Chapter 329 Falling from the Sky

To be or not to be, that is the question.

When faced with certain major events or difficult choices, the baseness or nobility of human nature will shine with their own unique brilliance in the process.

Similarly, the impression a person makes on others will determine how others respond to that person.

People despise those who are base.

People feel respect when they see someone of high moral character.

But in the end, only you can decide what kind of person you will become.

Now, a problem is facing these armed soldiers.

Facing that smiling boy who exuded a warm and gentle aura.

Will they raise their guns and shoot at each other, or lay down their weapons and follow him?

"Tell me your answers, soldiers."

Gino opened his arms, and as he raised them, a dazzling golden light shone down from the darkness, enveloping the boy like a pillar of light descending from the sky, giving him a mysterious aura.

Everyone looked at each other.

"Hold!"

A soldier angrily threw off his helmet, his neck stiff, and cursed at his comrades around him, "Those damned congressmen are sending us here to die!"

He looked up at Gino with admiration and said, "It was Mr. Gino who disregarded our offense and even gave us a chance!"

"My daughter and my children are his fans, and I've heard a lot of rumors about him."

The man released the safety from his rifle, then threw the weapon to the ground in a fit of despair, covering his face and weeping, "I can't shoot him!"

These words seemed to express the sentiments of all the soldiers present.

People are always like this, like a flock of sheep wandering aimlessly. When a leader steps forward, they will follow the leader.

The men's behavior was like a signal, or perhaps it carried the meaning of "the law does not punish the masses," as more and more soldiers dropped their weapons and stood there blankly.

Frankly, sending them to capture Ginobilis is like sending a six-year-old kid to take on Mike Tyson in his prime.

"My friends!"

Seeing the soldiers drop their weapons, Gino's smile grew even brighter: "Don't be sad or confused about your future. I assure you, you will all be safe and sound."

He raised his head again, and at the same time, the smile and gentle demeanor on his face vanished as if melting away, replaced by a murderous intent that enveloped the young man's handsome face.

His gaze passed through the Metropolis and looked far to the west, towards Washington.

People heard Gino say, "Someone has to pay the price for this, but not you guys!"

Before he finished speaking, the boy roared through the night like a jet fighter, leaving a heavy sonic boom that echoed across the sky!

Now, it's time to settle accounts with those shameless bureaucrats who have pledged allegiance to the vampires!

Flying through the night, the boy's originally azure eyes glowed with a scarlet light, making him appear as terrifying as a death god in the boundless darkness.

Washington.

Pentagon.

The president was sitting in an underground air-raid shelter, his blood-red eyes fixed on his staff not far away.

The other person was currently communicating with a general at the front lines via walkie-talkie: "What did you say? You're refusing to take action? Do you know that your actions are a betrayal of free America!"

The aide, a middle-aged white man, looked furious. He angrily slammed down the phone and immediately reported to the president, an elderly white man: "General Lott has refused to attack the Justice League!"

"Is that so? As expected."

The president remained silent, but a vampire sitting in a chair in the corner spoke up. This showed that the president's identity had not changed; he was still a puppet pushed to the forefront.

"Forget it, I wasn't really expecting him to be able to take down Gino Luther anyway."

The vampires sighed. They had discussed Gino with Lord Barney long before the operation began.

They also invited a professional psychological profiler to describe Gino’s characteristics.

The answers obtained were the words "selfish", "decisive", and "intelligent".

This can be seen from the fact that the other party founded the Justice League and has never participated in any trophies awarded by the US government.

The other party genuinely doesn't care about the opinions of the American leadership.

And just as he was pondering this.

boom!

It felt like some heavy object was stuck on top of their heads, causing the entire underground air-raid shelter to shake.

Stone chips flew everywhere, and tables and chairs swayed.

"What happened?"

"What happened?"

Fear was written all over everyone's face, and the light bulbs hanging above their heads seemed to flicker and go out because the circuit was affected.

As darkness enveloped the room, pairs of bloodshot eyes appeared in the underground air-raid shelter.

"All vampires, prepare for battle."

The leader of these vampires spoke in a somber tone, a sense of foreboding creeping into his heart.

It was as if his idea had been confirmed.

"boom!"

The thick cement was smashed through as easily as if it were tofu!

"Buzz!"

A figure stood in the darkness, the crimson light shining from Qi's eyes far brighter and more magnificent than all the vampires in the room combined.

"It's quite lively here. Are you having a party?"

Gino smiled contemptuously; his X-ray vision allowed him to easily see through the darkness and into the ugly faces inside these air-raid shelters.

"Are you going to attack all at once, or die one by one?"

The boy was met with a group of roaring vampires.

"roar!"

A vampire with its mouth wide open charged forward.

"Don't open your mouth so wide!" Gino smiled and gave the vampire a hot gaze into its mouth.

The extreme heat tore apart its mouth, melting it along with its head, turning it into ashes.

"Buzz!"

Gino didn't stop, continuing to manipulate his thermal vision to swing back and forth, launching a one-sided massacre against the vampires attacking from all sides.

Wherever the heat vision passed, it was like an old farmer cutting wheat with a sickle in a wheat field; the vampires exploded before they could even utter a scream.

"Hmm~"

Humming a tune, Gino crushed the head of yet another vampire, then snapped his fingers to cast a Heavenly Magic spell.

The warm light dispelled the darkness, but also revealed a terrified face.

"Oh my, isn't this the President?"

Gino smiled with narrowed eyes, but continued walking briskly toward the president, an old man with white hair who was crouching under the table with his head in his hands.

"Mr. Gino."

The president gave an awkward smile.

This was his second meeting with Gino.

The first time, the other side killed two generals right in front of him.

And this time, perhaps, probably, it's his turn.

"Okay, don't worry, let's have a press conference."

Gino grabbed the president by the collar and pulled him out from under the table.

"Then you can die in peace."
