Chapter 343 Tony the Prayer

The flowing light is like a dream.

Bizarre and wonderful.

Tony Stark didn't know how to describe how he felt.

It felt like falling on a cloud, or like sleeping soundly on a cotton candy pillow – so sweet.

Strange images kept appearing and disappearing in my mind.

When I got a perfect score on my first test, I longed for my father's praise, but instead I was met with his indifference.

"I'm very busy."

He merely glanced at the report card without making a comment.

"That suits your character, Father."

Tony remained silent, harboring these thoughts.

Then, a second later, as if a long time had passed, he appeared at his home on Christmas Eve.

I had another argument with my father because I slept in late, but that was the last time.

No, don't.

As if anticipating what the next scene would be, Tony struggled frantically but could not escape the bizarre, nightmarish scene.

There was a knock on the door, and the butler, Jarvis, brought devastating news: his father and mother were both dead.

"No, no!"

Like a dazed mind after a thrilling battle, Tony suddenly opened his eyes, his back soaked as if drenched by rain.

"You're awake."

A gentle voice sounded in my ear.

Consciousness returned to the brain, and the eyes looked around.

Tony finds himself inside a huge cave.

Torches hanging on the cave walls dispelled the deep darkness, illuminating the faint outline of the Mediterranean Sea.

A man in a white lab coat sat on a dilapidated table fiddling with something. He glanced at Tony and then explained, "Good news, you're not dead."

"Bad news, you've been kidnapped by these thugs."

"What?"

Before Tony could react, he heard a commotion coming from outside the cave.

A group of armed men wielding cheap AKs rushed in like a gust of wind. The leader grabbed Tony, holding him like a chick, with a sinister grin on his face, and said something Tony couldn't understand.

"What are they saying?"

Tony looked bewildered, while the person in the white coat nearby relayed the message: "They said they want you to build a nuclear weapon for them."

"They want to use the nuclear weapons you built to destroy America."

Okay, it's like a tired, overused movie plot: every villain is against the wise and mighty United States and wants to destroy it.

Tony, true to his American patriotism, tilted his head back and said arrogantly, "You want me to build weapons for these kidnappers? Tell them!"

Stop dreaming!

Stop dreaming!

Ethan looked at Tony, who was nearly submerged in the water tank, with a mixture of sympathy and sadness on his face.

"If you keep being stubborn, they really will beat you to death!"

After all, this isn't the world of capitalism, and Tony's Franklin doesn't have superpowers.

In such a backward and impoverished place, only force can be considered power.

"Cough cough cough!"

Tony, his neck being choked, looked disheveled. He shook his wet hair and spat out well water.

Tony's head, feeling suffocated and dizzy from lack of oxygen, struggled to think. It told him that the most important thing now was to survive first, and then figure out a solution.

"Alright, alright!" You don't intend to die here; he still has revenge to take.

So, the first priority is to survive.

"Hahaha!"

When Ethan relayed Tony's attitude to the kidnappers, they laughed and released Tony, then held up three fingers to indicate that Tony only had three weeks.

As for the materials, they will help Tony find them.

Watching the group of vicious kidnappers leave, Tony slumped against the wall, rubbing his head in frustration.

He had no intention of helping a group of killers make a nuclear bomb.

"On my own"

Tony looked up at Dr. Ethan.

Well, even if we add each other, the two of us can't get anything done.

"What should I do?"

This question kept nagging at Tony's mind, to the point that he became so agitated that he started to stomp on the sand beneath his feet.

The lack of signal and communication equipment means the elimination of access to technological assistance.

"What should I do?"

Tony was somewhat helpless. Did he have to believe in magic?

"Wait, magic?"

When the thought flashed through his mind, Tony suddenly opened his eyes wide.

Although I don't understand magic, that man does!

Tony will never forget the scene when he first met the other person!

The man swaggered into his party, his arrogant aura and mysterious charm even making Tony feel inferior for a long time.

He used to be indifferent to handsome men, since they weren't as rich as him.

But it wasn't until he met that person that Tony understood what it meant to be handsome and powerful—it was like a game-changer for him.

Blocking the chaotic thoughts in his mind, Tony reached into his pants pocket and pulled out a gold card.

That was given to him by the blond boy back then.

He always treasured this thing and carried it with him, taking it out to ponder some questions whenever the night was quiet.

Now, it's finally being taken out of my pocket again.

Tony's expression was serious, his chin taut with his small mustache, as he held the business card in his hand with a solemn look.

Then, Dr. Ethan saw Tony suddenly kneel on the ground like a fanatical religious man, muttering to himself over the gold card.

"Great Gino Luther, protector of billions of universes (derived from Gino telling Peter that he is protecting his own universe, and Peter telling Tony about it), King of the Kingdom of God (derived from Gino descending from heaven and appearing before the people, thus being revered as a visitor from the Kingdom of God), I sincerely beg for your arrival, I long for your help."

Listening to Tony recite these prayer-like words with such piety and practice, Dr. Ethan, the unfortunate fellow who had been locked in the cave for three years, looked helpless. He had thought that Tony was a scientist and should believe in science.

But unexpectedly, in their desperate situation, when they needed to rely on themselves the most, the other party actually went to consult the gods?!

This bizarre move left Ethan speechless, and his admiration for Tony crumbled like an avalanche.

but,

Suddenly, all around became quiet.

It's like the noisy break time of childhood suddenly becoming quiet. In Eastern terms, it's like a deity passing by; in Western terms, it's like death walking by.

Regardless, Ethan was suddenly horrified to find that he could no longer hear his own breathing.

It was as if an invisible giant hand had easily silenced all the sounds.

Then, Ethan suddenly saw a figure appear where Tony Stark was kneeling.

Yes, it was as abrupt as if it had appeared out of nowhere.

The man stood quietly in front of Tony, and the once dark cave became dazzling and radiant the moment he appeared.

"My God," Ethan said to himself, "So God really does exist?"
