Chapter 24 My greatest strength is [Money Power]

Chapter 24 My greatest strength is [Money Power]

However, the sudden appearance of Spider-Woman Gwen does not mean that things will progress quickly; on the contrary, there is more uncertainty.

If history were to unfold exactly as it is, Peter the Spider would find his father's legacy, the priceless formula, which would propel Dr. Connors' cross-species genetic research and ultimately lead to the birth of Dr. Lizard.

In Gwen's version, Peter, due to being bullied and subjected to various unfair treatments by Eugene Flash Thompson, injects himself with a homemade serum under extreme repression, becoming a lizard man, and eventually dies.

In this life, Ang stopped the bullying because he didn't want to see Peter die.

"So, what happens next?"

Ang was looking forward to the changes in the 'plot'. As a little butterfly that reversed history, Ang was not idle while waiting for the wheels of history to turn. For example, he summoned Eugene Thompson.

In a private room at a high-end members-only club, Ang met Thompson and his son.

"Don't be so nervous, Mr. Thompson. I mean you no harm; I just want to be friends."

In this life, the old Thompson is a retired football player, and his son clearly inherited his genes, now a school football star.

Old Thompson, being a man of the world, could tell from Ang's imposing manner that the other party was a big shot who could crush him and his son like an ant.

"Making friends? Eugene is the one who's out of line."

"No, no, no!" Ang casually shook his right index finger. "Mr. Thompson, if that's the case, then only Tony Stark is qualified to be my friend. I never make friends based on whether they're rich or not; they're definitely not richer than me anyway."

The extravagant bodyguard lineup, the beautiful female secretary, the understated yet luxurious attire, and the powerful aura that ordinary people would never possess made Eugene feel suffocated.

"Mr. Ang, I went too far today, please forgive me." Eugene bowed his head heavily.

A cold glint flashed in Ang's eyes: "The person you need to apologize to is not me, but Gordon and Parker."

Having probably been reprimanded by his father long ago, Eugene readily agreed: "Yes, I'll apologize to them tomorrow."

Before old Thompson could speak, Ang waved his hand: "Those who haven't entered society are just kids. I don't argue with kids."

With that said, old Thompson naturally couldn't continue.

"I invest in the biotechnology field, and I'm actually quite interested in Eugene's genes. If possible, we could collaborate in the future." After saying this, Black Canary handed a business plan to the Thompson father and son.

To put it bluntly, this thing is just a way to fool the Thompsons, and the plan it talks about is somewhat similar to the plan carried out by Dr. Connors of the Osborn Group.

Ang certainly didn't expect the Thompsons to believe him.

Historically, Eugene was supposed to lose his legs in a Middle East war. He underwent an experiment by the US government, which successfully fused him with the Venom symbiote, making him a superhero agent and the US government's official henchman.

Ang doesn't intend to leave such a useful tool to the government.

All his trickery lies in the "limb regeneration experiment" section of the project proposal.

Now that Eugene can run and jump, it's the most limitless moment of his life, and he feels like there's nothing in the world he can't do.

Ang will not deliberately target Eugene.

When this thing really does run into trouble like in history, that's when Ang will be able to snatch it away.

Sure enough, the proposal made old Thompson frown; it seemed completely out of step with his son's athletic future. Moreover, the other party wanted to obtain Eugene's genes, which would require multiple blood draws and experiments. This displeased old Thompson.

He simply didn't dare to lash out and politely declined Ang's offer.

Ang wasn't annoyed: "Eugene, I know you're not convinced. It's just that many things aren't as you imagine. How about we arm wrestle?"

Arm wrestling? That's something I'm good at.

Eugene was the kind of person with a fiery temper that would ignite at the slightest provocation. He dared not lash out because of the other party's power, but when it came to strength, he was confident that he was second to none.

"With whom?" Eugene asked, and even his father couldn't stop him.

Ang rolled up his sleeves and placed them on the table: "Me!"

In that instant, a clear look of contempt appeared in Eugene's eyes.

