Chapter 56 Experiment

Gino had planned to attend school for a day.

Unfortunately, his plans were interrupted by a phone call before he even reached the teaching building.

"The experiment is about to begin, you'd better come over quickly."

Lex sounded excited on the other end of the phone, but after telling Gino to come quickly, he hung up.

"That's really efficient." Gino smiled helplessly. His cheap brother never dragged his feet when doing things; he could only be described as quick to act.

After parting ways with the three, Gino drove his silver supercar at breakneck speed to the factory.

I walked into the elevator with practiced ease and pressed the button for the basement level.

However, unlike before, this huge space was filled with busy people, and countless expensive-looking biological devices were scattered throughout the base, connected by numerous pipes. At the very center of the base sat a huge solution tank.

"Mr. Gino, the president wants to see you." A researcher came running up, panting.

"What is Lex doing?"

Gino glanced at the biological can, inside which a humanoid creature was being submerged in green liquid. It had black hair and a tall stature, and upon closer inspection, one could see that its face bore a four or five-point resemblance to Clark.

Gino didn't know how Lex got Clark's DNA, but his brother had gotten his hands on it anyway, and judging from the clone's development, the experiment might have started a long time ago.

The experimenter's explanation interrupted Gino's observation: "Mr. Lex is making final adjustments. We plan to shut down the entire town's power supply to operate this bio-device, allowing those magical stones to further stimulate the subjects' bodies, transforming their genes and activating their biological abilities."

"Stop, stop, stop." Gino interrupted the researcher, sighed, and said, "Take me there."

Lex smiled, his face full of smugness: "Well, I still have you, you silly little brother."

"I trust you to clean up this mess for me."

Gino sighed and said, "I just hope you don't end up in jail for illegal experiments."

Lex retorted sarcastically, "Even if I go to jail, I'll stay in the best single deluxe room and identify you as my accomplice."

Gino rolled his eyes. This really was his good brother.

While the two brothers bickered, Lex completed the final adjustments.

Lex took a deep breath and suppressed his nervousness.

He clapped his hands to attract everyone's attention.

"Attention everyone! The experiment will begin in one minute."

Time ticked by, and as the hands moved, Lex swung his arm: "Turn on the switch!"

"Bang!"

The deep red metal button was pressed, and the next second, countless light blue currents flowed through the pipes into the central tank.

The lightning crackled and popped, and the green stone inside the jar emitted a dazzling green light as the current ignited, before breaking down into countless green fragments that adhered to the clone's skin inside the jar.

The originally yellow skin turned increasingly pale, and under the modification of kryptonite, the body convulsed continuously, causing cracks to gradually appear on the surface of the skin.
