Douluo Continent, Huo Yuhao who returned from Sekiro

Chapter 355 Semifinals (8K)

Judging from the changes in Xu Jiujiu's expression and Xu Jiawei's subtle gaze, Huo Yuhao found it hard to believe that the lottery results weren't rigged.

For Xu Jiawei, this match was a sure-fire win no matter what.

Shrek won. It's not shameful for them to lose. At the same time, they can better observe Huo Yuhao's talent and also curb their sister's arrogance. Who knows, the two might even develop a mutual respect on the Soul Arena and create a beautiful story. Such a prodigy is a native of Xingluo.

Even if Shrek loses because of arrogance, it will pave the way for his younger sister, allowing Star Luo National Academy to secure second place and gain massive prestige, becoming the first academy to defeat Shrek's undefeated myth in thousands of years.

It really is true that you can't lose out no matter what.

With a smile on his face, Xu Jiawei personally checked the lottery numbers and announced the results to the public.

When the people of the Star Luo Empire heard that their group was going to face Shrek Academy, gasps of surprise rang out from the crowd.

"We wish all four teams the best of luck in the upcoming matches. The draw is over, please prepare yourselves. Today's first team battle will be Shrek Academy versus Star Luo National Academy."

The rules for the semi-finals and finals will follow the same rules as the previous knockout rounds, and will be held over two days, consisting of team battles and individual elimination rounds.

The difference this time is that you have to defeat all seven opponents to win the individual battle.

In this way, the outcome of team battles is no longer the key to determining the winner.

If the score is tied, a tiebreaker of 2-2-3 will be played, with the winner determined by a best-of-three series.

Huo Yuhao returned to the rest area, and Wang Yan was the first to greet him, asking in a low voice, "Yuhao, what are your feelings for that princess of the Star Luo Empire?"

Huo Yuhao shook his head: "The opponent didn't participate in the ball-stealing and didn't reveal their aura, but I think their martial soul should be the Star Crown Xu family's inherited martial soul, Star Crown."

Wang Yan nodded and said, "If I remember correctly, the Star Crown Martial Soul will definitely have an ability called Star Guardian, which can strip away elements. This is just like Yue Heng's soul skill will inevitably have the White Tiger Vajra Transformation. We need to pay more attention to this."

"Today's team battle features Xiao Tao, Luo Chen, Zi Feng, Yu Hao, San Shi, Xiao Xiao, and Cai Tou."

"It's clear from the matches these past few days that most academies have started equipping their students with soul tools, and Star Luo Royal Academy is no exception, adept at using soul tools in combat."

"Even the Douling Empire Academy has its trump card, the Thunder Cannon. It's impossible for the Xingluo Empire Academy not to have a powerful soul tool. Yuhao needs to oversee the overall tactical deployment. Caitou can help analyze the opponent's soul tool configuration so that you can adapt to the situation."

"In this match, Yueheng and the others should stay out of it and try to hide their spirit ring configurations as much as possible, so that they can launch a surprise attack in the finals."

"Yuhao, this match is putting a lot of pressure on you. Many of the students from Xingluo Royal Academy have never been on the field before. You need to analyze all their spirit rings and spirit skills as soon as they take the field and devise an effective strategy for everyone."

"Xiao Tao will be the main attacker, Chen Zifeng will cooperate with Xiao Tao in ground combat, Luo Chen and Xiao Xiao will control the field from a distance according to Yu Hao's command, and Cai Tou will provide long-range fire support. San Shi, you'd better protect them well. Does everyone understand their mission?"

"Understood!"

The Shrek members responded in unison, and then Xu Sanshi weakly raised his hand again.

"Teacher, is Yuhao on my protection list?"

Wang Yan rolled her eyes: "You've completed your mission if you just try not to let Yuhao protect you."

After deciding on the final participants, the seven Shrek members lined up in a neat row.

The Star Luo National Academy's team is led by Princess Xu Jiujiu.

After she came on stage, she stared intently in Huo Yuhao's direction, her eyes filled with utter provocation.

Huo Yuhao felt somewhat helpless. The person the other party should be most wary of was his senior sister. What was it of her to be eyeing a mere second-ring Soul Master like him?

Besides, he's only twelve or thirteen years old. Even if this princess beats him, wouldn't it still be bullying a child? Why is she so agitated?

Huo Yuhao chuckled to himself.

"Shrek Academy, Star Luo National Academy, team members, enter the arena!" The loud voice of Tian Sha Douluo Huang Jinxu resounded throughout the arena.

Xu Jiawei, under the protection of the other three Title Douluos, has returned to the Imperial City and climbed the city wall to watch the battle.

Huo Yuhao walked at the very front.

Ma Xiaotao, Chen Zifeng, Ling Luochen, Xu Sanshi, He Caitou, and Xiao Xiao followed closely behind.

Even before the semi-finals began, the air was thick with tension as the players stared at each other.

To be precise, it was a one-sided hostility from the Star Luo National Academy team.

Shrek and his group of seven had intense fighting spirit in their eyes, but they had lost all of their former arrogance.

A faint thought flashed between Huo Yuhao's brows, carrying an extreme pressure of domineering and sharpness, instantly severing the momentum of the seven members of the Star Luo National Academy team.

The Heavenly Fiend Douluo's gaze swept over Huo Yuhao, revealing a hint of surprise.

Such sharp sword intent, even carrying a hint of pure killing intent.

In that instant, Huang Jinxu thought of the records about the Heavenly Killing Star in ancient books.

A calamity sent down by Heaven.

But he quickly regained his composure and said coldly, "Both sides step back. No one may release their martial spirit or soul tool before I announce the start of the match."

Both teams retreated simultaneously, but their eyes remained fixed on each other.

During the retreat, the formation changed rapidly.

Six people from Xingluo Academy formed a triangle, with the arrow pointing towards Shrek, while only Princess Jiujiu stood at the very back.

The moment Xu Sanshi appeared in the group, the expressions of the people from Xingluo Academy were not good.

Xu Sanshi has only made two moves since the start of the competition, using only his first and fourth soul skills, yet he still managed to pull off some impressive feats.

They pulled out the spear of the Thousand Spirits Academy's Ice and Fire Combined Attack Thousand-Pound Spear, crippling the academy.

Teaming up with Jiang Nannan, they effortlessly eliminated two Soul Masters in the 2-2-3 format.

Finally, by using the speed of the falling lightning to replace Xuanming, the cannon was smashed so that its muzzle pointed upwards, providing a crucial precondition for Huo Yuhao's lightning retaliation.

Xu Sanshi's presence meant that they all had to wear flying soul tools and maintain a flying state almost at all times to prevent Shrek Academy from replicating their deceptive tactics.

Regardless of your strength, if you can't walk on air like Huo Yuhao, you have to concentrate fully, or you might be eliminated if you're not careful.

Fortunately, Jiang Nannan, who possesses teleportation and invincibility, didn't appear in this match. Otherwise, if these two teamed up, they would have absolutely tormented them to the point of ecstasy.
