Chapter 50 - A Private Seat in the Infinite City~

Geralt's attack was easily shattered by Eredin's punch, the fireball released through a sign being effortlessly smashed. The shattered embers struck Eredin without leaving a trace.

Having obtained the power from the ancient blood, Geralt now appears weak and pathetic to Eredin, who sees him as having no ability to threaten him even if Eredin were standing there.

Surprisingly, when Geralt's sword came slashing down, Eredin instantly felt an unprecedented sense of danger. Without thinking, she dodged to the side, but she was a second too slow. The runic sword sliced through the air, and even though the blade didn't reach Geralt's chest, the invisible runic power still left a bloody gash on his frost-covered armor!

Seeing this, his eyes narrowed slightly. Then, a startling layer of frost covered the scar on Ericin's chest, stopping the bleeding. He then said coldly, "The weapon is decent, but that's all!"

As he spoke, a crack burst open above Eredin's head, and surging white frost poured down like a torrential downpour. Caught off guard, Geralt had already missed his best opportunity to slip away.

Just as Geralt was about to gamble on whether he could force his way out by sacrificing a leg, a hand reached out from the space behind him, and Ciri pulled him directly out of the Frost's range.

Holding her sword in both hands, Ciri's eyes were filled with solemnity: "Be careful, Eredin has mastered the Ancient Blood! The essence of space and the Frost itself have become his weapons!"

Hearing Ciri's words, Geralt looked at her, sword in hand, gazing intently at Eredin, a complex, indescribable emotion flickering in his eyes. Finally, that emotion transformed into a look of relief, and he gripped his longsword tighter, saying, "I'll support you, you attack!"

"good!"

As they spoke, the two advanced side by side. Swords clashed, blades flashed.

Despite facing an attack from Geralt and Ciri, Eredin seemed completely at ease. His greatsword, made of cold iron, continuously unleashed frost-covered strikes through the air. The surrounding air had already reached freezing point with Eredin's arrival; even with the runes enhancing his abilities, Geralt could clearly feel his body temperature rapidly decreasing.

This forced Geralt to deliberately leave the battlefield after a period of fighting, allowing his body to quickly recover its strength and temperature under the enhancement of the runes. Otherwise, without Eredin's active attack, Geralt would lose his ability to fight due to hypothermia.

Despite being surrounded, Eredin kept some of her attention focused on Ron, who was standing to the side.

Although Ron stood there all alone, his black, unidentified leather trench coat fluttering in the cold wind, for some reason, just by standing there, Ericin could feel a strange chill creeping into her heart.

Thinking this, Eredin swung his sword, repelling Geralt and Ciri, and galloped through the sky on his skeletal warhorse. The sound of hooves, seemingly striking the hearts of the people, echoed through the air, along with Eredin's cold voice:

"Unknown powerhouse! What are you waiting for? Or do you think you can defeat me with just these two stray dogs?!"

"You've got it wrong, I have no reason to be your enemy."

Ron waved his hand, looking bored, and said, "I'm a pacifist. Your world's conflicts are your business. There's really no need to involve our world, is there? So, if you want to fight, then fight. Once the battle is over, leave. I'm just preventing a bigger conflict from happening here."

Upon hearing this, Eredin, nestled beneath the skull helmet, narrowed his eyes. He glanced at Geralt and Ciri, then at the magnificent, almost dreamlike world beneath his feet—a magical world where even mortals could manipulate magic with machines…

Is this the future that Ciri saw?

Erudin couldn't help but think—

Ciri, the chosen one, the daughter of time and space, a "swallow" traversing the gaps between time and space. As one of the key members cultivating the Ancient Blood, Eredin is well aware of the power contained within it.

It's no exaggeration to say that even now, Ciri still doesn't truly understand what her power is like.

Manipulating people's minds and transforming spirit into a tangible force are all basic uses of energy. More importantly, Ciri possesses the ability to traverse space and time, disregarding cause and effect.

In Ciri's past, to escape the Wild Hunt, she visited Earth, including medieval Venice and Poland, and industrial-era England. This isn't just limited to the novels; in The Witcher 3, she even mentions arriving in a highly advanced, futuristic mechanical society.

Having acquired a portion of the Ancient Blood, Eredin used this Ancient Blood as a medium to clearly see Ciri's past memories.

The Ancient Blood possesses a far greater understanding of space and time than any warlock or sage's portal. It can be activated at any time and place according to the holder's will, without requiring any specific device or energy source. With just a thought, it can transcend causality and traverse space and time.

Using it only for teleportation and surprise attacks is an insult to this ability.

First, find a way to fully master the ancient bloodline, and then, enslave this world...

Having made up her mind, Erin nodded and looked at Ron from afar, saying:

"Very well, I will leave after I capture them. As you can see, this war is between me and them; the warriors of the Wild Hunt will bear witness and record this glorious moment with their own eyes!"

As Eredin spoke with seemingly resounding conviction, the Wild Hunt riders galloping through the dark clouds behind him let out a series of muffled growls. These growls did not stir the blood; instead, they instilled an unprecedented sense of despair and tension.

Seeing this, Ron nodded: "Okay, I vouch for it with my reputation."

Upon hearing this, Geralt and Ciri paled, their eyes revealing a hint of tension and fear. Meanwhile, a swift smile crept across Eredin's lips beneath his helmet, before he cast a cold glance at Geralt and Ciri—primarily Ciri; Geralt was, in Eredin's eyes, insignificant.

Even though Eredin once thought Geralt could become a powerful Wild Hunt warrior, Geralt still seemed as worthless as dust in the face of the importance of the Elder Blood.

Thinking this, Eredin pointed her sword at Ciri again.

