Chapter 69 Slaughter

Chapter 69 Slaughter

"Ouch!" Tyr cried out in pain, and at the same time Ian quickly snatched the skewer from his hand and plunged it into his eye socket.

The pain was immense, and Tyr let out another heart-wrenching scream.

Ian laughed, "You're right, it really hurts!"

The thugs at the door turned around in astonishment, and then saw a scene that shocked them.

The thug who had pierced Tyr's body with an iron spike had already drawn his gun and fired two shots at the thug, killing him.

He said to Ian, "You should have covered his mouth. Now we're in trouble; there are a lot of people outside."

"No trouble, give me the gun." Ian took the gun from his hand.

The thug was taken aback: "What are you planning to do?"

Ian shot him in the head.

The gunman fell down with his eyes wide open.

Ian smiled: "Don't worry, I never break my word. I'll burn you a million-dollar check."

Then I walked toward the stairs.

The gunshots clearly alerted the people upstairs, and a group of thugs rushed over. Someone stood at the stairwell shouting, "What happened? There's no need to use guns."

Ian raised his hand and fired a shot, and the thug fell down.

My marksmanship really came in handy.

"It's necessary," he said with a smile.

Everyone was shocked at the same time, but they were no novices, and immediately opened fire on the stairwell.

Ian had already slipped to the side, only using his X-ray vision to see the bullets in their gun barrels.

Unfortunately, these guys were much more experienced than the hotel gunmen and didn't do the stupid thing of firing all their bullets at once.

"My eyes are going to hurt again," Ian sighed.

Invisible threads connect to the guns in the hands of the shooters, and the safety is gently pulled.

He then headed towards the stairs.

Several gunmen appeared at the same time and opened fire on Ian, only to find to their astonishment that they could not fire.

He was momentarily surprised to see the gun in his hand.

In just a moment of stunned silence, Ian raised his hand and fired. The roaring bullets struck the group, and several gunmen fell to the ground instantly.

One of the gunmen noticed in time that the safety was off and turned it back on.

Ian lacked experience in using the silk thread and failed to retract it in time, resulting in one thread breaking and causing a sharp pain in his right eye.

"Fuck!" He cursed angrily as he rushed out with his right eye closed, enduring the stinging pain, and sprayed bullets at the other two gunmen at the stairwell, knocking them all down.

Then he switched to a different gun and continued on his way.

"Kill him!" Kreps shouted from not far away.

It seems they've realized what's going on.

Ian walked up to a door with a cold smile and opened fire on it. The gunman behind the door fell down, and blood gushed out from the crack in the door.

Ian walked out gracefully, stepping over the corpses scattered on the ground and trudging through the blood-red mud, heading towards Kreps's study.

He stopped in front of the wall by the door and said, "Kreps, I know you're in there, and there are three other people with guns pointed at the door, and you're trembling."

Bang bang bang!

Gunfire erupted in rapid succession.

Ian felt the bullets whizzing through the wooden door beside him, calmly lit a cigarette, and said, "Put down your weapon, and I won't kill you."

This time I'm telling the truth.

Kill one boss, and another boss will soon appear.

It's better to keep it for yourself!

"I won't believe you!" Kreps shouted.

Ian shook his head slightly and muttered to himself, "You shouldn't hide in the study, especially a study with a window."

He turned and walked out of the villa, around it, to the side, and stood under the window of the outer room. Ian raised his hand and fired.

Two shots were fired, and Kripps' two bodyguards also fell down, shot in the back of the head.

Kreps yelled and turned to fire, but Ian had already taken cover behind the wall: "I'm giving you one last chance. Put down your weapon, and I won't kill you. You have three bullets left; they can't stop me."

What?

How did he know how many bullets I had left?

Kreps was horrified.

While experienced veterans can determine the opponent's remaining bullets by shooting, this usually requires knowing what kind of gun you're using and how many bullets you have.

How could he possibly know that?

Ian continued, "Oh, right, you still have a double-barreled shotgun on your wall, and twenty-one 7mm bullets in your drawer, but believe me, that thing's reload speed is too deadly, it's useless. So, giving up your weapon is your best option, and if you're obedient enough, I'll give you a bright future."

After a while, a thud was heard from inside the house.

Kripps said, "I've let it go."

Ian sneered, "If you lie again, I'll splatter your brains out. Remember, you can't fool me, because I'm far more powerful than you know! You can't fool a journalist's insight!"

Fuck!

Are journalists' insightful observations really that amazing?

Kripps was in despair.

Ian had turned and returned to his room through the front door.

When he returned to the study door, Kreps actually put down the gun.

so horrible!

Is this bastard a devil?

Ian pushed open the door and pointed the gun at Kreps: "Very good, you made the right choice. Now tell me, when are Kemble's men arriving?"

Kreps's dark face turned deathly pale: "Two more hours."

Ian said, "I'll give you twenty minutes to regroup and clean this place up again."

He sighed and glanced at the corpse on the ground.

The latest novel is first published here!

What great news!

But in order to take down the Crippled Gang, he had to give up the news.

At that moment, Ian said he would sit down in Kripps's seat.

He rested his chin on his hand, deep in thought.

He now feels that his superhuman eyesight isn't enough to fight these gangsters; he needs to train harder and wear a bulletproof vest whenever possible.

Kripps had no choice but to use his phone to call for backup.

He was also horrified by the sight of the corpses outside.

Many of these people had guns. He noticed that Ian was thinking, so he gently picked one up from the ground and carefully went to the door.

But he didn't fire. Instead, he put the gun behind his back, pretended to make a phone call, and actually stared at Ian.

He wasn't sure if Ian had discovered what he was doing; the guy was too mysterious, too strange.

Even now, he still can't figure out how Ian did it.

Ian thought for a moment, then suddenly remembered something. He stood up and said, "Usually, people in your line of work should have safes, secret vaults, and ledgers and such, right? Where are they?"

Kreps, with a pistol slung over his shoulder, said, "See that painting on the wall? The safe is behind it."

Ian knew, of course, but he was just pretending not to.

He smiled and said, "Nothing new."

He walked over, took down the picture frame, and sure enough, saw a safe.

"Password," he said.

Kripps told him the password, and Ian began to spin the cipher wheel.

At this moment, he was facing away from Kreps.

Kripps slowly walked over, pressed the muzzle of the gun against Ian's head, and said with a sinister smile, "Now? How are you going to turn the tables?"

Ian didn't turn his head and continued spinning the cipher machine.

Turn to the last number, and the safe opens.

Inside were some gold bars, US dollars, documents, and bearer bonds, totaling approximately five million.

Ian laughed. "Wow, not bad. You really know how to make money in the mob. Gaskell said never to get money through gambling, but there should be an exception, right? I mean, this means you get more than just money; you get power. Right, buddy?"

Kripps yelled, "My gun's pointed at your head!"

Ian finally turned his face away.

He looked at Kripps with a sneer and said, "Pull the trigger."

What?

Kreps was stunned.

As a gang leader, he certainly couldn't lack the courage to kill.

The next moment he fired a shot at Ian, but didn't actually fire it.

What happened?

Ian snatched the gun away and casually released the safety: "You didn't release the safety, buddy."

This is impossible!

Kreps was horrified.

Ian had already fired a shot into Kripps' thigh.

"Ouch!" Kreps screamed and fell to his knees.

Ian put his gun away: "This is your last chance. If there's a next time, you're dead."

Looking at Kripps' injured leg, he smiled and said, "That's what you call the Cripples' Gang!"
