Hogwarts: From Selling White Peppers to Becoming a God
Chapter 339 Escape Plan
Chapter 339 Escape Plan
evening.
Sirius Black picked up the wine glass on the table with his left hand and poured the wine into his mouth.
There was a newspaper on the table, but he couldn't bring himself to read it.
He fidgeted with the cup, his eyes fixed on the phoenix feather beside the newspaper, occasionally glancing at the wand on his right.
His former comrades were engaged in a life-or-death battle, while he idly read the newspaper.
This made him feel ashamed.
Have I really become weak?
Is he just using Harry as an excuse to shirk his own responsibilities?
Harry's current life is hard-won, and he tries to convince himself: are you really going to let that child go homeless again? Let him go back to that "home" that treats him like a freak?
What would happen to James and Lily's only child, who would lose both his parents and then his godfather?
Death is not scary; he even survived Azkaban. But if he were to reveal his identity as a member of the Order of the Phoenix, he would face separation... or have that boy flee with him.
Uh... running away together?
In an instant, Sirius suddenly realized that this was a very good idea.
Even more vivid images flashed through his mind: riding his own flying motorcycle, those Aurors or Watchers would never be able to find them.
Taking Harry on a journey... it feels almost like traveling with James...
Oh, we can also go find Lupin. That guy is probably hiding in some remote forest right now. Living with a werewolf for a while would be really fun!
Then take him on a trip together!
This is... amazing!
No, no, Sirius quickly shook his head, trying to banish the terrible thought.
You're just drunk. What responsible parent would become a wanted criminal and then take their child on the run?!
too crazy!
Harry is still in school. He's only in his third year and fourteen years old. What were we doing when we were fourteen?
Oh...it seems they've been practicing Animagus in various forbidden areas...
"No, no, this is too crazy..." Sirius muttered to himself, but his eyes grew brighter and brighter.
Come to think of it, what's so important about going to school?
Couldn't I or Lupin teach him enough spells to become a good wizard?
Would I rather have Snape turn Harry into a gloomy old bat?
Harry's interest in the Dark Arts might have stemmed from Snape becoming headmaster; that guy must have been promoting Dark Arts in the school!
So taking Harry away from school might be a good opportunity to help him escape Snape's influence.
Of course, a voice in his heart still reminded him that all of this was his unreliable imagination, and that this "wandering plan" that sounded hopeless was simply too irresponsible.
But after three years of being unemployed and a farmer, Sirius finally felt a surge of passion again.
"I can write a letter and ask Harry what he thinks first," Sirius muttered to himself. "Of course, we don't have to become wanted criminals. If Harry wants, we can move to another country, or just wander around."
"Yes, write him a letter, talk to him. Maybe he's not happy at school. He's so much like James, a natural adventurer. Maybe he'll like that adventurous life..."
Thinking of this, he almost couldn't wait to pick up his quill pen and quickly wrote a letter.
He stuffed the letter into the envelope, ready to have the owl deliver it, but then he thought about it and put it down again.
No rush, summer vacation is coming soon. We can have a proper talk when Harry comes back.
He put the letter in the drawer, and was thinking about how to talk to Harry about it when suddenly, the phoenix feather on the table burst into bright flames.
"SOS! Requesting reinforcements from all Order of the Phoenix! We're surrounded, requesting backup!"
……
"Ah, so it's ink..." Murphy swallowed the third Bean of Flavor. "Professor, this stuff shouldn't have any manure smell or anything, right?"
"As far as I know, there shouldn't be."
Dumbledore, without batting an eye, ate the ink-flavored Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean. "Now, answer my question, Murphy, who are you?"
He had asked Murphy this question at Nicolas Flamel's funeral.
But at the time, Murphy simply brushed it off with the statement, "The one in front of you is me."
Such rhetoric will not satisfy him at this moment.
"Actually, there's nothing to hide," Murphy said. "My situation is quite special, but it's not entirely beyond comprehension."
"What do you mean?" Dumbledore asked curiously.
"Let's put it this way, I'm from the future," Murphy said.
Dumbledore was startled and looked at Grindelwald sitting beside him. The latter nodded slightly. "This lad seems to be telling the truth."
That is indeed the truth, but it lacks some details.
"Such a thing is possible?" Dumbledore stared at Murphy in shock. "What exactly happened? How did you come from the future? How far into the future are you from?"
"It's not that far away, maybe thirty years later. For some reasons I don't know, I went back to when I was still in school."
"I see," Dumbledore seemed to understand something. "That's why you speak like a prophet, that's why I couldn't see your growth trajectory clearly, because you grew up suddenly, so you knew where I put the Philosopher's Stone... Lucas, is he one of yours?"
Murphy nodded, not denying it; at this moment, such matters were irrelevant.
"But I still don't understand why you know so much about Muggles?"
"Consider it your third question, Professor."
……
The moment Sirius grasped the phoenix feather, he felt as if a heavy burden had been lifted from his shoulders. While worrying about his old friends in the Order of the Phoenix, he also felt a surge of joy.
A long-lost sense of excitement filled his chest.
He gripped his wand tightly and vanished from the room in an instant.
As soon as his feet touched the ground, he rolled to the side and looked up to see another wizard pointing his wand at him in the same manner.
The next second, the two of them each flicked their wands, sending the Aurors behind each other flying.
They turned around and stood up back to back.
"Remus, I thought you got lost chasing rabbits in the forest," Sirius teased.
A smile appeared on Remus Lupin's slightly pale face. "I heard you're growing potatoes, Sirius. Have you gone vegetarian?"
"Ah, yes, I've been eating potatoes, radishes, and lettuce for three years, all grown by myself," Sirius said, before casting a Stunning Spell that knocked out another Auror.
"How does it feel to be a farmer?" Lupin used his armor charm to block an attack from the side for Sirius.
"Not bad, except it's a bit boring," Sirius said.
"Now you won't be bored." Lupin petrified a Watcher, then turned and exchanged a glance with Sirius.
"Let's have a big fight, my friend."
