Chapter 39 Sermon

Chapter 39 Sermon (Combined Chapter)

At this moment, two more people entered. One of them was dressed in a magnificent golden robe embroidered with a three-legged golden crow, and the other was also dressed in a magnificent golden robe embroidered with a three-legged golden crow.

They all exuded a powerful and righteous aura, extremely yang and strong, just like the sun and stars.

The two are none other than Di Jun and Tai Yi, two great saints of the demon race on the sun star.

When Di Jun and Tai Yi saw that each of the six prayer mats in the palace was occupied by a person with great supernatural powers, a hint of displeasure flashed across their faces.

"Di Jun and Tai Yi greet fellow Daoists!" Di Jun and Tai Yi stepped forward and bowed to the Three Pure Ones, Nuwa, Hong Yun, and other great supernatural beings.

However, only Fuxi nodded slightly; the other great supernatural beings were all wandering off in spirit, unable to finish their questions, even Nuwa and Kunpeng, who were also great saints of the demon race, were like this.

Seeing this, Di Jun and Tai Yi were stunned for a moment, then became furious. They glared at the Three Pure Ones and the others before finding a corner to sit down.

This place is the sacred site of the Zixiao Palace, so even though Dijun and Taiyi were extremely angry, they still dared not do anything excessive.

A hint of amusement flashed in Zhen Yuanzi's eyes. It seemed that the relationship between Nuwa, Dijun, and Taiyi was not so harmonious.

Then, more and more powerful individuals arrived one after another.

Zhen Yuanzi discovered that there seemed to be a hidden secret inside the Zixiao Palace. The originally small space inside the palace did not become crowded and remained quite spacious.

Zhen Yuanzi couldn't help but sigh inwardly; the supernatural powers and methods of Dao Ancestor Hongjun were far beyond his imagination.

Fortunately, after more than a thousand years of studying the laws of space, Zhen Yuanzi was able to barely discern a trace of its mystery. Hongjun Daozu used the supernatural power of the laws of space to forcibly transform the Zixiao Palace into a mustard seed space. No matter how many great supernatural beings came, the size of the space inside the palace would be the same, seemingly without end.

Upon seeing this, Zhen Yuanzi immediately thought of the Universe in His Sleeve, which seemed very similar to the Zixiao Palace before him. He couldn't help but become engrossed in it, and didn't even notice the arrival of the Eastern King Duke and the Western Queen Mother.

At this moment, two Taoist priests walked into the gate of Zixiao Palace. They looked very disheveled, obviously having suffered a lot in the chaos.

One of the Taoist priests was six zhang tall, with a yellowish complexion and a compassionate expression; he was the Western Guide. The other Taoist priest had his hair tied in two topknots, wore a Taoist robe, and had a pained expression; he was the Western Cundi.

Seeing that the palace was already filled with powerful cultivators, and there wasn't even a place to stand, Zhunti Daoist said to Jieyin with a distressed expression, "Senior brother, we two have come from the West, weary from our journey, seeking the Dao for all the lost souls. But the Zixiao Palace is already full, there's not even a place to rest. It seems we have no choice but to return to the West!"

The guide sighed and said, "We two are dedicated to seeking the Dao for the sake of all sentient beings in the West. Now that we have this opportunity, how can we turn back? Why don't we sit down at the entrance?"

As he spoke, the guide was about to sit cross-legged at the door.

Seeing this, Daoist Zhunti quickly pulled Daoist Jieyin back, saying, "Senior brother, you absolutely mustn't! If you sit cross-legged at the entrance, what will that say about Master Hongjun!"

Upon hearing this, the Guide Daoist sighed again and said, "Junior Brother is right. Indeed, we must not disrespect Master Hongjun."

"I will find a place to sit outside the palace so that we can listen to the teacher's sermon through the door." Before Zhunti could react, Jieyin turned and walked out of Zixiao Palace.

Their conversation was naturally overheard by the powerful beings in the palace, who all turned to look at Jieyin and Zhunti.

"Fellow Daoists, please wait a moment." Seeing that Jieyin and Zhunti were walking towards the outside of Zixiao Palace, Hongyun stood up and called out, "Fellow Daoists, you must be tired from your journey. Why don't you rest for a while on my seat?"

Upon hearing this, the Guide Daoist turned around, cupped his hands in a respectful bow to Hongyun, and said gratefully, "Fellow Daoist, you mustn't do this. Since we two arrived a step late, how can we sit in your seats?"

"Besides, you can rest just as well by sitting down outside the palace." After saying this, the guide continued walking towards the outside of the palace.

"Senior brother, how can we refuse this fellow Daoist's kindness!" Daoist Zhunti grabbed Daoist Jieyin's arm, then bowed deeply to Hongyun in gratitude, saying, "We two Daoists thank you very much, fellow Daoist!"

As they were talking, Zhunti Daoist pulled Jieyin Daoist to Hongyun's side, and Hongyun stood up with a smile, about to offer his seat to Jieyin and Zhunti.

Seeing this, Zhen Yuanzi couldn't help but say, "I too have come from the primordial wilderness, and I am weary from the journey. How about I rest for a while?"

