Elf: I Am a Farmer

Chapter 75 Thoughts

Chapter 75 Thoughts

"You're really something, Turkey!"

Seeing that the Torchic had lowered the guard of the Zigzagoon and the others, Chiba Kaede patted its head with great satisfaction and praised it.

"Chamo!"

The Torchic was very happy to be praised by its trainer. Its eyes narrowed, and it continued to lead the Zigzagoon and the others to the campsite with its head held high.

"Please don't be shy, help yourselves to everything!"

Chiba Kaede addressed the three elves who, even after arriving at the camp, were still somewhat reserved and hesitant to make any moves.

In fact, Chiba Kaede knew why they were so reserved. How could they not be afraid when they were being watched by so many elves who were stronger than them?

If it weren't for the fact that Chiba Maple clearly had no intention of harming them, and the fact that Torchic hadn't invited them, they would have already run away.

However, when Chiba Kaede pushed the food in front of them and offered it to them, they gradually let go of their inhibitions under the temptation of the food and began to eat the delicious food in front of them.

After just one bite, they were captivated by the delicious food, abandoned their last bit of reserve, and began to devour it.

The turkeys sat beside them, happily eating their food and occasionally exchanging words with them.

With Torchic acting as a buffer, Zigzagoon and the others were finally able to temporarily integrate into their feast, and a cheerful atmosphere filled the air, with all the Pokémon thoroughly enjoying the moment.

"I'm so full, I can't eat anymore. You guys keep going!"

Unsurprisingly, the first to withdraw from the battle was Trainer Chiba Kaede; his stomach was already bulging.

The giant swallow next to it glanced at its own novice trainer with a look of disdain, then, with its equally round belly, continued to devour the remaining food. For it, food should not be left uneaten; this was a self-awareness of a foodie.

"Hey Wang Yan, take it easy, don't stuff your belly until it bursts!"

Chiba Kaede looked at the giant swallow's belly, which was getting bigger and bigger, and said with concern.

Of course, he was met with a disdainful look from the giant swallow. How could it, a giant swallow, possibly be defeated by the food in front of it? This was underestimating its perseverance.

Half an hour later, the food on the tablecloth had been completely eaten up. However, as a price, a group of elves with bulging bellies were lying haphazardly on the ground, including the three unexpected guests.

For the serpent bears, tonight's meal was the best and most filling they had ever eaten since birth. They still couldn't quite believe it, but after patting their round bellies, they had no more doubts.

"Great Swallow, I told you not to push yourself. Looking at you now, do you even think you can fly?"

Chiba Kaede patted the large, protruding belly of the Great Swallow and joked.

Da Wang Yan simply rolled her eyes at him, then tilted her head to one side and closed her eyes, pretending to doze off.

It doesn't want to deal with its trainer right now. Give it some time, and it will digest the food quickly. Then it will be a good swallow again.

"Turkey, stop circling around me! You're making me dizzy!"

Chiba Kaede said to the only Torchic that was still energetic.

This little chick ate quite a bit; its belly was bulging just now, but it regained its energy in such a short time. ♡💣 ❻➈丂ⓗยⓧ.𝓒σ𝓶 💙💝

As the only juvenile Pokémon, its sole goal at this stage is to absorb a large amount of energy to promote its own growth and development. Therefore, its current metabolic capacity is unmatched by other Pokémon.

Torchic naturally ignored its trainer's words, or rather, half of them, and ran off to circle around the newly acquainted Zigzagoon and its friends.

And while circling around them, I talked to them, but most of the time it was the one chattering away, while the snake bears would occasionally reply listlessly.

"You bastard!"

Chiba Kaede felt that he was losing face in front of his own Pokémon, and then turned to look at Swellow, thinking that it was all this guy's fault.

Just as Da Wang Yan was about to fall asleep, she suddenly felt a chill run down her spine. Turning her head, she saw her trainer staring at her with a malicious look in his eyes.

Swellow felt a little uncomfortable being stared at, so she shifted her body and slowly moved away from her trainer.

Seeing that nothing was wrong, Chiba Kaede looked up at the starry sky. It was already night, and the night was deep. However, the environment here was much better than in his previous life, and the stars in the sky were reflected in his eyes with unparalleled clarity.

However, he wasn't an astronomy enthusiast in his previous life, so he could only appreciate the beauty of the night sky without understanding anything else, let alone identifying the constellations he was familiar with in his previous life.

Although he had traveled through time, in the quiet of the night, he would still inadvertently recall bits and pieces of his past life, remembering the ordinary yet now heartwarming family life he had lived.

To be a stranger in a foreign country alone, think of love every time during the festive season.

Now he has a deeper understanding of this poem, because he is not only in a foreign land, but also in another world, the kind he can never return to.

With these thoughts of homesickness lingering in her mind, Chiba Kaede drifted off to sleep.

Although he was in the wild, he was surrounded by so many elves, so he wasn't worried about any danger. That's why he was able to fall asleep so soundly without any worries. If it were during the time when he had just transmigrated, no matter how tired he was, he wouldn't have been able to sleep so peacefully.

When Chiba Kaede woke up again, it was already the next morning. The soft sunlight shone on his face, bringing a touch of warmth. The weather had turned cool, and the turkey lying on his stomach played a key role in the reason he was able to sleep so soundly.

It acts like a torch, bringing a different temperature to the surroundings and preventing the morning dew from affecting the thousand-leaf maple.

Looking around, he saw that his own elves surrounded him, forming a windbreak and preventing any danger from getting close.

Stroking the sleeping chick on his chest, Chiba Kaede wasn't in a hurry to get up; he didn't want to disturb the elves' sweet dreams at this moment.

However, for Pokémon with keen senses, even the slightest disturbance can alert them, especially now that they need to protect their trainers. Last night, they were actually awakened countless times.

They will not let go of the slightest suspicious movement, whether it is a bird in the sky, a carp king in the river, or a wild spirit in the grass. Anyone who dares to approach their place will be driven away by them.

"Now that you're awake, let's pack up and get ready to go home!"

Chiba Kaede addressed the elves who had regained consciousness.

The elves were thrilled. Although they had only been away from the farm for a little over ten days, they missed their farmmates, especially the Swellow, Mosquito Coil, and the Multicolored Wool Sheep. As leaders of their tribe, they still missed their little brothers.

"Have the snake bears left already?"

After washing his face by the river, Chiba Kaede noticed that the snake-patterned bear, acorn, and budding basil, who had visited the day before, had already left. He then asked the Great King Swallow about it.

After receiving a positive reply from the Great Swallow, Chiba Kaede didn't take it to heart. After all, it was just a chance encounter; people meet when they're meant to and part ways when fate takes its course. This is a common occurrence during travel.

After breakfast, Chiba Kaede packed her things and prepared to ride the giant swallow back to her farm.

Thinking back, I realize I've neglected the planning and management of Chiba Farm lately, leaving many things to Terada Yuri and the others. I need to plan things out properly when I get back.

After getting ready, just as Chiba Kaede was about to mount the Great Swallow, she saw the Zigzag Bear and the others running over, so she stopped and waited for them to arrive.

"Is there anything else?"

Looking at the three panting elves, Chiba Kaede asked.

After panting for a while, the serpentine bear spat something out of its mouth and nudged it forward with its head.

"Is this... for me?"

Chiba Kaede asked with a hint of doubt.

Only after the snake-patterned bear gave an affirmative answer did Chiba Kaede go up to check.

"This is... charcoal?"

After holding the object in his hand, Chiba Kaede knew it was a piece of charcoal. As for its quality, he wasn't sure, but he felt it wouldn't be worse than the one Yasha had obtained.