"You must understand, Daughter of Time and Space, your innate talents won't help you. Because your talents are bestowed upon me by me, they belong to me, to the Wild Hunt. Don't try to run away. Even if you do, I will cross the rifts of time and space to catch you."

But before Eredin could finish speaking, she immediately noticed that although Geralt's face was full of despair, Ciri's lips twitched slightly, as if she was speechless about something.

Just then, shouts came from behind Eredin from the Wild Hunt riders: "Watch out! Ambush!"

Ok?

Before Eredin could react, a figure as black as ink emerged from the shadow of his armor. His gaze was cold, and he held the meat saw high in his hand. To maximize the meat saw's destructive power, it had now been transformed from a handsaw into a long-handled battle axe.

He clenched his arms and slammed them down. The centrifugal force sent the blood-stained, rusty meat saw through the air, leaving a dull arc in its wake.

puff! !

The heavy saw blade, like a battle axe, was deeply embedded in Eredin's body. With the sounds of shattering steel and breaking bones, flesh and blood flew everywhere around Eredin. The heavy blow fell from his shoulder straight into his lung, showing no mercy, as if it intended to cleave him in two!

But in that instant, Eredin's body vanished along with a crack. However, this was ultimately a hasty dodge; even the ancient blood magic couldn't guarantee Eredin's complete safety, let alone the warhorse beneath him.

Compared to Eridin's power, his fallen unicorn was instantly severed by the flesh-saw, its heavily armored body plummeting downwards amidst gushing blood. With a soft thud, two large chunks of the unicorn's flesh were smashed into a bloody pulp, fresh organs scattered everywhere, and the residual arcane magic within its body still emitted steaming heat even in the chilling frosty night.

Ron pulled out the butcher's cleaver and glanced regretfully at Ericin in the distance. Unsurprisingly, he was met with eyes filled with hatred and rage.

"Warrior from another world! Is this what you swore an oath of honor to do?!"

"My not making a move doesn't mean I won't launch a sneak attack."

After stretching his shoulders, Ron landed on the ground, stepping onto the frost-covered rooftop of Stark Industries. His boots crunched through the ice, making a slightly noisy sound.

"Besides, what need is there for morality when dealing with a heretic like you?"

"This is your so-called justice? How laughable!" Eredin scoffed, then punched his own chest. Immediately afterward, to Ciri's incredulous gaze, Eredin's body began to recover at a visible speed.

"But before the blood of the ancients, your schemes are weak and powerless!"

"Stop pretending, do you think I can't sense the energy draining from your body?" Ron shook his head, then looked at Ciri behind him, asking with some dissatisfaction:

"And you, I even called you 'Hi, wife.' How come your acting was so bad? Geralt didn't even break character, and you couldn't hold back?"

"Sorry..." Ciri forced a smile, then lowered her head and said, "Mainly... I didn't expect this either."

There was no way around it; there hadn't been any prior rehearsal. After all, no one knew what state Eredin would be in when she arrived. After Ron discovered Eredin's thought process, he made tactical arrangements on the spot and communicated secretly through the team's voice chat.

It was only the first time she had committed such a despicable act. Although she was psychologically mature, her mental resilience still needed to grow, and she wasn't as thick-skinned as Geralt. Inevitably, Ciri dragged the team down during this first shameless coordinated sneak attack.

"I'll adapt as quickly as possible..."

"Actually, it's okay not to adapt..." Geralt couldn't help but complain from the side.

However, the tactics were undeniably successful. Even though Eredin had recovered from her superficial injuries, the remaining ancient blood still consumed a significant amount of energy.

"But then again, the feeling of a sneak attack is really not good." As he spoke, Ron stretched his shoulders a couple of times, looked at Ericin, and his flippant expression gradually turned into indifference, and then into a slightly strange fanaticism.

"After all, I was always the one who got ambushed in the past."

"Like a poisoned dagger, sneak attacks are not suitable for a fierce hunt."

Ericin didn't believe a word Ron said. She snorted coldly and then said indifferently:

"Red Cavalry, kill them all!"

As Eredin spoke, the Wild Hunt riders, who were galloping through the air, let out excited battle cries, and then, accompanied by the continuous sound of hooves, they began to race towards New York below.

Seeing this, Tony, who had already replaced the latest Arc Reactor on his Iron Monger armor and whose strength had greatly increased with a sufficient power source, gritted his teeth and said, looking at the Wild Hunt Knights who were almost completely obscuring the sky and sweeping in like a flood, "I'll hold them off here. You guys quickly call some more men!"

Before Tony could finish speaking, a burly red figure sprinted up the smooth exterior of the Stocktech Building.

"And who are you?" Looking at the burly man in red running up, Tony felt as if his house had turned into a brothel. Not only were people coming and going, but he didn't even recognize a single one of them.

The burly man in red was none other than Matt. Compared to Tony, Matt appeared much more mature. He glanced around, then looked at Ron and called out, "Can I use that?"

Ron glanced at the Wild Hunt knights pouring down from the sky, then at Eredin, whose eyes gleamed coldly in the distance, and snapped his fingers.

"One VIP seat in Infinite City!"

As the sound faded, in an instant, everyone within a few kilometers of Ron felt a darkness engulf them, followed by a dizzying feeling of weightlessness. When they opened their eyes again, they found that the surrounding space had completely transformed.

There was no sky, no ground; all that could be seen with the naked eye were withered, yellow doors of various shapes and colors.

Centered on Ron, these doors extend infinitely outwards into the surrounding space, layer upon layer, with no end in sight.

Welcome to Ron's Clubhouse!

Located at the very center of the space, the structure, defying gravity, floated in mid-air. Ron's voice gradually shifted from relaxed to a bloodthirsty fervor:

"Tonight,"

"Ron joins the hunt."
