Chapter 111 Abyss Lord (Part Two)

"I am the ruler of the Elven Royal Court, the officiant of the World's Fall Ritual, the traitor to the Elven Mother Tree. Darkness will eventually shroud the world, and I will be the only one to do so!"

Amidst the grand prayer, the figure within the black pillar of light grew increasingly powerful. At the center of the pillar, though its exact form was obscured by distance, its majestic voice resonated throughout the entire world.

Many plants were visibly withering. With the rolling abyssal aura, many plants began to mutate. Most plants could not withstand the erosion and withered directly, but a few plants began to mutate stubbornly.

Not only plants, but also some animals, were ravaged by the abyss's aura, rolling on the ground.

"The abyss has begun to erode it," the Fly Demon declared fanatically.

"Those who lead such rituals, which sacrifice the world to fall into the abyss, can obtain power bestowed by the abyss, and even have a great chance of becoming a lord of the abyss." The tentacles on the fly demon's head swayed, revealing its current unsettled state of mind.

Lynn also gazed into the distance, her heart filled with unease.

Abyss Lords are powerful beings in the abyss. They are comparable to demigods in rank. Some extremely ancient and powerful Abyss Lords, although still called Abyss Lords, have actually transcended this category due to the power they have accumulated over countless years. In fact, in terms of the accumulation of pure power, they have even touched the realm of gods. Such beings are called Abyss Grand Lords.

Although the Abyss Lords are only demigods, becoming a lord often signifies that they possess a special status.

This unique status allows them to dominate their own territories, even rendering gods helpless against them – this is the terrifying aspect of the Abyss Lords. It is also the reason why they can repeatedly invade other planes without being crushed by powerful beings from those planes.

Demons are consumables; once they're all dead, you can just recruit more. The Abyss may not have much else, but it has plenty of demons.

As long as the Abyss Lord exists, there will be an endless stream of demons.

According to some wizarding research, it has been proven that the Abyss Lord is a special rank that can only exist in the Abyss.

Those who possess the rank of Abyss Lord can become influential figures among demons if they grow up smoothly.

However, if a demon wants to compete for the position of Abyss Lord, it must go through one bloody battle after another, and finally defeat the Abyss Lord in a fair and square challenge as a non-lord in order to win this position.

Therefore, every time a lord changes in the Abyss, it means that the new Abyss Lord who ascends the throne will be an even more terrifying being than the previous lord.

However, this kind of abyss-granted status is not without its drawbacks. While the abyss lord status obtained through abyss-granting methods grants them great power, it also makes it extremely difficult for them to continue to break through on that foundation.

Conversely, if the rank is obtained by defeating the Abyss Lord through a challenge, this drawback will not apply.

"This world is about to merge into the abyss," Lynn said to the Fly Demon.

"It's almost over; we don't have time to continue the search," the Fly Demon sighed.

Once I've merged into the abyss, I'll find a way back. After processing the original ore, I'll keep a portion for further experiments and sell the rest as funds.

After returning, I will go into seclusion for a while. I have already collected the main materials for building the Wizard Tower, so there is no need to be so anxious about collecting materials. I have plenty of time to take my time.

Lynn never forgot that the pursuit of truth was his fundamental purpose, and the Wizard Tower was merely a bridge that made it easier for him to explore the truth.

The Fly Demon storyline can be kept going. Judging from our contact, this Fly Demon seems to have invaded other dimensions more than once, and appears to be quite experienced.

We might be able to collaborate in the future.

Just when Lynn and the Fly Demon thought it was all over.

Suddenly, a strange change occurred.

A blood-red pillar of light suddenly rose from the southwest.

The sky was dyed crimson as a chain hammer and battle axe cleaved through the night, the giant axe, wreathed in surging blood energy, burst forth with unprecedented brilliance in that instant.

A single axe cleaved fiercely into the sky.

The dark clouds shattered, and the world seemed to wail. In that instant, endless deathly energy and killing intent split in two with the black pillar of light at the center of the world.

The shattered dark clouds transformed into a torrential downpour of blood.

The plants washed by the blood rain withered at a visible rate, and the earth was stained with a faint red.

Lynn seemed to know how the red soil he saw when he first arrived at the Abyss came to be.

"Hmm? That direction... that's the woman." A hint of horror appeared in the Fly Demon's eyes.

"It seems that the world's will was prematurely extinguished by that woman. She brought forward this process! How is that possible? The world sacrifice ritual could actually be robbed of its final blow by an external force, and the ritual's mastermind is still alive," the Fly Demon exclaimed in surprise.

Dear O!!!

That furious roar transcended the distance of space, echoing throughout the entire plane from the distant central region.

It seems to have come from a distant past.

Hahaha~

Another loud and domineering laugh echoed continuously.

Lynn recognized the owner of the voice.

The entire world trembled, and endless black light fell from beyond the plane and split in two, with one half flying towards the central region.

However, half of them did not enter the position where Dai E was located.

When the black light faded, two illusory yet enormous figures appeared, staring at each other defiantly from the left and right.

In the center area was an elven woman with long blue-green hair, but her skin was turning from fair to dark at a visible speed. At the same time, red magic patterns appeared on her bare arms, and her somewhat holy face became bewitching and evil. Her long hair at the back of her head automatically formed a bun without wind, and a staff surrounded by black magic light floated around her.

"I am Lan'er, the Fallen Queen of the Abyss, the Lord of the Abyss!"

"Dai'e, I'll remember this grudge."

On the other side was Da'e, whom Lynn knew well. With a long howl, Da'e's body was surrounded by black and red halos. Her shoulders were outstretched, and her arms were outstretched to embrace the heavens and the earth. Her long green hair was dyed blood red from the ends to the roots. A suit of crimson armor burning with flames appeared. At the same time, a chain was wrapped around her right arm, and at the end of the chain was a ferocious battle axe.

"I am De'O, the Bloodthirsty Queen of the Abyss!"

"The hatred never ends, Lan Er. Your head will become my spoils of war sooner or later."

Dai E responded defiantly.

The two illusory figures only lasted for a moment before disappearing.

The outer membrane that had been protecting the plane shattered like fireworks, the sky reversed, stars shifted and constellations changed, and the sky of the abyss gradually occupied the entire overhead.

The aura unique to the abyss began to bloom across this land.

"That woman actually managed to seize half of the position." The shock in the Fly Demon's eyes had not yet faded.

Its eyes darted around; it had at least met this Blood Queen of Elves once before, and perhaps it could join her ranks.
