Chapter 223 is, Superb!

The morgue in Smallville.

Whether Eastern or Western, people have always had countless taboos regarding the deceased.

In the eerily cold room, several corpses were laid out in a row.

The freezer covered their faces with a layer of white frost, which, combined with their ferocious expressions before death, made them look eerie and terrifying.

"so."

In the silent room, a woman's voice slowly rang out: "Are these the people you saw in the prophecy?"

Clark ignored Louise, who was clinging to him like a leech, and stared intently at the corpses.

The purple-masked archer who left only half of his body in the town.

The man with the hammer in his chest looked like he'd been punched through, leaving a bloody hole.

There was also the headless corpse of a woman in red, and an old man in white robes whose neck was twisted 180 degrees like a pretzel.

All those people he had seen in the prophecy had died.

"That hammer?" Louise stared at the hammer in the blond corpse's hand. "Is that his weapon? Does it hold any clues?"

"I don't know, but I can take a look." Clark sighed, walked towards the corpse, and reached out to touch the clenched hammer.

He pried open those stiff fingers, and the hammer he had been holding slipped from his grasp and fell, crashing into the silent room with a loud thud.

"Clang!"

The sudden loss of the hammer made the two men nervous, and they looked around.

After all, sneaking into a police morgue is not exactly honorable.

But clearly, the town's police were busy dealing with the property damage caused to residents by the body falling from the sky, so no one was stationed at the morgue.

"call."

Clark took a breath through his nose to calm his somewhat agitated emotions.

He reached out and grasped the hammer handle. The handle, wrapped in the black hide of some unknown wild animal, was icy to the touch, and the hammerhead was also quite heavy.

"This thing?"

Clark frowned slightly, and with a little effort, he lifted the hammer head, which was originally on the ground, into the air as he raised his shoulder.

"Crack!"

Azure lightning flashed across the hammerhead and shaft. Clark was somewhat disappointed: "It's just a weapon, there's no clue."

Sensing Clark's disappointment, Louise was about to offer some words of comfort when a sharp static sound suddenly emanated from their cell phones, interrupting their conversation.

"Buzz!"

Like the grating sound of a midnight monster scratching glass with its fingernails, Louise frowned in pain.

"Thump!"

The incandescent light that had been hanging above their heads went out, and the entire room was instantly swallowed by darkness.

The freezing process failed, and a faint stench of decay lingered in the air.

In the darkness, human imagination is always incredibly rich. Louise was suddenly afraid; she was afraid that the corpses would suddenly jump up and pounce on her in the next instant.

Clark looked down at his phone, which was flashing a strange blue light. As the screen changed, it formed a short sentence: "This world belongs to us."

In a tense fear, Louise groped for and grasped that strong, reliable arm, her voice trembling, "What happened?"

.....

"What happened?"

This problem isn't just on one person's mind.

"At almost the same time, all networks and devices around the world were hacked."

"I have successfully defended against cyberattacks from unknown enemies, but with the global network paralyzed, our success will make this place shine like a firefly."

In the basement of the Luther Factory, the Singer attached to the Space Cube said coldly, "I suggest we evacuate immediately."

"Yes, evacuate."

On the lab bench, Lex, a muscular man, smirked as he looked at the room full of precious experimental materials in his lab.

How could he, being so clever, not know that time was extremely precious for evacuation, and there simply wasn't enough time to take everything with him?

"Bizarro!" Lex yelled towards the corner, urgently saying, "Take the Singer and get out of here!"

In a world where network communication devices are paralyzed, the fact that the singer was able to maintain communication is more valuable than any experimental material.

Bizarro nodded obediently, then asked in a muffled voice, "Okay, but when are we coming back?"

Lex's expression was somber; his dark green eyes swept across the laboratory. He said, "Sooner or later, we'll be back."

……

"We're back."

On the top floor of Wayne Enterprises, the tallest building in Gotham City, a man with a resolute face, dressed in a dark blue tight-fitting uniform with a "U" shaped pattern printed on his chest, gazes intently at Gotham City in the distance, his cape fluttering in the wind behind him.

The man spoke as if to himself, yet also as if addressing the woman in black armor behind him: "When I was very young, when Krypton was about to be destroyed."

"My father, Jor-El, and Lyra killed all their kind who attempted to escape to prevent them from becoming obstacles to my domination of the universe."

"I was the only one who got on that escape ship."

"That spaceship kept playing my father's last words to me."

He raised his arm and slowly clenched his fist: "Eradicate cowardice, and hold power firmly in your hands."

"I landed on a farm and met two disgusting farm couples, Jonathan and Martha."

A mocking smile flashed across the man's face: "At first, those two idiots wanted to sell me to an agency for a large sum of money."

"Until I was a few months old, I twisted Jonathan's finger off with my bare hands."

Six years later, I killed those two idiots.

"I'm stepping into the world,"

"Kill all my opponents and those who used me."

"Eradicate cowardice, instill fear."

He chuckled self-deprecatingly, squinting his eyes.

"The rest of the story is a bit boring." The man turned his head and looked up at the dark, full moon. "I conquered that Earth."

"But I want more."

He turned around, his gaze sweeping over his members: "Do you understand?"

"I will conquer this earth and bathe countless planets in my glory!"

"I will make my name resound throughout the universe, and let them cheer for my title."

"I am the superpower, I am the authority."

"Those who oppose me will die, and those who support me will share my glory."

His face, which bore a six-point resemblance to Clark's, was filled with a morbid and ferocious smile.

The surroundings were completely silent; no one dared to speak.

The crowd behind the man remained hidden in the darkness, allowing their leader to enjoy the moonlight alone.

They bowed their heads in respect, and the crowd said in unison, "Yes, Superba."

The man nodded in satisfaction, then looked up at the moonlight and said, "The grid did a good job; it paralyzed the entire network on this planet."

"But we still have a lot to do."

"The sun is in the way."

"I want to block out the sun."

The man slightly bent his knees, then, like a rocket, he created a shockwave from the ground, his figure leaving a deafening sonic boom as he streaked through the sky, flashing and breaking through the clouds.
