Chapter 155 The Vanished Spaceship and Wayne Industries

The flower basket sat quietly in front of the bedside table, wafting a faint floral fragrance.

Outside the hospital bed, Clark and Jonathan looked worried.

Lana and Chloe, who came to visit, also looked grief-stricken and solemn.

"How is the situation?" Gino, who had just arrived from the castle, took off his sunglasses. With his arrival, the director and other officials of the town hospital followed the boy with smiles.

Does the free and independent America lack human touch? Anyone who believes that is a fool.

"Mrs. Kent must be given the best treatment and doctors." Gino looked coldly at the dean beside him.

"Of course, of course." The dean nodded with a smile, while instructing his assistant to arrange these matters.

Masha lay quietly on the hospital bed in the glass room. Gino waved his hand, signaling the unrelated people to leave: "Leave, everyone. So many people will only disturb the patient's rest."

"Well then, Mr. Gino, please contact me anytime if anything happens!" The dean smiled and led everyone away, leaving only Lana and her two daughters and Clark and his son in the corridor.

Upon seeing his friend arrive,

"Gino, thank you." Clark walked over and patted his friend on the shoulder, quite moved.

"It's nothing serious, what did the doctor say?"

Gino didn't think much of it, but then he noticed Jonathan nodding gratefully at him. This honest and simple man could only express his gratitude in such an awkward way.

Clark sighed, looking worriedly at his foster mother on the hospital bed, and said, "The situation is not optimistic."

"The doctor said she was infected with some kind of strange virus, which caused her to be weak and powerless."

"Your mother couldn't have contracted the virus out of thin air; there must have been a reason."

The boy turned to Clark and said, "Think carefully, what exactly happened?"

"Where was Martha when you found her, and what was she doing?"

"What are you doing?" Clark tilted his head in thought, then suddenly clapped his hands as if he had just realized something. "I remember now, when I found Martha, she was in the barn, seemingly trying to help me hide the spaceship."

"That's the problem, it's because of that spaceship." Gino put his arm around Clark's neck and lowered his voice: "It's very likely that the thing was contaminated with some kind of space virus in space."

"so."

"Find that spaceship."

Clark nodded repeatedly, "I'll go right away!"

The big boy hurriedly ran down the corridor, leaving Lana and Chloe completely bewildered.

Watching Clark's fleeting figure disappear into the distance, Gino thought for a moment and decided to follow him to see how things would develop.

"Gino," Jonathan called out to the boy who was about to leave.

"Mr. Jonathan." The young man nodded politely, stopped, and looked at Jonathan with his eyes, asking what he wanted to do.

"Thank you so much for your help." Jonathan sighed and extended his arm. "I was wrong in the past. I shouldn't judge a group of people because of one person. I was too narrow-minded."

Jonathan was about to say something when, not far away, the doctor in charge of Martha approached Gino and Jonathan with the medical records.

"Mr. Kent," the doctor handed Jonathan the medical record, "your wife is pregnant."

A seemingly casual remark felt as heavy as a thousand pounds on Jonathan's heart, causing him to open his eyes wide in bewilderment.

"Aba aba?" Jonathan opened his mouth wide, unable to utter a single word.

The doctor handed over the medical records and left, but much later, the man belatedly gasped in shock.

"Pregnant? Martha is pregnant!?"

Jonathan couldn't quite describe his feelings—whether it was excitement, shock, or bewilderment.

Years ago, the hospital had already determined that Martha would never be able to get pregnant, but now, his wife is carrying his child, the fruit of their love!

Gino glanced at the medical record in Jonathan's hand, seemingly lost in thought.

"Whoosh!"

The rapid speed created a shockwave that kicked up dust.

Dewdrops cling to the grass and trees on the farm after a heavy rain.

Clark leaped over the broken barn door he had crashed into, his gaze sweeping over the barn.

The spaceship that carried me to Earth is quietly placed on the wooden board.

Clark slowly walked toward the aircraft, intending to investigate whether it was this aircraft that had infected Martha with the virus.

Step by step, as the distance closed, the spaceship began to tremble slowly at the same time.

"What happened?"

Before Clark could react, a bright purple halo appeared at the tail of the spaceship, and then it shot out of the barn like a sharp arrow.

"Bang!"

The wooden planks shattered, and the teardrop-shaped aircraft pierced the air, creating a sonic boom as it flew straight towards the west side of the town like a streak of light.

"Damn it!" Clark frowned, forgetting his daze, and strode off in the direction the spaceship had gone.

Although the small spaceship was not large, it was extremely fast. It glided over the town in just one second and roared into the quarry that Clark and Gino had visited before.

It seemed that the mysterious cave was attracting the spaceship; the aircraft smashed through the soil and entered the cave, then crashed into the stone wall.

With a loud "thud," the prismatic stone that was originally embedded in the spaceship's groove fell into the corner.

Without its power source, the once "frenzied" flight slowly came to a standstill.

The purple light at the tail extinguished and the car fell to the ground. Clark, who was following closely behind, rushed into the cave like a gust of wind with a tense expression.

"Found you!"

Clark crouched down and lifted the spaceship.

It feels heavy in the hand and smooth to the touch.

Clark slung the spaceship over his shoulder, leaped lightly out of the cave, and then swung his legs like a whirlwind towards his farm.

As Clark's body swayed, the spaceship jolted again, and some green dust drifted into the air as Clark ran, then entered the boy's respiratory tract with his breath.

As Clark ran into a dense forest, a feeling of weakness and exhaustion swept over him in the next instant.

"Hmm!"

My muscles are weak, and my legs feel limp, as if thousands of ants are crawling over my inner thighs, or as if feathers are gently brushing my feet.

"Thump!"

Clark, his eyes closed, suddenly fell into the jungle, his handsome face slamming into the mud. The spaceship he had been carrying on his back fell and splashed some mud into the mud.

Gotham.

Wayne Manor.

Bruce, Gotham's richest man, is very busy.

At night, he's busy being Batman, fighting crime, while during the day he's playing the role of Gotham's richest man, attending various social events and company meetings.

"This is today's to-do list for the company." Alfred, the Wayne family's loyal butler, dragged a stack of documents onto his desk.

"Still so many." Bruce, sitting on the sofa, gave a wry smile.

The weight of the document even caused the table to tremble slightly.

Bruce leaned down slightly and pulled out the red one from the colorful labels affixed to the lower right corner of the document.

That was a report about Wayne Industries' Smallville branch.

Bruce unfolded the documents, his previously calm brow furrowing slightly, his expression turning strange: "A werewolf attack? And a mysterious cave?"
