Author's Note on the Launch of Chapter 84

Our book has been updated for over a month now. We originally thought we had a chance to get recommended on the Sanjiang Recommendation Channel, but... we just missed it.

While this book's performance wasn't bad, it wasn't great either; it's already reached its limit in the recommendation section. After all, the audience for "Douluo Continent: The Legend of the Three Dragon Kings" is still too small. Without the Genshin Impact element, this book would probably have even fewer readers.

It's not that our army is weak, it's just that we can't compare to those Dragon Clan and Naruto fanfics...

Currently, among the fanfiction works on Qidian about the Legend of the Dragon King, probably only one has managed to finish normally. The others… well, they've either been stopped or abandoned. Actually, sometimes you can't blame the authors for not wanting to write; the Legend of the Dragon King became incredibly difficult to write in its later stages. The author's own settings fell apart; the settings for Douluo Continent III are vastly different from Douluo Continent I and II. Given the already inconsistent power levels, it's very difficult to write fanfiction settings that are acceptable to a wider readership!

This is probably why very few adaptations of the Legend of the Dragon King reach their later stages. When the plot starts to fall apart, it's not only difficult for readers to read, but even more difficult for the author to write. There's a sense of stagnation, making it hard to move forward. And if a troll adds even a little criticism at that point, the author's mentality collapses.

The main reason I'm saying all this is to ask the critics to be gentle. After all, writing a Dragon King Legend fanfiction that gets published isn't easy. You may not like it, but please don't hurt it.

This book has been able to be written and published thanks to the support of all of you readers, and I hope you will continue to support me! I will do my best to write a work that everyone will enjoy.

Generally, by the time the book reaches this point, those who can't accept it have already left, and those who can accept it won't nitpick about minor details. The rest are the real readers!

In terms of favorites, recommendation votes, and monthly tickets, we haven't outperformed others. But I hope our subscription numbers won't fall too far behind...

As for those who are willing to read for free, writing a book isn't easy for the author. My requirements aren't too high. When it goes on sale, I hope the book has 20,000 favorites, and a subscription-to-collection ratio of 20 isn't unreasonable. A thousand first-day subscriptions would be great!

If it's only four or five hundred, that would be truly tragic.
