Chapter 364 Let's Talk About It
Tired, exhausted.
Loki didn't know how to describe his current feelings.
It's like being exhausted after a major battle.
He discovered that he couldn't extract a single bit of magic from him.
"Huff huff"
The young man, panting heavily, stared intently at Tony floating in mid-air, and gritted his teeth, saying hatefully, "If you've got the guts, come down and fight me!"
He was furious. In the past twenty minutes, no matter what magic he used, the damned Tin Man always used his old trick of flying through the air to escape the magic attacks.
"Go down?"
Flying through the air, Tony waved his hand while controlling his armor: "I know exactly where I stand."
The flexible and mobile turret avoids close combat.
"Okay, okay!"
Loki clenched his fist, glanced deeply at Tony in the air one last time, and said ruthlessly, "You'd better sleep with one eye open."
After saying this, Loki glanced warily at Gino, who stood with his arms crossed, seemingly watching the scene unfold, before raising his head and shouting to the sky, "Heimdall! Take me back!"
Before he finished speaking, a thick, dazzling, seven-colored beam of light, as magnificent as a waterfall, descended from the sky, tearing through the night and covering Loki.
"That beam of light... what a powerful energy fluctuation!"
Inside his armor, Tony stared in shock at the energy reactor displayed on the screen.
"This thing is the Rainbow Bridge. You can think of it as a large-scale space teleportation device in Asgard. It's a kind of advanced technology of theirs."
Upon hearing Gino's explanation, Tony descended from the sky, his visor opening to reveal a shocked expression: "A teleportation device! I never imagined Asgardian technology was this advanced."
"They are at least a race that existed thousands of years before humans on Earth, which is quite normal."
Gino didn't care; his gaze fell on a house not far away.
Inside the café, Thor had already changed out of his ancient European-style battle dress and put on a casual short-sleeved shirt.
At that moment, his white shirt was covered in hamburger grease stains, as if he had been swept into a deep pit by a gust of wind. His big eyes gazed expectantly at the sky: "I saw it! That was the Rainbow Bridge, the Rainbow Bridge!"
Thor shouted excitedly, waving his arms towards the sky, "Heimdall, I know you're watching. I know I was wrong now. Take me back!"
He shouted loudly, but no one answered him.
All that was there was Tony with a puzzled look on his face and Gino with a blank expression.
"Rainbow Bridge".
Thor lowered his head helplessly. He realized that after he was banished, his father Odin must have instructed Heimdall not to come to his aid.
Otherwise, given his relationship with Heimdall, the latter wouldn't have stood by and watched him remain on Midgard.
At this moment, Thor's legs gave way and he collapsed to his knees. Negative emotions overwhelmed him like a tsunami, and he fell into a state of nihilism.
It was all his fault; he killed his father.
Just by looking at his bewildered eyes, you could tell how much pain Thor was in.
It has to be said that this guy is just as foolish as Clark in judging people; they both easily trust others and have little cunning.
The only difference is that Clark is much more handsome than Thor.
At that moment, Fury, who had followed Thor out, also entered the pit.
Without armor or superpowers, he could only resort to the most primitive method, laboriously using his two legs to jump down into the pit.
"Mr. Gino."
Fury, his face dark, crept up to Gino and whispered in his ear, "Are you sure this guy's normal?"
Honestly, Thor's performance was constantly shocking Fury, and he began to wonder if this exiled Asgardian prince was not smart enough and was thus banished to Earth by the Asgardian god-king.
After all, this guy is really silly; he even smashed his coffee cup on the ground and shouted, "Another cup, please!"
"That's where you went wrong, Fury," Gino joked with a laugh. "You looked down on someone when they were down on their luck, and now it's too late to try and get on their good side after they've risen to power."
The boy said with exasperation, "Use your rusty brain! As Odin's eldest son, Thor was banished by his father. Would his former followers abandon this eldest prince?"
Listening to Gino's words, Friedon felt enlightened.
"You're right!"
He clenched his fists, looking as if he had just realized something.
Fury, who had initially looked down on Thor, immediately changed his tune and walked eagerly toward Thor, saying comforting things like, "Don't be sad, people live for good food. I'll take you to eat Brazilian barbecue."
"Looks like things are settled?"
Tony was a little curious.
He looked at Gino, seemingly intending to ask him what he was going to do next.
"I think so." Gino pinched his chin, but the next moment, the boy seemed to sense something, and his figure flickered and disappeared from the spot, leaving Tony with a bewildered look.
"Wait, do these guys all like to just disappear on the spot without a second thought?" Tony muttered to himself. "Jarvis, get the space teleportation device project on the agenda."
Sooner or later, he'll also disappear on the spot.
hum~
An out-of-control spacecraft roared across the pitch-black night sky before crashing into the vast Gobi Desert at incredible speed, kicking up clouds of sand.
The damaged aircraft emitted billowing black smoke, resembling a magnificent ancient beacon fire from a distance.
"Whoosh!"
A figure appeared out of nowhere in front of the wrecked aircraft.
The boy lowered his eyes and stared at the smoke-filled aircraft, then his eyes shot out a scorching, burning gaze.
Two beams of light followed his gaze, splitting the once tightly sealed iron gate in two, turning it into scrap metal.
"Clang!"
The falling iron block revealed the internal structure of the aircraft.
An unconscious driver sat in the head seat.
"You're still alive? You're lucky to be alive."
Gino looked at the unconscious young man and glanced at the business card on the man's spacesuit. The name was James. He wondered if the man was related to the owner of the Daily Bugle, the future Spider-Man's number one villain.
But none of that mattered. Gino casually made a phone call to notify the rescue team to come, while reaching out to tamper with the engine at the tail of the aircraft.
Then, on the engine, Gino saw several sticky lumps.
These things are like the wriggling slimes in Western chivalric adventure novels.
The sticky tentacles, like spider legs, support their movement.
Seemingly sensing the approaching creature, several slimes rushed towards Gino.
Faced with these fast-moving "slimes," the boy was not afraid but laughed. Others might not know what these things were, but he knew all too well the value of these little things.
"Hmm, let me see, blue, green, yellow, and black."
Gino's smile deepened as a fun plan formed in his mind.
