"Achoo! Who's thinking about me?"

Super busy Li Qinglan sneezed. She already had a ton of things to do, and now there was another one. The neighboring base was about to disband, and they'd be missing out if they didn't try and take a bite out of them. Their strategy was to strike while the iron was hot, so she was even busier than usual.

"Big Sister Qinglan, do you know where I can get a stove made?"

Li Qinglan: ...

Why is this child always causing her trouble? Even though Ningbao is very cute, she doesn't really want to see Ningbao anymore.

Li Qinglan breathed a sigh of relief after getting rid of Ning Bao with a low-level metal-attribute ability user. A sixth-level ability user is quite important, you know. She can't be working herself to the bone while her subordinates are idle and bored; that wouldn't be right.

So, Li Qinglan herself is already busy, and the people under her will only be busier. If too many people are sent to help Ningbao, who will do the work for her?

Fortunately, it was just a simple little stove, enough for a low-level metal-type energy user. Ning Bao would eventually need to take the stove to Mu Mu to inscribe the formation anyway. Otherwise, a stove made of ordinary materials wouldn't have been able to withstand Ning Bao's explosion.

"Mumu, Ningbao's back!"

Mumu was sewing clothes; it was a job she had taken on from other people at the base, a paid job.

How to put it? She only recently found out that the base could actually make sewing machines. So, if they have sewing machines, why are their stitches still so bad they look like they were chewed by a dog? Forget about how beautiful they are, they should at least be neat and tidy, right?

Mumu, who has always been skillful with her hands, simply couldn't understand how such a large group of people could be considered clumsy. Besides, judging from their behavior in certain areas, they didn't seem clumsy at all. The real clumsy one was her little Ningbao.

Mumu looked up from her work and saw Ningbao, who was as black as a lump of coal.

She felt like she might... be angry, right? But actually, she was already quite used to it.

Mu Mu had already considered the implications in her mind. There were actually many disadvantages to Ning Bao doing the mission. Because she was a child, although children might sometimes evoke sympathy, if there was any real grudge, others wouldn't show mercy just because Ning Bao was a child.

Another issue is that a child's words lack credibility. The same sentence spoken by a wise old man has a completely different effect than one spoken by a little child.

Of course, the most important point is the issue of mindset. This goes without saying; children and adults are definitely different.

So, all things considered, the apocalypse is actually quite favorable to Ning Bao. It primarily demands strength, while requiring less intelligence.

If this were in some other world where brains are required, Mu Mu doesn't even want to think about how Ning Bao would survive. Even her only advantage—her superhuman strength—might easily turn her into a monster or something. And Ning Bao clearly doesn't have the strength to fight against the entire world.

The only downside of the apocalypse is that it goes through so many clothes. Not just clothes, but pants, shoes, and even hair ties. Ningbao even lost the hair tie she used to tie her little bun while fighting! No wonder so many people in the base shaved their heads.

But Mumu imagined Ningbao wandering around with a buzz cut, and simply couldn't bring herself to do it.

So, can someone tell her why all the characters on TV in the past could finish fighting without their clothes being damaged?

Mumu mentally complained as she brushed Ningbao's teeth. After brushing Ningbao's teeth, she brushed the white cakes, then did the laundry, then mended the clothes... Oh, right, she hadn't even cooked dinner yet. She had only prepared a side dish, intending to wait for Ningbao to come back and see what Ningbao had done before deciding what to make in the end.

"Ningbao, how's the pill refining going? Is it suitable for a fire-type ability user?"

"Yes, you can!"

Ningbao was still struggling with her wet hair; drying it was proving to be a bit too difficult for her. It wasn't that she didn't know how, but she just couldn't get it completely dry. Finally, Mumu couldn't bear to watch any longer and put down what she was doing to dry Ningbao's hair.

Ningbao was very well-behaved, trying her best to keep her head still, and pulled a packet of black powder from her pocket with her chubby little hands:

"Look, Ningbao did it! Isn't Ningbao awesome?"

Ningbao puffed out her chest with a little pride, but then she remembered that Mumu was drying her hair, and she immediately stopped moving.

"Great! Hmm... but... why is this powder black?"

Mumu glanced at what Ningbao was holding in her hand. She clearly remembered that the powder should be white.

"It's...it's a little bit burnt."

Ning Bao rolled her eyes a little guiltily, but immediately regained her composure:

"But you can't blame Ningbao. Uncle just can't control the timing properly, and Ningbao can't teach him no matter what."

"Okay, will this thing work?"

"Yes, you can! Ningbao only gave it to Mumu because it's usable."

"Yes, our little Ningbao is the best, isn't she?"

A flawless version after careful inspection!

"right!"

Ningbao leaned closer to touch Mumu, but Mumu blocked her forehead with one hand.

"Don't move, your hair isn't dry yet."

……

That day, everyone in the base enjoyed a super lavish meal made entirely of chickens. Mumu spent the entire time cooking, a full four or five hours, even using a two-meter-tall pot.

There was nothing she could do; apart from her, the entire base couldn't muster a single chef. No one could help her; at most, they could wash vegetables for her.

To commemorate such a wonderful day, Li Qinglan even planned to designate it as a festival, where this kind of chicken would be eaten every year on this day! Let's call it the Wooden Chicken Festival.

Mumu, who worked as a laborer all day: (^^)

From the moment she got up this morning: cooking, mending clothes, cooking, washing Ningbao, washing white cakes, washing clothes, mending clothes, cooking...

Looking at the large group of hungry people and the two large baskets of un-mended clothes, it truly proved to Mumu what it means that as long as she is willing to work, there will always be work to be done.

Although it's all paid, but... what's the point of making these sewing machines? Are they just for show?

As an all-around little snake, Mumu felt that it would probably be easier to go out and fight zombies.

The next day, Ningbao was dragged along by Mumu to be a "little teacher." Whether it was cooking or refining pills, these were tasks that Ningbao and Mumu couldn't handle alone; the workload was simply too great.
