Chapter 404 Forging Divine Weapons
Chapter 404 Forging Divine Weapons
Nidave.
The kingdom inhabited by dwarves in the Nine Realms.
From a distance, this planet looks like countless dark chocolate balls scattered unevenly across the vast universe.
The dwarves, the race most skilled in forging in the Marvel Universe, live on these black chocolate balls of varying sizes.
Since the birth of Asgard, the dwarves have been crafting equipment for Odin, the king of the gods.
The weapons of the Asgardian warriors, and Thor's hammer Mjolnir, were forged by these clever and tenacious dwarves.
Of course, everything in the world is based on the exchange of interests, and this principle applies equally to the universe.
The dwarves work for Odin, and in return, Odin provides them with shelter and food in the name of the World Tree and the King of Gods.
Just as no species is perfect, the dwarves possess the most advanced forging technology, but at the same time, their strength can be described as utterly pathetic. Any slightly stronger race in the universe could easily kick them if they happened to pass by.
"Halt!"
At the entrance to Nidavellir, two Asgardian warriors gripped their spears warily, watching the three figures approaching from afar.
They are the warriors who guard this space and protect the dwarves; naturally, they would not allow outsiders to enter.
However, three figures approached at an extremely fast speed. Just as the Asgardian warriors were considering whether to call the police, a loud, boisterous shout rang out from not far away: "Don't get excited, it's me!"
The two warriors squinted and peered out, and then they saw the eldest prince Thor, clad in silver armor and a red robe, grinning foolishly as he led two strangers toward them.
"The eldest prince."
As the great heir of Asgard, Thor's reputation was immense, and the two soldiers immediately saluted him.
"Hello, these are my two friends. They and I are going in to find the dwarves to forge weapons."
"Your wish."
The two soldiers respectfully stepped aside.
They naturally couldn't stop Thor.
So the three of them entered this star field.
As Odin's child, Thor, who had always been warlike and had traveled around since childhood, naturally visited the Dwarven kingdom quite often. With a clear goal in mind, he led Gino and Tony toward the farthest and largest planet.
"There lives Aetre, the king of the dwarves, who is also the most skilled blacksmith among all the dwarves. His planet possesses the most powerful blacksmithing equipment."
Thor seemed very excited. After all, a weapon that Gino could use to forge materials couldn't be a bad weapon. Thor even had a hint of anticipation in his heart.
What? You mean Mjolnir?
We're really not familiar with that.
"Let's go then, don't waste time."
Gino raised his hand and gently grasped at the distant planet.
The next second, Thor and Tony, who were originally far apart, felt a tremor in space. Before they could react, they suddenly appeared on the planet.
"Aitley, my brother, where are you?!"
Upon stepping onto this asteroid filled with steel and steam, Thor started yelling and screaming like a monkey in a zoo.
Gino also surveyed the planet inhabited by the dwarf king.
It was filled with smoke and burning flames.
Even the ground beneath their feet was filled with the aura of scorching flames.
Under the glow of the fire, dwarfs, each three or four meters tall, were working at their desks.
Tony stared blankly at the group of tall "dwarfs".
"Not a buddy?"
Tony stared blankly at Thor and Gino: "Are these dwarves?"
What does his 1.8-meter height even mean?
Are they dwarfs?
"Well, what I mean by dwarves is that their body proportions are disproportionate; look at their limbs."
Gino explained to Tony, who, after careful observation, quickly discovered that although these dwarves were tall, their limbs were incredibly thick.
"Shut up!"
A rough voice rang out from afar, and then Tony saw a dwarf, dressed in tattered clothes—or rather, tattered clothes from living in a high-temperature environment—walking towards them.
"Thor, you little bastard, what brings you to me?"
The guy Thor called Etri was looking down at Thor with a surprised expression.
He didn't show much respect for the eldest prince. If it were Odin, perhaps the Dwarf King would have been more respectful, but Thor was clearly not qualified.
Moreover, these dwarves earn their living through their skills, and strength equates to dignity.
The Dwarf King knew Thor, the prince of Asgard, very well. In Thor's simple mind, there were only three things: fighting, sleeping, and good food.
Moreover, since Thor acquired Mjolnir, he has basically no longer needed a new weapon, so he hasn't been here for a long time.
"Hehehe, Etri." Thor gave the dwarf a fawning smile and said, "I haven't seen you in a long time, and I've missed you."
Etri sighed, shook his head, and looked at Thor, saying, "Just tell me the truth, your politeness won't work on me."
"You know, we dwarves are never polite."
"Hehehe." Seeing that his plan had been exposed, Thor scratched his head awkwardly and said, "Actually, it's like this."
Thor patted his empty waist and said, "As you can see, I didn't bring Mjolnir with me today."
"That's right."
Etri nodded, also somewhat curious about Thor, who always carried his hammer with him.
"As for why I didn't bring Thor's hammer, the reason is simple: it's broken."
Silence, a brief silence, then King Eitel's voice suddenly rose in a shrill tone: "What did you say? Destroyed?!"
The Dwarf King could hardly believe his ears. After all, he had personally forged Thor's hammer, using the core of a collapsed planet and Uru metal, a specialty metal of Asgard imbued with a great deal of magic and energy.
It is so sturdy that it can withstand the impact of half a planet.
But now, this thing has been destroyed?
"Who did this?"
The Dwarf King was curious; he wanted to know what kind of being would have the power to destroy Thor's hammer.
"Uh, he's right next to me."
Thor turned slightly to the side, and then the dwarf king saw a handsome blond boy.
"You?!" A look of surprise flashed in the Dwarf King's eyes. If he was not mistaken based on his experience, the other party should be a Midgardian.
How could an Earthling destroy Thor's hammer?
This absurd fact left him somewhat bewildered and at a loss.
"That hammer is my favorite hammer."
Ai Cui looked regretful and sad.
"Alright, Dwarf King, don't be sad. A better opportunity is now before you."
