I, Uchiha Yu, am solely focused on cultivating immortality

Chapter 31 The Status of the Cat Master

Uchiha Setsuna is not young anymore. He was over fifty years old during the reign of the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, and was already middle-aged. He is no longer in his prime.

He was arrested by the Second Hokage's Anbu for inciting rebellion and imprisoned for a full twenty years. He was released now because his health was very poor, and the Third Hokage did not want him to die in prison.

Therefore, Setsuna's ocular power, though seemingly immense, was actually the result of years of accumulation, lacking the support of chakra and thus quite weak. But ultimately, it was still only the power of a three-tomoe ocular sphere, shattered by Miwa Masayo's roar, surprising everyone except Uchiha Yu.

The tabby cat's eyes flashed with a sharp, murderous glint as it stared at Uchiha Setsuna: "You attacked my contractor right in front of me, you want to die, meow?"

Cats are cute, but their murderous intent is terrifying, and it can erupt without warning.

Caught off guard, the old man felt a sudden jolt in his heart, his chakra unable to circulate, his body stiffening, and he could only utter meaningless "ah ah" sounds when he opened his mouth.

Uchiha Setsuna had spent over twenty years in a prison cell, and lacking the perseverance to train, he had long lost the strong will of his youth. He was so frightened by Miwa Masayo that he became physically incapacitated. Fortunately, he hadn't yet lost control of his bladder or bowels, otherwise the old man would definitely have killed him.

Fugaku Uchiha quietly stepped forward and stood in front of Elder Setsuna, blocking Masayo Miwa's murderous aura.

At this moment, Uchiha Yu was connected to Miwa Masayo by aura and immediately sensed the young clan leader's restrained aura, which was like a mountain hidden in the abyss.

Could it be that he has awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan?

[Meow? Yu? Is that you speaking in my mind, meow?]

【...Masayo?】

【It's meow.】

【…】

Uchiha Yu's mind went completely blank. He was willing to share many secrets with Miwa Masayo, but this kind of direct telepathic connection with a kitten...

This is too direct; Uchiha Yu feels he can't accept it.

What if the kitten sees his imagined feline friend... Stop!!!

[What was it again, a cat?]

【You've misread it!!】

[Meow? Never mind, give me more chakra and natural energy, meow. Your clan leader is so amazing, meow.]

【it is good! 】

Miwa Masayo has only been practicing Sage Mode for less than fifteen days with the help of Uchiha Yu. How much Sage Chakra can she have accumulated?

However, as long as she comes into contact with her human, she can directly use his chakra and natural energy to synthesize her own Sage Chakra within her body.

Uchiha Yu was a cultivator who had completed the Hundred Days Foundation Building. Although he had only just established his foundation in the Sage Path and his strength was negligible, his basic power in the ninja world had already reached an incredible level.

Sage Chakra itself possesses immense power, far exceeding that of natural energy or chakra existing independently.

That's why Masayo Miwa could appear so powerful.

Being able to connect on a deeper level is actually quite nice.

[Yes, meow. Just thinking about it is much faster than talking. It's hard for a cat like meow to talk.]

[Yasu, the clan leader is about to retaliate! Prepare!]

【Good meow.】

[3, 2, 1, 0!]

Just as Uchiha Yu was mentally counting down to zero, Uchiha Fugaku simultaneously roared, "Ha!!"

The eye power, far exceeding the limit of the three-tomoe Sharingan, surged forth, intending to shatter the tanuki cat's Sage Chakra.

At that very moment, Masayo Miwa unleashed his Sage Chakra: "Meow!!"

The two powerful forces collided, but due to their respective convergence, they canceled each other out and did not evolve into a violent collision.

Fugaku Uchiha and Yu Uchiha knew that the other party did not intend to cause a big commotion, so they each withdrew their power and ended the contest.

Fugaku Uchiha asked with inexplicable surprise, "You're the ninja cat of Cat Castle, oh no, the Cat Sage?"

【Yoyo, Yoyo-neko, how should I answer?】

Don't be afraid, just say what I say.

Miwa Masayo gracefully jumped onto Uchiha Yu's head, standing high up and looking down at Uchiha Fugaku, answering arrogantly, "I am the sage of Cat Castle, the head of the Uchiha clan. You can call me Sage Miwa Masayo."

"Great! Cat Castle finally has a real fairy."

"Sage, are you able to form summoning contracts with more Uchiha clan members?"

"No, I just became an immortal this year. Both my strength and skills need time to develop, and I don't have the resources to sign a contract with a second person right now."

"You don't need to be disappointed, head of the Uchiha clan."

"The friendship between Cat Castle and the Uchiha has lasted for hundreds of years. Once I have finished organizing the Sage Techniques and passed them on to the other ninja cats, new summoning contracts will naturally be formed."

"You just need to wait patiently for a few years..."

Fugaku was overjoyed. With the Sage's legacy in Cat Castle, someone from the Uchiha clan would learn Sage Mode, and the last weakness that made them inferior to the Senju clan would finally be overcome.

Fugaku immediately began to plan how to further strengthen his relationship with Cat Castle, and even make their relationship public.

Who knew there would be a surprise later?

"Hmm." Miwa Masayo seemed to think for a moment, then pointed with his paw at Uchiha Itachi in Uchiha Mikoto's arms, "Come to Cat Castle to find me when this child turns four."

The surprise came too quickly, and both Fugaku and Mikoto felt dizzy and even became incoherent.

Mikoto hugged the child tightly and bowed deeply, saying, "Thank you for your generosity."

Fugaku also grinned, but worried about being impolite, he forced himself to restrain himself and bowed along with his wife.

Well, the spirit crow I prepared for my son can be sold now. My eldest son must sign a spirit contract with Cat Castle, and it will be the first immortal's contract. He will definitely be able to master the immortal arts in the future.

Fugaku Uchiha lowered his gaze and saw Yu Uchiha, who seemed to know nothing. He smiled and said, "I came to see the training results. Hmm... you... did a good job. There will be an extra reward after the mission is completed."

"Thank you, Chieftain."

"Let's continue."

"Yes."

Then he looked at Miwa Masayo and bowed again, saying, "My business is finished. Please allow us to take our leave."

Miwa Masayo nodded slightly and said with utter arrogance, "You may do as you please, head of the Uchiha clan."

Uchiha Setsuna had recovered by this time, but he didn't say anything.

Uchiha Setsuna originally intended for the clan head to see Uchiha Yu's violations of clan rules, such as not wearing the clan badge to display clan honor when training clan members and giving priority to training outsiders.

But now that the clan chief has discovered the Cat Sage, he ignores everything the cat sage said, instead praising him highly before leaving. He then follows the clan chief in bowing to Masayo Miwa, and they leave together.

Now that the first true Cat Sage has stood on Uchiha Yu's head, what else can he say?

Shame on the Uchiha?

Are you kidding me?

Cat Castle is a summoning sanctuary established through generations of contracts between the Uchiha clan, whose relationship is so close that they can entrust their family heritage and wealth to Granny Cat.

Now that Cat Castle has the inheritance of the immortals, it may soon become the fourth holy land. How stupid must one be to offend the Cat Immortal?

Besides Setsuna, the Uchiha clan has six other elders.
