Chapter 1 The Evil Cheat Code

In November, Gotham's East Side was blanketed in snow.

Located in the eastern part of Gotham City, the poorest and most dangerous area in the city, where various crimes such as drug trafficking and murder are constantly taking place in the dark corners.

In a relatively peaceful and stable neighborhood, on Wallier Street, a small bar is about to go out.

Emily tidied up the guests' empty glasses and the coffee table, her refined face showing signs of exhaustion.

"What's your decision regarding that matter?"

A burly man, nearly two meters tall and with broad shoulders and a thick waist, walked up to the petite Emily.

"Uncle Jodson, I will resolutely defend the only legacy my father left behind; there is no way I will sell this bar to them!"

"Okay... Misius has a nice daughter. Give me a call if you need anything. After all, Misius is my best brother!"

"Thank you, Uncle Jodson!"

boom!

As the bar's glass door shattered, countless stones were thrown in. Jordson's square face was filled with rage. He rushed forward and stood in front of Emily to prevent the shards of stone or glass from hurting his best friend's daughter!

"Ha ha!"

"Alas!"

Buzzing and rumbling~

Black motorcycles sped past, carrying young men with brightly colored hair. Their faces were beaming with smiles, their eyes filled with madness. Through the broken doors and windows, they looked at the two men and made exaggerated, grotesque faces.

Then he turned and left!

"These guys!" Jodson's face darkened, and he was about to make a call for help, but Emily behind him quickly stopped him.

"Uncle Jodson, it's just some broken glass. I can clean it up tonight!"

Looking at Emily's determined face, Jordson felt somewhat helpless.

"Emily..."

"Uncle, you should go back now. The nights on Wallier Street aren't safe!"

As the silver bells on the glass door jingled softly, Emily's eyes welled up with tears as she watched Uncle Jodson's forlorn figure disappear into the distance.

No matter how helpless she felt, she couldn't ask Uncle Jodson for help, as that could very well destroy the gang that Uncle Jodson had worked so hard to build.

dong dong!

The soft knocking made Emily, who was mopping up the broken glass on the floor, shudder and look timidly toward the bar's door.

A young man wearing a black trench coat, staggering, slowly walked through the gate, then fell to the ground!

Upon seeing the young man, a look of surprise flashed across Emily's delicate face. She then hurriedly ran over and gently helped the man who had fallen to the ground inside.

"Mr. Lin Jue?"

Emily looked at the Asian man in front of her, whose disheveled hair covered his eyes but still couldn't hide his handsome face.

"Miss Emily, may I stay here another night?"

Looking at the exquisitely beautiful girl in front of him, who resembled a porcelain doll, Lin Jue's tone was tinged with embarrassment and awkwardness.

Emily glanced at Lin Jue's messy footprints and the wound near his eye, but didn't reply. Instead, she turned around and quickly retrieved a leather coat and a small first-aid kit from the back of the bar, then came to Lin Jue's side.

First, he draped a heavy leather coat over Lin Jue's shoulders, then he took out some red medicine and applied it to the corner of his eye.

This is not the first time such behavior has occurred.

A kind girl...

Lin Jue stared blankly at the exquisite face so close to his, especially those deep blue eyes, which seemed to be the clearest and purest thing in this chaotic world.

"Alright, Mr. Lin Jue, I don't want to hear about the cause of your fight. What you need to do now is get some rest!"

Looking directly into Lin Jue's eyes, Emily put on a serious face and said...

"Thank you, Emily!"

"Mr. Lin Jue, I really think you need to find a job and have a stable life!"

Are you hiring?

Lin Jue looked at the girl in front of him with some hope.

"I...I'm sorry, I might have to close this tavern soon!"

Emily lowered her head, her lips twitching as she tried to maintain a smile, but Lin Jue, with his extremely sharp eyes, still caught a glint in the corner of her eye.

Scanning the bar, it was small but complete. Although the bar was very small, it had all kinds of facilities. In fact, compared to other bars, there were many safety notices posted here.

"No drugs!"

Be careful of any wine glass handed to you by a stranger!

……

It is precisely because of these rules, which are so different from other bars in the area, that this small bar has become unexpectedly popular and has received widespread praise from the surrounding neighborhood.

This is also the only bar that Lin Jue has stayed at since he transmigrated.

Noticing the broken glass shards around him and the windows letting in the cold wind, Lin Jue felt a pang of sympathy for the only kind-hearted person he had encountered in the three months since he came into this world.

"Are they motorcycle gang members?"

"Mr. Lin Jue, thank you for your kindness!"

Emily declined the offer of a man who was about her age.

