The Holy Path of the Primordial World Shines Brightly

Chapter 34: Turning the Enemy to a Surrender! Integrity!

Chapter 34: Turning the Enemy to a Surrender! Integrity!

Nuwa, the Great Sage, is perfect and flawless.

A supreme being renowned throughout the primordial world, a supreme deity whose fame and title have spread throughout the past, present, and future, across all heavens and spaces.

The most obvious change is that when the words "Nuwa" were uttered by the ancestral witch Dijiang, all the little witch soldiers in the procession stood in solemn respect, looking at the deity standing on the phoenix with the most reverent gaze.

They were all once human, so how could they not respect and revere the creator of humanity?

No one would harbor blasphemous thoughts that they shouldn't have.

The same applies to Feng Xi.

Even now, though he has donned the guise of the witch clan, he still cannot forget his original aspirations and cannot deny his past.

He, along with hundreds of thousands of lesser witches, looked at the Great Sage Nuwa with reverence.

But soon, a small accident occurred—a burning gaze was fixed on him, distracting Feng Xi.

Feng Xi sensed and pinpointed the source—it was the golden phoenix carrying the Great Sage Nuwa on its back.

It blinked incessantly, its eyes brimming with immense curiosity. It glanced at Feng Xi, then at the true dragon he was controlling, and tilted its head.

The doubt in the phoenix's eyes was almost tangible—with such weak cultivation, unable to even pull a single toe of a true dragon, why was it qualified to be a charioteer?

This expressive gaze, tinged with curiosity and doubt, was like needles pricking Feng Xi's heart, making him feel extremely uncomfortable.

"My skills are a bit lacking... but so what?"

"It's not like I won't become stronger in the future, so why are you looking at me like I'm a weakling?"

Feng Xi's lips twitched, and she glared at him discreetly—

"What are you looking at?"

Phoenix received the message in his eyes, and its eyes widened instantly, making the whole phoenix more lively—if it weren't for its duties, it would probably have come over to talk to Feng Xi about 'reason'.

Even so, she did not give up, her phoenix eyes shining brightly as she glared back at Feng Xi.

What are you looking at?!

The witch and the phoenix stared wide-eyed, each trying to break the other's spirit with their gaze and cause him to collapse without a fight.

In contrast to the covert power struggles between their respective confidants, the relationship between Dijiang Zuwu and Nuwa Dasheng was much more relaxed.

Even though one of them was one of the leaders of the Witch Clan and the other was the supreme emperor of the Demon Clan.

However, as long as they don't clash on the battlefield, they won't be at each other's throats at other times.

Moreover, Dijiang even offered a small compliment.

Nuwa, the Great Sage, accepted all the praise from the Ancestral Witch without a trace of humility. After all, Dijiang's words resonated with her—she thought so too!

If we are simply being realistic, why pretend to be modest?

"Fellow Daoist Dijiang, you're not bad either," the Great Sage Nuwa replied with a cheerful smile. "How many years has the world been in existence? And yet it has come to this."

"The Wu Clan truly lives up to their reputation as the legitimate descendants of the Great God Pangu!"

The two powerful figures are currently engaging in mutual flattery.

Although there was no explicit comparison, as the hype grew, one was said to be able to punch the Heavenly Dao and kick Hongjun; the other was said to be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with Pangu and discuss the Dao and fight against each other.

"Ahem!"

A soft cough interrupted their conversation.

It is Houtu.

The ancestral witch could no longer bear it and had to speak up to remind or even stop it.

"Sigh." Nuwa, the Great Sage, changed the subject, seemingly unsatisfied. "Emperor Jiang and Houtu, what is the purpose of your trip?"

"Could we talk about it briefly? Perhaps I can offer some assistance." Observing the slightly strange expression on Dijiang Zuwu's face, she said considerately, "Of course, if it involves confidential information, just pretend I didn't ask anything."

"Haha!" Dijiang laughed heartily, "We Ancestral Witches act with integrity and openness. What is there that we cannot mention to outsiders?"

"Since Fellow Daoist Nuwa is so curious, I may tell you," Dijiang said solemnly. "In fact, our primary purpose for this trip... is precisely to meet you and your brother!"

"That's why I'm hesitant to speak frankly when you mention our purpose, fellow Daoist."

"I never expected that it would be such a coincidence that we would meet on the road."

"Oh?" Nuwa's tone instantly turned serious, no longer as casual and relaxed as before. "You've come to find us? What for?"

"Of course, it's to forge an alliance, help each other, and cooperate," Dijiang said.

"Dijiang, although we are having a pleasant conversation, it cannot change the fact that we, the Witch and the Demon, are enemies," Nuwa said in a deep voice. "You are the Ancestral Witch, and I am the Demon Emperor... One day, we will meet on the battlefield, fighting a bloody battle to the death!"

"So what?" Emperor Jiang, the Ancestral Witch, laughed. He was not worried or depressed because of Nuwa's words. "Indeed, Fellow Daoist Nuwa holds the position of an emperor in the demon race and is revered as Empress Nuwa."

"But so what?" Di Jiang said with a smile. "Nuwa is Nuwa, and the Empress is the Empress... Can the Empress represent the entirety of Fellow Daoist Nuwa's life?"

"You are a naturally born deity, not one of those spirits or monsters that are created through the reproduction of acquired essence."

"The two are not of the same kind... Why would you, fellow Daoist, bind yourself to a position and devote yourself wholeheartedly to the demon race, risking your life and fighting to the death for it?"

"If that's the case, forgive me for speaking rather presumptuously," Di Jiang said with a smirk, "but is it you, Fellow Daoist Nuwa, who, as the ruler and master of the demon race, commands them to fight for you; or is it the demon race that is your master, driving you to fight to the death for them?"

"The roles of master and servant have been reversed; the master is no longer the master, and the servant is no longer the servant... This is a misfortune, not a blessing!" he said meaningfully.

Dijiang, the ancestral witch, was quite eloquent and skilled in rhetoric; at this moment, he was actually trying to persuade Nuwa to defect.

His words made Nuwa ponder deeply. On one hand, they seemed very reasonable, but on the other hand, something felt off.

After a long silence, she suddenly realized—

Why did she join the demon race's camp?

It's because someone else gave them money!

Emperor Jun and Taiyi from the Sun Star once took the initiative to visit Phoenix Perch Mountain.

Offering exorbitant salaries, they sincerely invite Fuxi and Nuwa, two supreme innate deities, to join the demon race's entrepreneurial endeavors.

The treaty has only just been signed, and the deposit has barely been received, yet Dijiang Zuwu is already trying to steal the deal...

How could she, Nuwa, a goddess with the most honest and beautiful character, be so easily turned and betrayed, breaking the contract she signed with the demon race?

Is she the kind of greedy, untrustworthy god?!

Even if we don't expect unwavering loyalty, surely we shouldn't be as fickle as flowing water?

Thinking of this, Nuwa instantly hardened her stance, straightened her attitude, and her face darkened with anger and dissatisfaction. "Fellow Daoist Dijiang, are you questioning my honesty and integrity?"
