Chapter 304 Peter and Stark
Chapter 304 Peter and Stark
late at night.
At midnight, the streets of New York City are filled with drunks and gangsters. This city, known as Little Gotham, only sheds its glamorous veil of daytime at night, revealing its corrupt and decadent side to the world.
Walking down the quiet, deserted street, Peter, wearing a red mask, shook his head as he passed through an alley that he used to fear the most.
As soon as Peter arrived at his apartment building, he saw Uncle Ben and Aunt May standing quietly waiting for him outside the door.
"Peter!"
When Mei saw the boy on the street, even though he was wearing a mask, she recognized her nephew at a glance.
"Why are you home so late? Do you know how worried Honda and I were about you?"
May strode forward and grabbed Peter's wrist.
"Hey, Aunt May, and Uncle Ben too."
Peter's awkward laughter came from under the mask. He scratched his head, pulled off the red mask, and revealed a smug face.
"Peter, where have you gone?"
Ignoring the smug look on Peter's face, Ben stared at Peter with a serious expression.
"Me?" Peter's eyes darted around. "I went to the neighborhood and bought a lottery ticket, and I won $700!"
As he spoke, Peter opened the backpack behind him, revealing a neat stack of colorful Franklin notes inside.
"Oh my God, Peter!"
When Aunt Mei saw so much money, a joyful smile appeared on her face.
With this money, there would be no need to work night shifts to earn that meager salary.
"Peter." Uncle Ben was also somewhat moved, but soon his expression turned serious. He patted the boy on the shoulder, signaling Peter to put the money away: "We need to talk."
He pointed to the park not far away.
Peter remembers his parents often bringing him to this park when he was a child.
The streets of New York were a bit chilly at night.
Braving the chilly autumn wind, Ben sat with Peter on a park bench.
"Tell me the truth, Peter," Uncle Ben turned and looked intently at the boy, "where did you get that money?"
"Lottery."
"Don't try to fool me with that excuse, Peter!"
Uncle Ben pointed to Peter's coat: "Your clothes reek of smoke and alcohol."
"You went to places you shouldn't have gone at your age, and that money probably came from there."
"So tell me, is it a casino, or some other place?"
Listening to Uncle Ben's words, Peter felt both admiration for the old man's keen insight and a sense of helplessness.
Uncle Ben is always so stubborn. Even though this money could be used to improve the family's conditions, the other party adheres to that set of old-fashioned, virtuous rules.
"I do not understand!"
Peter's anger and dissatisfaction suddenly erupted, and he excitedly pointed to the backpack on his chest.
"This money certainly wasn't obtained cleanly, but I didn't steal or rob it!"
"So why can't I have this money!?"
In a fit of extreme rage, Peter clenched his fist and slammed it down on the flagpole beside him.
"Bang!"
The steel flagpole dented with fist-shaped marks at a speed visible to the naked eye.
However, due to the darkness, Ben did not see the dented metal sheet.
"Peter, I hope you can return that money, son." Ben sighed, stood up, patted Peter on the shoulder earnestly, and then the old man walked out of the park.
He'd been that age himself, and he knew that Peter needed some private space to think things through more carefully.
Feeling the cold wind howling past his ears, Peter slumped back in his chair, dejected.
He didn't understand why his influence on solving his family's difficulties wasn't recognized.
What can I do then? Drop out of school and work?
Putting aside my uncle, Aunt Mei alone would kill me!

It has to be said that high school students are prone to being sentimental and having volatile tempers.
"Sometimes all you need to do is look at the problem from a different perspective or ask others for help."
A familiar voice sounded from behind.
Peter turned around with delight and saw the blond boy sitting on the swing not far away, dressed in a black suit.
"Mr. Gino!"
Peter's voice was full of surprise: "I've been looking for you these past few days, but I don't have your contact information."
He strode forward and stood respectfully behind Gino, his excitement making him somewhat incoherent as he asked, "Can you tell me how to become a superhero?"
"But isn't your current worry about helping your family solve their problems?" Gino swung on the swing, glanced at Peter, and laughed. "I watched your match in the ring, and to be honest, it was pretty bad. No technique, just brute force."
"You...you were there too?"
Peter found it hard to believe, but considering the opponent's mysterious strength, he still believed that Gino had indeed watched the game.
"But what should I do?" Peter sighed. "I have no connections, and big companies won't hire summer workers."
The more he talked, the more distressed he became, and Peter reached out and covered his hair with his hands in frustration.
"So here I am, Peter." Gino stood up with a smile and patted Peter on the shoulder. "You know, I admire you."
"Mr. Gino, I... I really don't know how to thank you." Peter found it hard to believe that what seemed incredibly difficult to him was so easy for this man.
"Yes, Peter."
Gino gazed at the night sky and pointed to the tallest building in downtown New York City.
"Do you see that building?"
Peter looked in the direction Gino was pointing and saw a city towering above the dimly lit city, a city even taller than the other skyscrapers.
The huge Stark Industries sign hanging on the high-rise building shone brightly.
"Stark Industries." Peter's eyes widened. As an engineering student, no one was unaware of the name Stark.
"So Peter." Gino snapped his fingers, his hands outstretched, and as the snap echoed in the air, the surrounding scenery seemed to sway and distort like flowing water.
When the surrounding scenery stabilized again, Peter was surprised to find that they were standing on a huge outdoor swimming pool, with a panoramic view of New York City in the distance.
"what!"
"My God!"
"Where are the security guards?!"
Peter looked around and realized he had stumbled into a pool party.
Countless women stared in horror at the sudden appearance of Peter, their eyes filled with astonishment.
Peter looked at the women,
Everything he saw was white and huge, making Peter stare wide-eyed, unable to move an inch.
"Calm down, girls!"
Stark, surrounded by women, struggled to stand up from his swimming ring.
Stepping into the warm water of the pool, he saw the blond boy standing behind Peter.
Swallowing hard, Stark cautiously asked the woman beside him, "Can you see the blond boy standing behind that boy?"
"A blond boy?" The black model looked behind Peter in confusion, then shook her head and said, "I didn't see him."
"Alright." Stark sighed, clapped his hands, and said, "The party's over, ladies. I'll give each of you a substantial sum of money. Now, get out of here."
