Chapter 27 The Possibility of the Birth of the "Human Research Institute"
Tone: This is a fanfiction/satisfying story, entirely fictional, and the author's mental state is so bad it could land them in the hospital. Because life is truly tough, and the mysterious fanfiction I wrote before was just too painful. I don't want this one to be that bitter.
However, I welcome your feedback and suggestions on any unreasonable points. I'm a good author who enjoys listening to (and reading) opinions (of my book). [Pick up your integrity!]
Q: Could a research institute within a human tribe be established at the end of the Second Era, before the Far East truly awakens?
Let's recall a mysterious character from the original work:
Heath Doyle, the "Bloodless One": Second Mate of the Star Pirates.
In the original story, Heath, an ordinary person, was accidentally splashed with a potion made from extraordinary ingredients by the "Rose Bishop," and then what?
He was neither insane nor deformed. He became Sequence Six, the "Rose Bishop".
Having acquired the extraordinary abilities of the "Rose Bishop" (as described in the original Mystery novel), and because he did not go through the "Listener" stage, he was not corrupted and did not go insane. As long as he does not actively use the extraordinary ability of "Listening," he will always remain a normal person (as set in the original Mystery novel).
This is a lucky case from the original Mystery series. In other words, in the distant past, when the first "Blasphemy Tablet" appeared, it was possible for humans to give birth to extraordinary beings in the middle sequence.
Then the second person:
Hermes.
That is, the prototype of our female protagonist.
The female protagonist, "Hermione," is a female version of "Hermes." The reason for this is because I'm writing a fictionalized version. Hermes doesn't exist in this world; there's only "Hermione" (this is a secondary setting in this story). The name Hermione is simply a gender-swapped version of Hermes, and it also has a more familiar translation: "Hermione." Therefore, the female protagonist's name can also be "Hermione" [laughs].
Getting back to the main point, Roselle's diary in the original work also mentions Hermes [who personally experienced the thorny path of the early humans testing medicines on themselves, step by step seeking extraordinary power].
This also shows that although humans are the weakest race, they have never given up trying, and "test subjects" do exist.
The third point discusses the uniqueness of human beings.
In the original novel, the Pan-Human faction is called the Pan-Human faction because giants, elves, and other Pan-Human races evolved from humans under the influence of extraordinary characteristics. The ancestors of the Pan-Human races were humans. The remains of the parents of the ancient god "King of Giants," Ormir, were human.
The madness of extraordinary races stems from their unique and complex characteristics. Humans, lacking such extraordinary characteristics, are inherently devoid of this madness. In other words, humans are the most rational of all races (i.e., possessing high intelligence).
Based on the above three points, we have the idea for this book:
A lucky individual from a certain human tribe unexpectedly gained supernatural powers from another race, becoming a king among humans. Then, a powerful being from another supernatural race passed by, and he went to confront him, only to die...
Therefore, as many of these lucky individuals die, those who come after them will inevitably become cautious. Under the pressure of those powerful and fanatical superhuman races, some of them band together, gradually gathering and forming a certain scale.
I called this large-scale institution the "Research Institute." Of course, following the naming conventions of the original Mysterious Mystery novels, it should be called something like "Avalon" or "Utopia."
The above is my conceptualization process when creating the second design.
The history of the second to fifth eras of the Mysterious World, in the original Mysterious World novels, is truly shrouded in mystery, since we can't see any official history books about the Mysterious World. In terms of details, I can only try my best to fill in the gaps within the existing framework.
Of course, I might overlook some details from the original work, so I welcome everyone to point them out, and I will consider and correct them as appropriate. However, every novel has its own rhythm and plot, and I can only say that I will do my best.
That's all, thank you for your support.
Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!
Finally, I'm begging you all to contribute to this series! I really want to be on the list again, please! [Throws a tantrum]
I would also appreciate any votes you can cast to help this book climb the new book charts. Thank you everyone!
