Chapter 2: A Child Tears Apart Zombies in the Apocalypse (2)

Although it was an abandoned human base, it shouldn't have been abandoned for long. Mumu glanced around and found that there were still quite a few usable items.

Although they knew they were going to be transported to a post-apocalyptic world, they had prepared a lot of resources in the Beast Taming World beforehand. But who doesn't want more supplies?

"Ningbao, come back here after you catch the zombie."

Mu Mu stopped and immediately used the Beast Taming Contract to communicate with Ning Bao ahead.

"Okay~"

Ning Bao had no objections and readily agreed.

Mu Mu watched Ning Bao's cheerful little figure disappear into the distance, a worried look in her eyes. She felt something was off; hadn't the Heavenly Dao of the Apocalypse said that zombies only knew how to destroy?

"Don't run away! Your eyeballs are going to fall out!"

Compared to Mumu, Ningbao's ideas were much simpler.

On the ruins of the apocalypse, a cute little dumpling chases after a terrifying zombie, holding up a white eyeball in its hand.

Even though the zombie's features were completely rotten, and its jaw was gone, anyone else would be very surprised to still see terror on its face.

"Don't run away, there's a wall in front of you."

What bad intentions could a child possibly have? She was just kindly warning the zombies in front of her.

However, upon hearing this, the zombie ran even faster and crashed into the wall with a loud thud.

Hey, you know what? This wall is really well-made, it's survived for over fifty years since the apocalypse. There's absolutely no sign of it collapsing from being hit by zombies.

As the adorable little dumpling approached step by step with its short legs, the poor zombie shrank back into the corner, like a little girl who had encountered a scoundrel, letting out desperate whimpers.

"Why are you running away? Ningbao just wants to give your eyes back to you."

Ningbao couldn't understand the zombie's fear. She stood on tiptoe and stretched out her little hand, trying to stuff the zombie's eyeballs back into him.

However, the zombies were too tall and unwilling to bend down, which made it difficult for Xiao Ningbao, who was only a little over a meter tall.

"Could you please lower your head a little?"

Ningbao is a polite child and very courteously asked for the other person's opinion.

Zombies: (˙ー˙)

So, guess what I am?

I'm a zombie, a zombie! I can't bend over at all!

The zombie, who had just developed a tiny bit of intelligence, was now filled with utter despair. He would rather he had never developed intelligence and had been painlessly killed by the "zombie killer" in front of him with a single sword stroke, just like his other companions.

Ningbao waited patiently for a full minute, but the zombie in front of her didn't move an inch. She tentatively stretched out her chubby little hand:

"Then I'll pull you down a little."

The zombie instinctively shuddered, but whether he stuck his head out or not, he was going to be slashed anyway; there was no escaping it today. He had witnessed the child's strength firsthand; if the child wanted to chase him, he had no chance of escaping, so he might as well wait to die here.

As a zombie, wasn't he already dead? It's just dying again, what's there to be afraid of!

Well, if we ignore his trembling body, his idea might be more convincing.

Ning Bao, of course, knew nothing about this, since she couldn't read minds. She tentatively reached out her chubby little paw and tugged at the zombie.

Then, the next second, the zombie's arm that Ning Bao was holding fell off with a thud.

Little Ningbao, who wasn't exerting any force: ? ? ?

A tiny head, a big question mark.

The zombie was so frightened that it knelt down, its knees bent forward in a bizarre posture, its body slumped uncontrollably, and its non-existent chin hit the ground, giving Ning Bao a deep bow.

Ning Bao stood there stunned for three seconds, then happily stuffed the eyeball back into the zombie's eye socket and patted the zombie's head:

"Okay, thank you for providing Ningbao with the supplies."

But then there was a cracking sound, and the zombie's head, which was only connected by skin and flesh, rolled off.

Ning Bao glanced blankly at the arm she was still holding in her right hand, then at the head that had rolled to the side.

But Ningbao really didn't use any force, what is this called... what is this called again?

Oh, right, it's called "insurance fraud," isn't it?

Even though his head was off, zombies are creatures that won't die unless you smash their heads open and remove the zombie core inside.

At that moment, the newly implanted eye on the head that had rolled to one side blinked, meeting Xiao Ningbao's gaze.

Although she felt like she'd been scammed, the child thought about it and realized that the zombie had provided her with so many supplies. It didn't seem right to leave his body here and only take his head back.

And so, with her immense strength, little Ningbao, carrying a zombie's arm in one hand, a head in the other, and a zombie's body on her back, trotted back on her short legs.

How so?

A fair-skinned, plump, and soft little dumpling dragging a zombie—a zombie torn to pieces—throughout the post-apocalyptic ruins is a sight that leaves much to be desired.

A flawless version after careful inspection!

However, the baby in question didn't feel that anything was wrong.

Because of its height, the zombie's legs dragged on the ground. Its already fragile flesh rubbed against the uneven road surface the whole way.

As Ningbao walked, she suddenly noticed that she felt lighter. She looked back and realized that she had lost a leg.

The zombie head being dragged along: ...

My little ancestor, killing someone is just a matter of beheading them, killing a zombie is just about digging out their crystal core, just give me a quick death, don't torture the zombie like this!

Unfortunately, his rotting vocal cords prevented him from producing such complete sentences.

As for your question about why he didn't attack Ning Bao?

Should we check if he still has any teeth in his mouth? And if he still has any fingernails? Forget fingernails, he doesn't even have any toenails! How can we attack him? How can we attack him?!

On this point, the obedient Ningbao completely followed Mumu's teachings. "Don't let zombies cut your skin, or you'll get infected."

However, Ningbao is a little worried now. She glanced at the arm she was holding and then at the leg that had fallen to the ground.

Oh dear~ Ningbao only has two hands, she can't hold them all.

But Ningbao is Ningbao; she gets to work immediately and refuses to waste her energy. If she can't win, she'll just make a couple of trips; it's not a big deal.

"Ningbao is back."

A girl who looked about eight or nine years old walked out of the abandoned base filled with all kinds of human corpses or zombie limbs.

She wore a loose white T-shirt, gray sweatpants, and white sneakers. Her entire demeanor exuded a gentle grace, completely out of place with the post-apocalyptic atmosphere around her; she seemed more like a refined lady from ancient times.

This is, of course, Mumu, who was just diligently cleaning.

"Mmm~"

Upon seeing Mumu come out, Ningbao immediately threw the zombie in her hand aside and happily tried to rush into Mumu's arms.

"Go take a shower and change your clothes; they're all covered in corpse oil."

Welcome everyone to virtually raise Ningbao!
