 alleyway. Anyone who helps find them will receive a reward from the owner.]

[Daily Update: Reina's shelter is short-staffed today due to many staff being off duty. A charity delivery truck will be arriving at 15:30 PM with tents and relief supplies, and she urgently needs to hire daily-paid movers.]

Zhang Ailun sat up, scratched his messy hair, and looked utterly bewildered.

That black girl really does have feelings for me.

No, it's already like this after only knowing each other for a day?

I can't even imagine what will happen when we get to know each other better!

Zhang Ailun has to admit that he is incredibly charming.

Americans tend to be too direct when it comes to relationships.

But what he cared about more was something else entirely.

Why is there no information about the Baal food truck today?

why?

I'm going to die without Bali relief meals!!!

I glanced at the calendar and realized today is Saturday.

They don't work on weekends.

Fxxk! !

You can say the Americans aren't good enough, but have you ever seen a non-profit organization that takes time off on Saturdays and Sundays?

Public servants should work overtime to contribute to public welfare and become pillars of the nation!

Zhang Ailun got out of bed fuming, but thankfully the other two pieces of information were still useful; at least he wouldn't have to go out and pick up trash today.

Time to get back to manual labor and move bricks.

Fortunately, Reina and Zhang Ailun knew each other, so he could use Dominic's connections to get in through her back door, and even take a shower at her place.

They didn't choose to wake Dominic, who was still sleeping. He was obviously a lazybones and wouldn't get up until noon.

Zhang Ailun hastily washed his face and rinsed his mouth with the precious water he had been using.

He glanced at himself in the broken glass mirror; his beard was stubble and his hair was greasy.

The sexy tough guy has lost some of his fresh and sunny vibe since he first arrived, and gained more experience, vicissitudes, and a touch of greasiness.

This is what homeless people are like.

Zhang Ailun didn't care about his personal image. He couldn't even afford to eat, so what was the point of worrying about that? He was even too lazy to exercise and run actively anymore. He seemed to have no energy left and became listless.

I've become so decadent!

After gritting my teeth and jogging half a lap to warm up, I decisively chose to conserve my energy.

I stopped burning calories until I was sure I was full.

After leaving under Bridge 19, we passed by the tent camp and took a quick look at the tent where Simone was.

The other party hasn't made any move today, and their bicycle is still parked next to them. They certainly don't intend to waste any time to recharge during their vacation.

That's good, otherwise Zhang Ailun really wouldn't know how to face someone who uses him as a fantasy object. Seeing Simone's face would definitely make him have all sorts of wild thoughts.

Coincidentally, Zhang Ailun soon encountered Dave, the legal pioneer who had just woken up, at the fork in the road.