Upon hearing this, not only were Jieyin and Zhunti stunned, but even Hongyun was taken aback.

"Since this fellow Daoist has also come from afar, why not let him rest for a while?" The guide was about to turn around and walk towards the door again.

"Fellow Daoist, please don't tease me!" Hongyun glanced at Zhen Yuanzi, thinking he was joking, so he stood up and pulled the Guide Daoist back, saying, "You two are exhausted from your journey, why don't you rest here for a while?"

Seeing that Hongyun was determined to do so, Zhen Yuanzi shook his head helplessly and simply stopped trying to stop her.

"Fellow Daoist, you have shown me great kindness. Please accept my bow!" The Guide Daoist did not sit down but bowed to Hongyun again, his words full of sincerity.

"Fellow Daoist, there's no need for that." Hongyun quickly helped the guide up and said, "It's just a seat, Fellow Daoist, please sit down. I'll go sit with Fellow Daoist Zhenyuanzi for a while."

As she spoke, Hongyun walked over and sat down next to Zhen Yuanzi, seemingly quite pleased with herself.

"Junior brother, please sit here. I will go outside the palace to take a seat first." The guide said, and was about to step out of the palace again.

"Senior brother, you mustn't do this!" Daoist Zhunti said urgently, "If senior brother doesn't sit, how can Zhunti sit down?"

Before the Guide could speak, the Zhunti Daoist walked directly in front of the Kunpeng and coldly shouted, "How dare this lowly beast sit in the Zixiao Palace!"

As the words were spoken, a flash of light appeared in the hand of the Daoist Zhunti, who took out his companion spiritual treasure, the Seven Treasures Tree, and swung it fiercely at the Kunpeng.

Kunpeng never expected that Daoist Zhunti would dare to ambush him inside Zixiao Palace. Completely unprepared, he was knocked to the ground by the Seven Treasures Tree and fell onto the futon.

The next moment, Daoist Zhunti sat down on the futon, closed his eyes, and drifted off into the distance, as if nothing had happened.

The Guide Daoist sighed softly, sat down in his seat, and like the Zhunti Daoist, closed his eyes and let his mind wander to the heavens.

In an instant, Kunpeng felt as if his internal organs were burning, his face turned ashen with rage, and a faint killing intent surged from his body. He stared intently at Jieyin, Zhunti, and Hongyun, his eyes revealing a venomous look.

"You have gone too far in bullying me! This humble Taoist priest will not let this go!"

Kunpeng roared angrily, turned around and walked to a corner to sit down, his face ashen.

Not far away, Di Jun and Tai Yi couldn't help but smile, even showing a hint of schadenfreude, as if they couldn't wait for Kunpeng to lose his seat.

However, what just happened left Hongyun completely bewildered and at a loss.

Those Daoist Jieyin and Daoist Zhunti are clearly virtuous people, so why did they do such things?

"Kunpeng lost his seat and lost face in front of all the great supernatural beings because of you, Fellow Daoist. This has created karma between us." Zhen Yuanzi said with a hint of helplessness, "Fellow Daoist, please be careful of Kunpeng in the future."

Hongyun nodded blankly.

Seeing this, Zhen Yuanzi could only shake his head, unsure of what to say.

Whether one is a highly powerful being or an ordinary cultivator, the greatest fear is being tainted by karma and cause and effect.

But Hongyun is different. Although he didn't get involved in any karma, he still accumulated a lot of karma. Especially this time, if he hadn't given up his seat first, how could Kunpeng have lost his holy position!

Such cause and effect, how will Hongyun ever repay it in the future!

When Hongjun Daozu preached for the third time, it was fine if Hongyun did not obtain the Primordial Purple Qi, but once he did obtain it, Kunpeng would definitely not let it go!

With things having come to this point, Zhen Yuanzi had no choice but to close his eyes and continue to comprehend the laws of space. However, he couldn't calm down when he thought of the red clouds and the Primordial Purple Qi.

"If I have the chance, I must ask Dao Ancestor Hongjun whether it is possible to become a saint without the Primordial Purple Qi," Zhen Yuanzi thought to himself.

As for how many saints there are in the primordial world!

Zhen Yuanzi had long guessed about this, and it was nothing more than one representing the beginning, three representing life, five representing completeness, seven representing prosperity, and nine representing the extreme.

There can only be a maximum of nine saints in the primordial world.

Seeing that the palace had reached its full capacity of three thousand innate gods and demons, the two attendants, Haotian and Yaochi, closed the palace gates, stepped to the cloud bed, and softly called out, "Our teacher has arrived; you must not make a sound!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Dao Ancestor Hongjun appeared silently on the cloud bed without making the slightest ripple, as if Dao Ancestor Hongjun had always been on the cloud bed.

Even with Zhen Yuanzi's cultivation and supernatural powers, he couldn't see how Hongjun Daozu appeared. He was extremely shocked. This was a Hunyuan Daluo Jinxian!

"Greetings, Master! We wish you a long and prosperous life!" The three thousand innate gods and demons in the hall all stood up and bowed.

