Chapter 116 Balsazar

The wooden living room floor, the overturned chairs, and the shattered walls suggest a supernatural involvement.

*Smack!*

Constantine took the lighter from the woman's table and lit a cigarette.

He exhaled a smoke ring, sniffing the sulfurous smell in the air: "The devil has abducted him."

Zatanna's face darkened. The girl stamped her foot anxiously, her high heels clicking on the floor. "What do we do now? We have to find her."

Zatanna didn't want to wake up the next day to find the streets filled with disgusting demons.

"Quiet down, everyone."

Gino raised a finger to signal the two to be quiet.

"Things haven't reached the point of no return yet."

"As long as you're careful enough."

Gino took a deep breath, and in the next instant, everything around him gradually became transparent in his vision, even returning to its most basic transparent form of lines.

Her gaze swept across the ceiling, and she saw that the woman's upstairs neighbor was a shut-in who was frantically showing off his craftsmanship in front of his computer.

Looking past the ceiling into the depths of the wardrobe

The lace material and some interesting little toys in the wardrobe spark the imagination.

Gino lowered his head, and soon, an old-fashioned coin in the corner of a crack in the floor caught the boy's attention.

"Found it."

Gino strode to the corner, bent down and took out a coin with a bronze hue and strange demon patterns engraved on both sides.

"What is this?"

Each profession has its own expertise, and specialized matters should be handled by professionals.

Constantine snatched the coin before Zatanna could. He was employed by Gino and had to prove his worth, otherwise what if his employer refused to pay him?

Constantine picked up the coin and examined it closely under the incandescent light above his head. A hideous demon's head was engraved on the brass surface.

Below the head was a short sentence written in Roman script.

"It's the demon Balthazar."

Constantine threw down his cigarette butt, stomped it out, and exhaled a smoke ring.

"One of Satan's henchmen planted among humans."

Do you know where he is?

"Hehe~"

The top floor of a skyscraper.

A group of men, women, and children dressed in suits gathered here.

A suit-wearing professional with an Indian-looking appearance stood on the conference room stage, speaking fluent English with a curry accent, and addressed the demons below: "Lord Mammon is about to descend to earth."

He spread his arms wide, his voice filled with fervor: "He will bring blood and slaughter to this world, and make everything fall under his control!"

"And as a faithful follower of Lord Mammon."

"We will manage this world for him!"

Before he could even finish speaking, the demons below erupted in excited shouts.

"That's right! Keeping these humans in captivity!"

"Let them become our food!"

"Tear their chests open and taste them!"

The demons' eyes glowed red, their gazes gleaming with a crimson light.

They can't wait.

"I hereby declare!"

Balthazar opened his arms.

"The ceremony begins!"

As Balthazar spoke, several red-eyed demons carried a woman bound with rope into the conference hall.

All sorts of demons stared greedily at the woman.

Her intense divinity made them want to pounce on her and feast on her right then and there.

But Mammon's reputation kept these demons from crossing the line.

They passed the object around, carrying the bound and unconscious Angela toward the podium where Balsazar was.

The constant bumps and swaying gradually roused Angela.

The air around us was thick with the pungent smell of sulfur.

She saw pairs of blood-red eyes staring at her.

"Let me go! Let me go!"

She struggled frantically, fear and despair spreading through the woman's heart.

She struggled desperately, but the strong hemp rope binding her feet prevented her from moving an inch.

Breathing quickened, fear spread.

The demons let out a low, sinister laugh in unison.

Everyone knew what this girl was about to go through.

The spear that brought Jesus to his death will pierce her belly, allowing the son of Satan to descend to earth.

"Bang!"

Angela was violently slammed onto the podium.

Let's begin!

Balthazar rubbed his suit tie and gave Angela a smug smile: "Don't worry, death is just a moment away."

He stretched out his index finger and scratched his palm.

"Tick-tock, tick-tock~"

Dark brown blood dripped from his palm onto the floor, and a strong smell of sulfur filled the air.

Other demons followed suit, cutting their own hands in the same way their leader did.

As the amount of brown, foul-smelling blood on the ground increased and even submerged the entire floor, a deep red pentagram magic circle slowly lit up on the floor.

"Pfft, cough cough!"

Angela watched in despair as the brown demon blood covered her ears and cheeks.

The body was boiling, burning.

An excruciating pain shot through her abdomen. Angela struggled to lift her head and was horrified to see a human head, its face obscured, struggling frantically inside her belly, seemingly eager to burst out of her body, much like an alien monster from a horror movie.

As the water level rose, the suffocating feeling from drowning made her body sway involuntarily. She longed to live, but the demons in the entire house clearly wouldn't give her a chance.

"Hold her down!"

Several demons grinned as they grabbed the woman's limbs.

Balsaza grinned and then picked up the white cloth that was placed on the table next to him.

Gently lifting the white cloth, Balthazar held the tip of a spear exuding a strong, icy aura in his hand.

A playful smile appeared on the demon's face: "The Spear of Longinus, the spear that killed Jesus, the unclean spear."

He seemed to be talking to himself: "Now, it's your turn!"

As the demon's murmur ended, the atmosphere of the hall, which had been filled with an evil aura, froze instantly.

A holy and benevolent aura suddenly descended upon this place.

"roar!"

The demons below the stage roared.

They sensed the presence of angels and became restless.

In an instant, accompanied by a flash of holy light, many demons in the room were swept by the ultimate holy energy and exploded into clumps of ashes and disappeared.

"Splash!"

With a pair of jet-black wings spread, Gabriel, clad in a white angel's robe, descended from the sky.

Balthazar braced himself against a black curtain to block the holy light, the radiant energy sizzling as it swept across the curtain.

"Damn angel, put away your holy light."

"You despicable one, surrender the Spear of Longinus!"

Gabriel stood barefoot on the ground, his blood splattering everywhere, seemingly terrified of the archangel.

Gabriel's face wore a calm yet serious expression.

She folded the pair of wings behind her.

"Oh."

Balthazar tossed the spear in his hand with a cold laugh, taunting, "Who would have thought that God's most loyal sheepdog would betray Him?"

"This is not betrayal; Father has been too merciful to mankind." Gabriel gently picked up the spear from the ground: "Those who have committed heinous crimes can enter God's embrace simply by praying and repenting."

"Too kind."

Gabriel repeated his words, spear in hand, as he approached Angela, who was unconscious and submerged in a pool of blood.

"It's time for the guilty to be punished!"

Gabriel's gaze was resolute. He gripped the spearhead tightly with both hands and thrust it down fiercely. The monster in the woman's abdomen seemed to sense this as well, and its struggles became even more intense.

The child of the devil is about to be born!
