Douluo Continent, Huo Yuhao who returned from Sekiro

Chapter 103 Your Arrogant and Incompetent Student (Daily Ten Thousand Words)

They walked north along the corridor until they reached the end, where they stopped in front of a door called Experimental Zone Twelve. According to the teaching log in Dean Yan Shaozhe's hand, Experimental Zone Twelve had two experimental tasks today, one at noon and one in the afternoon.

With a flick of his wrist, Huo Yuhao produced a hexagonal silver token in his hand and pressed it against the gate of Experimental Zone No. 12.

A miraculous scene unfolded: a crack appeared in the door, perfectly accommodating his token. Huo Yuhao seemed to sense a brief fluctuation of soul power. The token then sprang from the crack. Immediately afterward, accompanied by a rattling sound, the door to Experiment Zone Twelve swung open horizontally.

As soon as the door opened, Huo Yuhao was shocked to discover that the door, made entirely of metal, was a full two feet thick. It had sliding rails on the ground and top, allowing it to move slowly.

"Boom!" Huo Yuhao was startled by a loud noise as soon as he entered the room. The strong shockwave mixed with the airflow rushed towards him, making his school uniform flutter.

Only upon entering this experimental zone number twelve can one discover that it is a completely different world, with thick metal plates dividing it into various areas, like a series of metal boxes.

Soon, Huo Yuhao arrived at the largest area. It was an open space, about two thousand square meters in size, and over ten meters high. At the edge of the area, some people were fiddling with strange objects.

"Fanyu, don't put too much pressure on yourself. To be honest, Zhou Yi is very good at manipulating students' psychology. Even I, if I hadn't been hit in the face by that stack of documents that Dean Yan handed me, wouldn't have believed that Zhou Yi could do such a thing. You can't blame yourself for being kept in the dark."

The speaker was a burly man with a wrinkle-free face, but his head of white hair as sharp as steel needles gave him a somewhat weathered appearance. His tall and robust physique seemed to be sculpted from marble, with a height of at least 2.2 meters, broad shoulders, a wide back, and incredibly muscular build.

"Dean Qian, you don't need to comfort me. My biggest problem is that I misjudged people. I became her protector. How many years has she been teaching? In the graduating class she taught, less than one in ten survived. Last year's class, she had only taught for two years, and she expelled half of the students. If the school hadn't discovered it early..."

At this point, the middle-aged man known as Fan Yu even trembled slightly.

You should know that the middle-aged man in front of you is about 1.8 meters tall, with very broad shoulders. He is wearing simple cloth clothes, and his thick and strong arms are exposed, revealing muscles like granite. His face has distinct lines, and just standing there, he gives people a sense of standing like a mountain.

The fact that such a robust man could tremble slightly shows how much psychological impact this event had on him. Even though a year had passed, he still hadn't gotten over it.

"Oh, Fan Yu."

Dean Qian sighed and patted the other person on the shoulder. Perhaps out of a sense of atonement, the other person had not stepped out of the Soul Guidance Department for a whole year. He stayed in the department every day, working day and night on research and experiments. He came this time to persuade the other person to at least go out and not ruin his health.

"Hmm, little one, who are you?"

Qian Duoduo sighed and turned to leave, only to find that a child who was almost 1.8 meters tall but whose face was obviously still very young had appeared behind him.

"Dean Qian, I am Huo Yuhao. Dean Yan sent me here."

"Huo Yuhao?"

In an instant, not only Qian Duoduo, but also Fan Yu beside him turned around, looking at each other with complicated expressions.

"Yes, Dean Qian, that's me."

Huo Yuhao nodded.

"You brat, wasn't it enough that you almost brought down the pillar of my Soul Guidance Department? What else do you want?"

Qian Duoduo's tone was incredibly complex. From a rational perspective, everything Huo Yuhao did was beneficial to Shrek Academy. Even if he knew about this, he probably wouldn't let Zhou Yi off the hook. At most, he would use milder methods to reduce the impact of the matter.

However, from an emotional perspective, Huo Yuhao's actions make it impossible for him to like him.

The development of the Soul Guidance Department was already difficult. It was not easy to have a very young level 8 Soul Guidance Master like Fan Yu, who was expected to reach level 9. However, he was discouraged by the stack of materials prepared by the other party and had not been able to recover for a whole year.

"Don't do that, Dean Qian. The child did the right thing. Even I would have done the same if I had known what Zhou Yi had done. Otherwise, it would be too unfair to the children who were hurt by Zhou Yi."

Seeing that Qian Duoduo was about to make things difficult for Huo Yuhao, Fan Yu instinctively stepped in front of Huo Yuhao.

"Hey, alright, what does that bastard Yan Shaozhe want from me?"

Seeing Qian Duoduo nod helplessly, Huo Yuhao took out two letters and handed them over. One of the letters was stamped with Yan Shaozhe's personal seal.

[I would like to recommend my outstanding disciple to study under you. He possesses dual extreme attributes and a Spirit Eye martial soul of the Spiritual type. If you wish to take him as a disciple, that's fine too. I have promised to find him several more teachers. I hope you will accept him.]

Qian Duoduo almost had a vision problem after reading the first letter. She even wobbled while holding the letter. After rubbing her eyes, she quickly called Fan Yu over.

"Fan Yu, am I seeing things? A dual-attribute martial soul, and a spiritual one at that. I recognize every single word, but why do I not quite understand it when they're put together?"

Fan Yu was stunned when he read the concise recommendation letter written by Yan Shaozhe. He could understand that a spirit attribute soul master had the Spirit Eye as their main martial soul, but what the hell was going on with these two extreme attributes?

After a moment's thought, Qian Duoduo opened the second envelope. This letter was longer and was written by Ning Ge.

[Dean Qian, it's been a long time. Seeing this letter feels like seeing you in person. I'd like to formally recommend Huo Yuhao to join our school's Soul Guidance Department for further studies.]

[This student displayed exceptional talent for soul guidance at the age of nine. Without any instruction, he completed the inscription of the core arrays for several level-one soul guidance devices using only a few copies of "The Wonderful World of Soul Guidance," which cost a few copper coins each, bought from a roadside butcher's stall.]

This student possesses excellent hand-eye coordination, and when crafting low-level core soul tools, almost no imperfections or bumps appear. At the age of nine, through an outstanding recommendation from one of our school's top students, he became an apprentice in my soul tool repair shop. In less than a year, he raised his soul tool master level to level two, demonstrating exceptional talent.

Therefore, I earnestly request Dean Qian to allow Huo Yuhao to join the Soul Guidance Department of Shrek Academy for further studies, and to ask him to take over the experimental project I left in Experimental Zone Eleven at an appropriate time.

[Your arrogant and worthless student, Ning Ge.]
