Legend of the Dragon King: I am Genshin Impact

Chapter 72 passed in succession

Gu Yue demonstrated her advantage in elemental manipulation, but instead of attacking Cai Lao as in the original story, she directly dispersed the fused elements.

"Good, good, good!" The old woman suddenly laughed, turning to Shen Yi and saying, "Zhuo Shi has finally done something good. Extending our assessment time for these little ones seems worthwhile. This girl doesn't need to take the later exams. She can go straight to the inner courtyard. Six elemental mastery—even I'm a little excited. This will definitely become history on the continent."

After saying this, the old woman walked up to Gu Yue with a smile and looked her up and down.

Although Feng Zixi's abilities also shocked Elder Cai, it was merely a matter of shock and interest. The mastery of the six elements truly suited Elder Cai's tastes!

"Little girl, would you like to become my disciple?" she asked with a smile.

Gu Yue paused for a moment, then shook her head without hesitation, "I don't want to."

"You don't want to?" the old woman asked in surprise. "Why?"

"Because... I already have a teacher..." Gu Yue replied.

There's already a teacher?!

Old Cai's face clearly showed disappointment. Looking at Gu Yue's resolute expression, he even gave up the idea of asking who Gu Yue's teacher was. Such a good child... how come she already has a teacher... what a pity!

"Then... little guy, would you like to become my disciple?" Elder Cai asked Feng Zixi.

Feng Zixi rolled her eyes inwardly. So I'm just a substitute for Gu Yue? She only remembered me because she couldn't get her.

"I have a teacher now," Feng Zixi said casually.

"Who is your teacher?!" Old Master Cai was furious. She had rejected two children who wanted to take her as a disciple. Didn't Cai Yue'er have any dignity?

"Dancing in the Sky!"

"Wu Changkong?!" Cai Yue'er suddenly remembered why the assessment had been extended. She wasn't so tasteless as to try to steal a disciple from her juniors.

"Get out of here, you're in my way!" Cai Yue'er swept away. "Dagger boy, seven points; Star Staff, seven points; Golden Dragon, full marks; as for you two... zero points!"

After saying that, he left without giving Feng Zixi and Gu Yue a chance to refute him.

Tang Wulin tugged anxiously at Feng Zixi's sleeve, "What should we do? What should we do?"

Feng Zixi glanced at her worried friends and smiled, "No way, no way, you don't really think that Gu Yue and I would fail the test, do you...?"

Tang Wulin smiled sheepishly. He had been too hasty and even forgot that Feng Zixi and Gu Yue were a Soul King and a Soul Master, respectively. If they couldn't get into Shrek Academy, it could only mean one thing... Shrek Academy was blind!

Shen Yi smiled. Although Old Cai gave the two children zero points, she could tell that he was still quite satisfied with them. Giving them zero points was more out of the old man's mischievousness, or perhaps he wanted to see what else these two children were hiding...

Shen Yi led them forward, and after walking a short distance, they arrived at another room. It was about the same size as the previous room, but this time there were several platforms and a lot of clutter.

Tang Wulin's eyes lit up when she saw one of the spots. It was a forging table! This was something she knew all too well!

"The fifth assessment is for your secondary profession!" Cai Yue'er smiled mischievously at Feng Zixi. "Little guy, don't think I'm bullying you. As long as you pass level four in your secondary profession, not only will you get full marks for this stage, but the points deducted from you in the previous stage will also be counted as full marks!"

"Really?" Feng Zixi looked puzzled. Testing her secondary profession? She was capable of creating two-word battle armor all by herself... If she weren't worried about scaring others, she could even create three-word battle armor...

"Yes! Come on, little guy, tell me, what's your side job?"

"Let's forge it then," Feng Zixi said nonchalantly. The reason she chose forging was because it took the least amount of time!

"OK!"

Feng Zixi approached the forging table and randomly selected a piece of metal whose name she didn't know. She placed it directly on the forging table, and it didn't ignite or melt. Instead, her right arm was enveloped in golden light, and after the golden light disappeared, golden patterns appeared on the arm.

She raised her hand and gently touched the unknown metal. The metal's structure and properties, inside and out, appeared in Feng Zixi's mind. She raised her hand and snapped her fingers!

Golden ripples of rock element spread outwards, whoosh!

Golden light surged from the unknown metal. Although Cai Yue'er's secondary profession wasn't blacksmithing, she still possessed basic discernment. A top-grade, thousand-forged metal! Definitely a top-grade, thousand-forged metal! Just one snap of her fingers?!

"How...how did you do that?" Cai Yue'er felt that she had seen more strange things in her entire life than in this single day. Whether it was that superb stealth technique or that fantastical forging method, it was simply beyond the comprehension of normal people!

Tang Wulin was also incredibly shocked. She knew that Feng Zixi was skilled in forging, and was even at least a level four forging master, but... she really didn't expect that Feng Zixi's forging method only required snapping her fingers...

"It's a secret, hehe!" Feng Zixi chuckled.

Cai Yue'er slammed her hand on the table fiercely, "I absolutely will not go back on my word! Your and your little girlfriend's grades will both be counted as full marks. As for the remaining three kids, they don't need to take this test anymore, they get zero!"

After saying that, he turned and left without giving Feng Zixi and Gu Yue a friendly look.

Feng Zixi's soft murmur lingered in her friend's ears, "This woman doesn't seem like a good person..."

Shen Yi trembled slightly and quickly led Feng Zixi and the others to the next level.

In the sixth challenge, which involved eating, Tang Wulin finished off all the food by himself.

The seventh challenge tested endurance. Although Xu Xiaoyan and Xie Xie did not get a perfect score, their scores were not bad either.

After the seven assessments, Feng Zixi scored 70 points, Gu Yue 69 points, Tang Wulin 59 points, Xu Xiaoyan 48 points, and Xie Xie 51 points!

Judging from the current situation, even Xu Xiaoyan, who has the lowest score, has a high chance of passing the assessment. She only needs to get twelve points in the remaining three rounds, which means she only needs four points in each round to pass. There is almost no chance of her being rejected!

Unless... Cai Yue'er is the judge for two of the remaining three rounds, and she gives zero points for both rounds!

"The eighth test is comprehensive combat. You will each face a Shrek Academy student who enrolled last year. Their abilities will be randomly selected. So, luck is also a part of strength. If you can last more than ten minutes in a battle with them, you will pass. Defeating your opponent will earn you ten points. The score will be between six and ten points, depending on your performance in actual combat."

Upon hearing that it was a comprehensive combat test, the children in Class Zero all breathed a sigh of relief. While their overall combat abilities might not be top-tier, at least it wasn't some miscellaneous assessment. Without Tang Wulin's help, probably very few of them would have gotten a perfect score on the steamed bun challenge…