Hongjun Daozu, dressed in a purple Daoist robe, sat expressionlessly on the cloud bed. His gaze seemed to sweep over the Three Pure Ones, Nuwa, Jieyin, and Zhunti, then lingered briefly on Hongyun and Zhenyuanzi before he spoke: "You shall all rise. From now on, you shall sit as you did today, without any changes."

"We will obey the Master's decree!" The three thousand innate gods and demons bowed again before sitting down.

At this moment, everyone knew that the six seats in the palace held a great secret, and that Hongyun and Kunpeng had missed their chance.

Hongyun simply lowered her head and remained silent in response.

In contrast, Kunpeng's face was frighteningly ugly, his gaze frequently falling on Jieyin, Zhunti, and Hongyun, his fists clenched tightly, wishing he could kill the three of them on the spot to vent his hatred.

"This matter is definitely not over!" Kunpeng roared in his heart.

Then, regardless of the expressions on everyone's faces, Hongjun Daozu began to preach.

"The upper qi is called the beginning, the middle qi is called the origin, and the lower qi is called the mystery. The mystery qi is born from emptiness, the origin qi is born from the void, and the beginning qi is born from nothingness. Therefore, it can give birth to two, two give birth to three, and three give birth to all things. All things carry yin and embrace yang, which is the Taiji."

"The three give rise to the Nine Mysteries, and from the Nine returns to the One, which is the true Dao. The pure Yang becomes Heaven, the impurities condense to become Earth, and the middle forms Man. When the three are separated, all things are born, the sun and moon shine in their array, and the five elements are named, which is the sage. The three are born from the origin of the three Qi, at the beginning of the primordial Qi, reaching the limitless, the primordial chaos of the limitless."

"The Great Way is boundless, it can be followed to the left or right. All things depend on it for life without it refusing, it accomplishes its work without possessing it. It clothes and nourishes all things without being their master, and can be called small; all things return to it without it being their master, and can be called great. Because it never considers itself great, it is able to achieve its greatness."

………………

When a sage preaches the Way, it is naturally extraordinary.

Golden flowers fell from the sky and golden lotuses sprang from the ground in the Zixiao Palace, with all sorts of strange phenomena appearing one after another.

Upon hearing this, the three thousand innate gods and demons either showed wild joy or sorrow, and some even stood up excitedly, roaring to the sky.

Those who could not control themselves were all expelled from Zixiao Palace by Hongjun Daozu with a wave of his sleeve, thus missing their chance.

At first, the Dao Ancestor Hongjun did not speak in a profound way, but rather about the cultivation path of living beings and the Dao of Taiyi. However, Zhen Yuanzi and the Three Pure Ones listened very attentively.

The teachings of Hongjun Daozu are not only profound and insightful, but also all-encompassing. Even if they are not useful to oneself, they can still be used as a reference.

Then, Hongjun Daozu began to talk about the myriad things in the universe, the natural world, and the Great Luo Dao.

It encompasses everything, including not only the method of condensing the three flowers of the primordial spirit, but also the primordial spirit Dharma form of the demon race, as well as the innate Yin and Yang and the Five Elements, from the beginning of creation to the Wu and Yao races, and various methods and things.

The audience of innate gods and demons were completely captivated by what they heard.

The golden lotuses emerging from the Purple Cloud Palace would occasionally transform into bursts of rich innate spiritual energy, which would be absorbed into the bodies of the innate gods and demons and transformed into magical power.

Zhen Yuanzi seemed to be deep in thought. It seemed that this time, Dao Ancestor Hongjun would not talk about how to sever the three corpses of the primordial spirit and the quasi-saint path, but would only talk about the realm of Great Luo Golden Immortal from the Qi Refining stage.

However, at this moment, Hongjun Daozu changed his words and began to talk about the Dao of Laws. Every three or four sentences, he would say something that seemed plausible but was actually cryptic and difficult to understand.

All the innate gods and demons immediately showed pain on their faces, sweat pouring down their faces. Even the Three Pure Ones, Nuwa, Jieyin, Zhunti and others were somewhat confused.

Zhen Yuanzi was both surprised and delighted. The laws spoken by Dao Ancestor Hongjun not only included the innate Yin-Yang and Five Elements Great Dao, but also the laws of space and the laws of chaos.

Although the laws and principles spoken by Hongjun Daozu were mostly just a few words, they were invaluable treasures to Zhen Yuanzi.

While listening to Hongjun Daozu explain the laws of the universe, Zhen Yuanzi compared them with the innate Yin-Yang and Five Elements laws and the spatial laws he had comprehended. Combining this with the mustard seed space contained within the Zixiao Palace, he gradually deduced a spatial divine power called: Universe in the Sleeve, which can contain all things in the Yin and Yang of heaven and earth.

Three thousand years passed in the blink of an eye. Suddenly, Dao Ancestor Hongjun fell silent, causing all the innate gods and demons to feel extremely uncomfortable. They couldn't help but look at Dao Ancestor Hongjun.

Hongjun Daozu glanced expressionlessly at the group of innate gods and demons, and said indifferently, "This lecture ends here. You will be notified to attend the next lecture."

After saying that, Dao Ancestor Hongjun disappeared without a sound.