Ang's arm muscles looked fairly well-proportioned, but that was only to the level of a "relatively strong" ordinary person.

Eugene, as an athletic champion, was an absolute muscle monster.

His father watched helplessly as his son placed his exaggeratedly muscular arms on the table, thinking to himself: Oh no!

His son's arm was thicker than the secretary's thigh!

Ang, the guy on the other side, is a major client! If this hothead accidentally tears a muscle in his arm, it'll be a fatal mistake!

His father twitched his lips a few times, but couldn't bring himself to say anything to stop him.

The other person challenged him to a duel, and my son accepted.

Ultimately, these two are still the same age.

What can the father, Thompson, say?

In fact, it wasn't just Thompson and his son who were curious; Ang's bodyguards also secretly craned their necks.

Arm wrestling is the least demanding activity in terms of location; as long as the table is decent, it's fine.

When the two strong hands clasped together, and as Diana crisply counted down "three, two, one," the confident Eugene launched the first attack.

Ang was genuinely surprised to feel an immense force emanating from the large, bear-paw-like hand opposite him.

The system rating is a whopping 17 points in strength!

This is absolutely top-notch for an ordinary person.

Let's get this straight, Eugene is a football player, not a professional weightlifter. Eugene's brain isn't cut out for a quarterback who's a team's playmaker. Tight ends like Eugene actually need to focus more on leg strength training than arm strength.

However, in Eugene's view, he was more than capable of easily defeating the "weak" rich young master opposite him.

In fact, his initial premonition was correct. As soon as he exerted his strength, that seemingly overwhelming force pressed the other person's arm down little by little.

The strange thing is, when he pressed the other person's arm down to a maximum angle of 30 degrees between the arm and the table, he couldn't press it down any further.

"Drink!"

"Ho—"

"Waaah—uh—"

Eugene's exaggerated roar echoed throughout the private room. His neck, shoulders, and arms were bulging with veins, the blood vessels swelling like tiny earthworms.

If you don't look at the position of his arms, you would think that he is the one being suppressed.

But at this moment, he still had the upper hand.

Well, at least on the surface.

He bullied Gordon this morning, and now his and his dad's hearts are pounding like crazy.

He had already used every ounce of his strength, and even though Ang on the other side wasn't completely nonchalant, he still seemed to be handling the situation with ease!

"What's wrong, Mr. Thompson? Is this all the strength you're so proud of?" Ang's mockery ignited Eugene's anger.

"Damn it... Aaaaaah!" He flexed his muscles, desperately trying to exert pressure and complete the final suppression.

Unfortunately, all his anger was typical of impotent rage; no matter how much he escalated it, Ang's arm remained completely still.

"Mr. Thompson, since this is all the power you have, then I'm going to retaliate." The nonchalant voice brought Eugene not stimulation, but suppression!

His arrogance, his rage, his rebellion, everything he was most proud of, crumbled inch by inch under this slow but unparalleled force.

Eugene could clearly feel the increasing strength coming from Ang's arm, which was a third thinner than his own.

Their clasped arms, like a pendulum, began to swing back toward Eugene's hand.

Eugene was completely unable to resist this overwhelming force.

His exaggerated biceps looked like an inflatable balloon in the face of this force.

Without resorting to the explosive force intended to cause harm, Ang simply rolled over slowly at a rate of 5 degrees per second.

"Bang!"

Eugene gave up on the final thirty degrees, his hand being slammed heavily onto the table.

He was breathing heavily, and tears were even welling up in the corners of his eyes.

He simply couldn't understand how he had lost.

Clearly, this seemingly useless rich young master defeated him in the very way that Eugene *Lightning* Thompson excelled at.

Old Thompson was heartbroken to see his son lose, but also silently grateful that Angle hadn't intentionally injured him. A torn arm muscle could be fatal for a running back in football.

After losing, Eugene's eyes widened like saucers, and he asked, almost as if possessed, "So arm wrestling is your strongest skill?"

Ang laughed, waving his right index finger: "No! No! No! No! My strongest power right now should be [Money Power]!"