She didn't know what Lin Jue's purpose was in visiting her bar for the past three months, but she knew he was a good person.

This stemmed from a drunk man causing trouble in a bar earlier, and Lin Jue, one of the bystanders, stepped forward without hesitation, instantly knocking the man to the ground with a spectacular combination of punches, preventing further damage to the bar.

In Gotham, a place rife with crime, this was simply unbelievable. Moreover, Lin Jue didn't even ask for any benefits. This matter warmed Emily's heart. Later, through her deliberate inquiries, she learned that Lin Jue had been helping the oppressed and solving their problems. Although he would accept payment, she still found him incredibly admirable!

Now she hopes that Lin Jue can find a normal job and live a stable life.

However, Lin Jue didn't think so. In fact, he had already completed his mission of punishing evil for the day, teaching a homeless man who tried to molest a female student a lesson. On his way to Emily's bar, he happened to encounter a motorcycle gang throwing stones at Emily's bar.

His injuries were from his fight with those motorcycle gang thugs. Even though he was agile and experienced in combat, he couldn't withstand the attack of five people and still suffered some injuries.

Fortunately, it was precisely because of this action that he activated his cheat code ahead of schedule.

The next moment, a thought flashed through my mind.

A shocking cover came into view...

It was a pale head with grayish-white skin, a pair of scarlet pupils, and a long, tentacle-like tongue extending from its mouth.

An extremely terrifying and chilling feeling enveloped Lin Jue!

"Vampires!"

Memories of his past life echoed in Lin Jue's mind, and with a hint of surprise in his eyes, he immediately recognized the American horror TV series with a vampire theme that he had once loved so much!

The story mainly revolves around a Boeing 777 passenger plane that has lost communication with the ground and shows no signs of life, landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

A biohazard investigation by the CDC has led to the discovery of a new type of parasite, sparking a war between humans and vampires.

The vampires in that story are completely different from those in Twilight and The Vampire Diaries. Beneath their ugly and ferocious appearances lies an insatiable thirst!

What Lin Jue feared most was the extremely terrifying and disgusting infectious ability. Those countless tiny worms were simply Lin Jue's nightmare. In that drama, many characters, including the main characters, were unconsciously invaded by those worms and thus became bloodthirsty monsters.

Compared to traditional vampires, their speed and strength may not be outstanding, but their most troublesome feature is their silent and insidious infection!

Thinking about a scene in a movie or TV series where a celebrity, infected with worms, suddenly loses his manhood while using the toilet, Lin Jue felt a chill run down his spine!

"Is this my cheat code?"

Looking at the horrifying cover of the series, Lin Jue thought it was better to skip it!

However, seemingly sensing his dissatisfaction, a message entered his mind at that moment.

[Upon first traversing to another world, the innate talent "Dimensional Deprivation" will be successfully activated.]

[A special ability that can be used upon entering a special alternate dimension, capable of stripping any defeated or defenseless creature of its abilities!]

Note: [The ability to deprive will be optimized, and its negative effects will be removed!]

"Deprive them of the ability to defeat living beings!"

Lin Jue's pupils widened suddenly, and his initial denial instantly changed. Faced with enormous benefits, anyone would overcome all fear!

He glanced at the frail Emily cleaning the dilapidated hotel alone, then looked at his own messy wounds.

Lin Jue gritted his teeth, looked at the scarlet cover in front of him, and his heart stirred.

Then, the scarlet movie and TV series cover that seemed to be visible only to him slowly opened like a door, revealing a dark vortex. Looking around, Lin Jue was surprised to find that everything around him seemed to have stopped in time.

Looking at the endless, deep spacetime portal that resembled a black hole, he realized that he could only step inside and could not do anything else. His thought of using the time-stopping ability came to an abrupt halt.

……

An endless darkness flashed by, and I felt nothing at all.

Lin Heng slowly opened his eyes. In the dimly lit airplane cabin, all was quiet. Everyone had their eyes closed, as if they were asleep. The somewhat familiar scene in front of him made his expression change drastically.

A dull thud gradually came from the airplane aisle behind us.

"Fuck! ***!"

Lin Jue couldn't help but curse wildly in his heart. He never expected that when he transmigrated to the world of vampires, he would land directly on the plane at the very beginning of the series!

Isn't this just a way to give the final boss a free meal right from the start?

He was furiously cursing his own cheat code.

Lin Jue closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and calmed his heart, which had never pounded so violently in his life. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the white man sleeping soundly beside him. His thoughts raced wildly. The dull thud grew closer and closer, as if someone was tiptoeing towards him...
