Douluo Continent, Huo Yuhao who returned from Sekiro

Chapter 75 The Azure-Eyed Swift Demon Dog (Part 2) (35,000 words per day)

Huo Yuhao unleashed several more sword strikes, some of which were skillfully dodged by the Azure-Eyed Swift Demon Hound, while others were deflected from their original trajectories by a gust of wind whipped up by the hound. However, Huo Yuhao did not care about these incidents.

How much energy did he expend to shoot the shuriken? No matter how you look at it, it was less than what his opponent consumed by jumping around and dodging, or using his internal soul power to create a whirlwind to disperse the shuriken.

The speed of the Azure-Eyed Swift Hound is terrifying, but it comes at the cost of its defense.

Even though Huo Yuhao's previous strike was blocked by the airflow shield on the Azure-Eyed Swift Demon Hound before it landed on the opponent, it still slightly fractured the opponent's left leg bone. If the opponent had taken a full hit from Huo Yuhao's strike, he would have definitely died on the spot.

Although Huo Yuhao had almost no chance of making a mistake against this formidable enemy, the same was true for his opponent, which was why Huo Yuhao was firing shuriken one after another.

Both he and the Azure-Eyed Swift Hound had limited stamina. Whoever was closer to exhaustion would reveal a weakness sooner. In his battle with the Azure-Eyed Swift Hound, revealing a weakness was almost equivalent to death!

As expected, the Azure-Eyed Swift Hound also realized that things were going in the direction Huo Yuhao was leading it. If it couldn't kill Huo Yuhao as quickly as possible, it might very well perish here.

The Azure-Eyed Swift Hound paused almost imperceptibly, then transformed into a brownish-red afterimage and charged toward Huo Yuhao. But unlike before, Huo Yuhao seemed to have anticipated this, and had taken out a metal mechanical umbrella in advance, twisting it sharply the moment the hound charged.

"Click click click click click."

A series of mechanical gears turned, and the Azure-Eyed Swift Demon Dog's seemingly inevitable attack crashed into the soul-guided umbrella that Huo Yuhao had just opened. Huo Yuhao then abruptly closed the umbrella and slashed out with his katana, cutting into the airflow shield in front of the dog.

The Azure-Eyed Swift Hound retreated in terror, its eyes filled with fear as it looked at Huo Yuhao. It didn't know why the other party could sense the timing of its attack and prepare in advance to defend itself.

The airflow shield in front of the Azure-Eyed Swift Hound was almost shattered, but Huo Yuhao did not show any frustration in his eyes when his attack failed to break through it. Instead, a hint of joy flashed in his eyes.

Sure enough, what he had seen with his Illusory Eyes was indeed the sign that the opponent was about to launch an attack.

In Huo Yuhao's illusory eyes, before each attack, the gray fiber bundles attached to the bones of the Azure-Eyed Swift Hound would contract more, and the muscles all over its body would feel as if they had been electrified, with a strange power flowing through its entire body along the fiber bundles.

In this state, the opponent's reaction speed and attack speed will suddenly increase to an unbelievable level. The Azure-Eyed Swift Demon Dog wanted to flee thousands of miles away the moment it hit the umbrella. If Huo Yuhao hadn't subconsciously closed the umbrella and suddenly slashed out with his sword, he wouldn't have even been able to touch the air shield on the opponent's body.

Did it not only enhance its speed, but also its reaction speed?

No wonder it could bring such a strong sense of pressure even though it was only a hundred-year-old soul beast.

A sudden realization flashed through Huo Yuhao's mind. Every time the opponent launched an attack, his speed appeared to be slowed down. Under these circumstances, he, who was originally without any flaws, became vulnerable all over.

Even if the opponent's state only lasts for about a second each time, they are indeed an extremely difficult opponent.

We cannot give him a chance to recover his physical strength.

Huo Yuhao's expression hardened as he looked at the Azure-Eyed Swift Hound confronting him not far away, realizing that launching such an attack would inevitably consume a lot of its physical strength.

In other words, while the other party may appear to be confronting you, they are actually racing against time to recover their physical strength.

Huo Yuhao's first spirit ring lit up, and a layer of holy flame was already smeared on the blade of his katana. He took a sudden step forward and slashed at the demon hound. The demon hound had just launched an attack and was exhausted, so it could only dodge in a sorry state.

While launching a continuous offensive like waves crashing on the shore, Huo Yuhao kept a close eye on the Azure-Eyed Swift Hound with his Illusory Eye. When Huo Yuhao saw a pale yellow energy bursting from the hound's spine and traveling through its entire body along the gray nerve bundles, Huo Yuhao opened the mechanical umbrella in his hand again.

Sure enough, the next moment, the green-eyed swift demon hound, whose airflow shield had been shattered by Huo Yuhao, suddenly became illusory again, and its previously disheveled evasion became effortless.

The swift, blue-eyed hound darted about in Huo Yuhao's blade, yet remained untouched, its fur only slightly curled from the intense heat of the holy flames.

Another series of mechanical sounds rang out, and Huo Yuhao suddenly opened the mechanical umbrella. Immediately afterwards, with a loud 'bang,' the Azure-Eyed Swift Demon Hound once again crashed solidly into Huo Yuhao's mechanical umbrella, but this time the Azure-Eyed Swift Demon Hound did not back down.

It had already sensed the danger. Although it didn't know how the human in front of it had detected the signs of its attack, if this continued, the other party could even drag it out until its synapses were completely burned out due to constant overexertion, and it would surely die!

Unlike the pale yellow energy that previously burst forth from the spine, the Azure-Eyed Swift Hound now unleashed a large amount of deep yellow energy from deep within its spine, flowing towards the gray fiber bundles in its limbs and bones.

Those gray fiber bundles, which were much thicker than those of other soul beasts of the same size, were even slightly glowing at this moment. When the deep yellow energy flowed into the demon hound's limbs and bones along the fiber bundles, its speed suddenly increased again!

Suddenly discarding the soul-guided umbrella that had been shattered by the opponent's claws, Huo Yuhao's wrist shot out a metal bullet, and he leaped into the air onto a large tree.

Within a second or two, Huo Yuhao's legs were torn and bleeding profusely by the opponent's attack.

Without a second thought, Huo Yuhao grabbed two pills from his storage soul tool and popped them into his mouth. He watched with icy eyes as the demonic dog, which had moved like lightning, rushed from the ground to the tree in the blink of an eye, and then leaped up the tree as if walking on flat ground, charging towards him.

Huo Yuhao held his breath, and the surroundings seemed to quiet down.

In Huo Yuhao's perception, time seemed to have stopped flowing at this moment. At this moment, the whole world consisted only of himself, who was slowly raising his sword, and the demonic dog that rushed towards him like a yellow lightning bolt.
