Elf-like Life

Chapter 37, Marylou and her siblings

No,

If you're going to take an opinion, then take an opinion. Why insist that I'm a human being seeking redemption?

Seeing that the little fire dragon suddenly got angry, the purple cloaked dragon shopkeeper had no choice but to quickly reveal his prized possession:

"I'm really sorry about that. Actually, I'm not interested in that Nine-Tailed Fox legend."

"I just wanted to know what humans think. Come take a look at my merchandise!"

The first item is the Skill Learning Machine 09.

It's a dark green skill disc that allows Grass-type Pokémon to learn the corresponding move on the disc, specifically Seed Gun.

A seed machine gun?

Charmander's first thought was of the cool and stylish moves of the Lizard King in the cartoon, where he spews out several seeds from his mouth to attack his opponent with the force of a machine gun.

However, the seed machine gun is very weak, with a power level of only 25.

Charmander is thinking: Hmm, this type of skill disc probably isn't worth much.

"Excuse my frankness, but I don't think the price should be too high."

Upon hearing this, the owner of the purple-colored cloaked dragon was immediately enraged and said without any politeness:

"What? You actually said this skill disc isn't worth anything?"

It turns out that the skill disc that the owner of the Hidden Dragon shop bought today should sell for at least 8900 gold coins, and that's without raising the price.

Hey, why is it so expensive?

Pikachu grinned sheepishly and raised its little paw to signal Charmander:

"Hey, little fire dragon."

"You don't know this yet, but skills like the Seed Machine Gun are really powerful. They're considered god-tier skills in combo attacks."

Pikachu's Encyclopedia Entry:

The Seed Machine Gun is a continuous skill, meaning it can continuously spit out seeds from its mouth to attack, and can maintain an output of 2-5 times.

If the user's training is done properly, then it's equivalent to having 2-5 opportunities to severely injure the enemy.

Charmander suddenly realized that human knowledge was no longer useful in this world.

When it comes to Pokémon games, high-powered moves like Thunder, Flamethrower, and Hydro Pump are essential for completing the game.

As for the even more powerful Hyper Beam, there's that too. When will the Seed Machine Gun get its turn?

Now, the seed machine gun has become a divine skill.

The purple cloaked dragon owner was a bit disappointed with humans. He had originally planned to have the little fire dragon appraise several items, but now he simply showed only the second treasure.

A crystal-clear jade, light blue in color, with a string of jade names engraved on it.

Baoyu - Jade in the Rain

This was the first time Little Fire Dragon had ever seen this kind of jade. It was beautiful enough in appearance, but its purpose was still unclear.

In fact, these jade stones contain powerful energy and are intended for single use only.

Just like this precious jade, if used during an expedition, it can change the weather, turning bad weather into rain.

"What?! This jade can change the weather? Isn't that a divine artifact?!"

Imagine you suddenly encounter a sandstorm or hailstorm on your journey. With this jade, you can make it rain from mid-air and reverse the situation.

For example, there are various weather tactics, such as rain teams, etc.

It can change the weather, playing a crucial role in battles between Pokémon. Wouldn't such an item be worth an astronomical price?

"The last skill disc cost 8900, so if you ask me, this Rain Jade should be sold for at least 15000 gold coins, boss."

Upon hearing this, the owner of the Purple-Clad Invisible Dragon was overjoyed.

"Humans are still humans after all, I think so too!"

"Great, this price is exactly what I wanted!!"

Time flew by, and the green clown dragon had already packed up 10 perfect apples. Pikachu checked them again, just in case there were any bad apples among them.

"Don't worry, we are all honest businessmen."

"Your buck-toothed raccoon used to come and buy things every day, so he knew our goods were the freshest. There's no need to look anymore."

As soon as the two bosses finished speaking, they noticed that a second group of customers had arrived behind the two young men, so they immediately prepared to serve them at the counter.

The second group of guests was a brother and sister.

My brother is Marylou, a round blue water rat with two small round ears that are dark pink. The black part of her tail is curved and ends in a light blue ball.

The other little one holding hands is Lulili, a smaller juvenile water rat than her brother, whose tail is almost half the size of her body.

It's so cute to hop around like that.

Because Charmander and Pikachu were taller than Marill and his sister, Marill and his sister had to jump to peek out.

"Lulli, the two older brothers in front of us are buying something, let's wait a bit."

【!!】The two little ones turned around at the same time!!

"Come on, call him Pikachu brother, Charmander brother~"

Luli was exceptionally well-behaved, a blush rising on her cheeks, as she politely greeted everyone:

"Hello, Pikachu brother~"

"Hello, Little Fire Dragon Brother~"

Hey hey hey hey hey!

When the two cloaked dragon bosses saw that it was Mary Lou and her brother, their hearts were instantly melted by the two adorable little creatures, and even their tone of voice changed.

"Good morning, you two little ones. What would you like to buy at our Transformed Dragon Shop today?"

Seeing this, Marilou first bowed politely to the two bosses, then immediately pulled Lulili along and said:

"Uncle Long is saying hello to us, hurry up and say hello, Lulili."

"Hello, Uncle Keroberos! My brother and I would like to buy some apples~"

Lulili's voice was so adorable that the little elves' hearts almost melted at the sound of the child's call.

Moreover, the brother and sister have a particularly sweet tongue.

Charmander and Pikachu both refer to Kecleon as their boss, while the others simply call Kecleon "Uncle," or "Uncle Dragon" for short.

Although Marylou came to buy apples, the two little ones had been worried because their mother, Marylouli, had recently fallen ill.

As the older brother in the family, I have to take my younger sister out to buy groceries.

I want to go back and use apples with medicinal herbs to make a bowl of not-too-bitter herbal soup for my mother, hoping that she can recover from her illness soon.

Mary Lou politely handed over 25 gold coins and said to Uncle Long:

"Uncle Kecleon Dragon, please give me an apple."

In the blink of an eye, the owners of the Hidden Dragons acted swiftly, producing four apples and stuffing them all into the hands of Mary Lou and her brother.

Two apples,

Three,

Four!!

As Luli counted cutely, she increasingly felt that something was amiss:

"Hey, Uncle Keira Dragon~"

"Brother only bought one apple, but you gave us four. It seems you miscalculated. We can't accept these three apples."

The owners of the stealth dragons immediately smiled:

"No, no."

"Take all four apples, consider them a gift from today's event. Use them to make more medicine for your mother when you get home."

Upon hearing this, the Marilyn siblings immediately became excited:

"Wow, thank you both, uncles!"

Charmander suddenly felt that the two Kecleon bosses were very kind-hearted. After all, in the human world, there aren't many business owners like them who are so kind-hearted and willing to give away goods.

However, Marylou and her brother didn't seem very happy.

"What's wrong with you two little ones?"

Faced with Uncle Mutant Dragon's kind question, the two little ones remained silent at first, until their older brother, Marilyn, slowly spoke:

"Uncles, we have been searching for a floating board to cure my mother's illness."

"Excuse me, do you sell water floats here?"

Just a quick note: I was playing a D-brand Chinese version, and that's how Marilyn was translated. Of course, the official website and other sources use many other names like "Marilu," so please don't mind the differences. Anyway, it's those two little water mouse sprites. Finally, a huge thank you to all the readers! I'm also asking for your votes, tips, favorites, and investments. That's all for this chapter!
