Hogwarts: From Selling White Peppers to Becoming a God

Chapter 6 Do you want to witness a miracle?

Chapter 6 Do you want to witness a miracle?

Starting with potions, they combined production and research to establish a potion research institute, and then recruited Muggle scientists to help them research magic.

This is Murphy's general idea.

Compared to spells, which are too fantastical for Muggles to have any corresponding technological foundation, potions are much more traceable and can maximize the advantages of Muggle science.

He has completed the preliminary research on "making white essence in a non-magical way", which is the most appropriate starting point.

Having made up his mind, Murphy Apparated to Charing Cross Road and then had a taxi take him to the headquarters of the Drug Safety Commission.

To sell drugs in the Muggle world, one needs approval from the Drug Safety Commission, something Murphy knows nothing about and plans to consult first.

However, upon arriving at the committee's headquarters, Murphy was shocked by the British's inefficiency. A long queue had already formed in front of the consultation window, but the clerk was still drinking coffee and calling out numbers at a leisurely pace of about fifteen minutes per person.

Murphy hesitated for a moment, but ultimately decided to sit down and wait. He couldn't very well use magic on Muggles in public just because he didn't want to wait in line.

Without his phone, Murphy was quite bored. He looked around and noticed a magazine rack thoughtfully placed next to the waiting area. He picked up a magazine and started flipping through it, but his attention was quickly drawn to a report.

"Patrick Duncan - A top-notch pharmaceutical sales expert."

In the center is a photo of a slightly balding, thin man wearing a black turtleneck sweater in the style of Steve Jobs, gazing intently at the camera.

The article uses several hundred words to describe how Patrick Duncan rose from a junior salesman at a pharmaceutical company to become London's premier pharmaceutical sales expert.

The article mentions several of his sales cases. He is very good at grasping product characteristics and finding the best promotion plan, which has made great contributions to the pharmaceutical company he works for.

Murphy quickly scanned the article and immediately became excited.

This is the person!

He needs someone like this who knows everything about pharmaceutical sales.

Murphy simply tore that page out of the magazine.

After leaving the information desk, he found a phone booth, looked up the pharmaceutical company where Patrick worked in the phone book, and dialed the number directly.

"Hello, Blue Mountain Pharmaceuticals."

"Hello, is Patrick Duncan an employee of your company?"

"Yes, may I ask how I can help you?"

"I want to talk to him."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Patrick is very busy. If you have anything to do, you can make an appointment first, and I will arrange a time for you."

"If I make an appointment now, when can I see him?"

"Please wait a moment... I'm sorry, sir, Mr. Patrick has a meeting this afternoon and is going to France tomorrow for a project. If you want to see him, you may have to wait until he returns."

"I can't wait that long. I'll tell him I have a product that can increase his net worth tenfold; he absolutely can't miss it!"

There was a moment of silence on the other end, then the person asked, "Excuse me, sir, are you from a headhunting firm?"

Murphy noticed that the other person's tone seemed much colder. "You wouldn't happen to be someone from Black Mountain Pharmaceuticals, trying to poach Mr. Patrick, would you?"

"Well……"

"Beep beep beep..." The phone was hung up.

Gan!

It's astonishing how vigilant a mere receptionist is.

It seems that Blue Mountain Company values Patrick highly.

However, this precisely demonstrates that this person is indeed talented.

He dialed the number again.

"Hello, this is Blue Mountain Pharmaceuticals."

"Hello, I'm David Stick from Jelida Pharmaceuticals," Murphy lied outright.

"Hello, Mr. Stick, what can I do for you?"

"Our company previously owed your company a sum of money. My boss asked me to go to your company to reconcile the accounts and settle the outstanding amount. May I ask your company's address?"

The receptionist was a little puzzled. This customer sounded like a regular, yet she didn't know the address?

However, since they were there to return the money, there was no reason to refuse. "891 Greenford Road..."

"Okay, thank you very much."

After hanging up the phone, Murphy hailed a taxi and arrived at Blue Mountain Pharmaceuticals.

It feels a little ridiculous that a wizard has to take a taxi to get around.

However, he was not familiar with London at all, and knowing only one address was not enough for him to find the place accurately.

Secondly, he didn't really like riding a broomstick—especially after breaking his leg while using an old broom at home during the summer vacation of fourth grade, he had always been uneasy about the safety of broomsticks.

Until we develop flight magic and intelligent navigation, let's just make do with what we have.

Upon arriving at the front desk, Murphy glanced at the girl answering the phone. She noticed him too. "Hello sir, what can I do for you?"

"I'm looking for Patrick Duncan."

The receptionist gave him a wary look, unsure if he was the person on the phone trying to poach her boyfriend.

Do you have an appointment?

"No, your boss sent me to find him. Where is he?"

"I'm sorry, sir, Mr. Patrick is not in the office right now."

"Didn't he have a meeting this afternoon?"

The receptionist stared at him. "How did you know Mr. Patrick had a meeting this afternoon?"

"Okay, you win." Murphy smiled. This receptionist was quite wary; it seemed unlikely that she could fool him with her words alone.

"Actually, I just wanted to get to know you, beautiful lady. I apologize for trying to get your attention in such an awkward way. Please accept my gift as an apology."

With that, Murphy pulled his wand from his pocket. "Levitate!"

Patrick was not actually at the company, but at another pharmaceutical plant meeting with two employees from the Drug Safety Committee.

"Thank you for letting me know, Ms. Pani."

In the process of capturing the spirit and extracting thoughts, he also learned the other party's name.

"What...what did you do to me..." Pani was somewhat dazed.

"Don't worry, I only glimpsed a bit of your memories; I didn't spy on much. However, this brief and interesting meeting is coming to an end, and you probably won't remember it. All is forgotten!"

Half an hour later, Murphy arrived at the factory, only to learn that Patrick had already finished accompanying the inspection and returned to his office.

Gan!

Fortunately, I don't have to take a taxi this time.

Murphy Apparated back to Blue Mountain Corporation.

Murphy glanced at Ms. Pani at the front desk, wondering whether he should use Legilimency again, when he caught sight of a figure getting on the elevator.

I've finally caught you.

Murphy used the Disillusionment Charm to escape Miss Pani's sight, and squeezed into the elevator at the last moment before the doors closed, following Patrick upstairs.

Then, before the other party could react, he went into his office, sat on the sofa used for receiving guests, and dispelled the illusion curse.

As soon as Patrick entered, he saw Murphy sitting casually on the sofa, looking like he had been waiting for Murphy for ages.

"Who are you?" Patrick asked in confusion. Why hadn't his assistant informed him of the visit?

"Patrick?" Murphy placed a bottle of White Dense Essence on the table. "Do you want to witness a miracle?"
