Hogwarts: From Selling White Peppers to Becoming a God

Chapter 274 Those Who Have Had Enough of Living and Those Who Want to Be Resurrected

Chapter 274 Those Who Have Had Enough of Living and Those Who Want to Be Resurrected

Unable to obtain the Philosopher's Stone, the only place that could get the elixir of immortality was Nicolas Flamel. Six months ago, he arranged for Rahim to begin searching for Nicolas Flamel's hiding place.

“Master, we’ve found him,” Rahim said. “We noticed that several owls kept flying toward an empty mailbox in Devonshire. We sent people to keep an eye on it and finally discovered that it was Nicolas Flamel’s secluded place.”

"His original residence was invaded by unknown people a year ago, and he moved to another village."

"Give me his address," Murphy said.

"Please wait a moment, let me make a call to confirm."

Because wizards lack long-distance communication methods, even when they are carrying out such secret missions, the most convenient communication tool is still the Muggle telephone.

A moment later, Rasim returned to the raven's sight, looking extremely anxious. "It's terrible, Master! Just now, Nicolas Flamel's residence was broken into! Someone broke in!"

……

Devonshire.

As Murphy descended from the sky like lightning, an Auror was already waiting, holding a strange wand that resembled a directional antenna. It could broadcast high-frequency magical energy into the air, which Murphy used to pinpoint his location and land.

"Where is Nicolas Flamel's house?" Murphy asked as soon as he landed.

"It's that one over there," Auror said, pointing to a simple house with a small garden.

"I live right across from Nicolas Flamel to keep an eye on him. Just now, Commander Rasim called and asked me to check on Nicolas Flamel's situation. I went to the window and saw a wizard apparate. He broke through the defensive magic outside Nicolas Flamel's residence and broke in. He must be a dark wizard. I immediately reported to my superior..."

Before he could finish speaking, Murphy Apparated and arrived at the door of the house.

Sure enough, the door was open.

He drew his wand and pushed open the door.

This is a seemingly normal house, but both the decoration style and the furnishings inside look very old-fashioned.

The house was very quiet. There were no signs of the magical battle that Murphy had expected. There were no explosions, no messy broken things, and no bloodstains. It didn't even look like an intrusion.

Until he turned the corner, he saw an elderly man with white hair kneeling on the ground.

Beside the old man lay an elderly woman with equally white hair.

"Nico Flamel?" Murphy asked.

There was no response. If it weren't for the fact that Murphy's magical vision showed the person was still emitting magical fluctuations, he would have almost thought he was dead.

"Mr. Lemaître," Murphy called out to him again.

The kneeling old man seemed to only now realize what was happening. He turned around and looked at Murphy. "Who are you?"

"Murphy Darkholm." Murphy looked at the other person. "Your place has been invaded? Where is the intruder?"

"They've already left," Lemaître said.

"He's gone?" Murphy frowned. "As far as I know, he came to steal the elixir of immortality from you. Did he succeed?"

At this moment, the only person Murphy could think of was Voldemort.

He lost the Philosopher's Stone, and like Murphy, he was in the same situation. To be resurrected, he could only get the elixir of immortality from Flamel.

Murphy was just curious where he got Lemaître's address.

Nicolas Flamel's expression changed slightly. "Yes, that person took the remaining elixir of immortality from me and Perenaar."

Murphy looked at the other person. "You should know who that is, right? You just handed over the potion to him so easily?"

"I think, I can guess... Only he would be so desperate for the elixir of immortality, and only he would be so indifferent to life."

Murphy glanced at another frail old woman lying on the ground. In his magical vision, she was like an object, constantly radiating magical energy, but no longer fluctuating.

This is a corpse.

Voldemort killed Perena.

"Where did he go?" Murphy asked.

"I have no idea."

"Do you still have the elixir of immortality here?" Murphy asked again.

"That's all. That was the last stock, and he took it all."

Nicolas Flamel showed no sadness on his face, and his tone of voice was extremely calm, as if he was completely unmoved by Perenaar's death.

"You don't seem sad or angry. Don't you care that Voldemort killed your wife?" Murphy asked.

"Perenaar and I were prepared to face death, but we didn't expect it to come in this way," Nicolas Flamel said, his aged face expressionless. "However, now that death has come, nothing else matters."

"Don't you want revenge?"

Lemaître shook his head.

"If I ransacked your house, you wouldn't be angry?"

Lemaître glanced at him. "I've decided to leave with Perenaard. Once the arrangements are made, you can take whatever you need here."

Ok.

This person has probably really had enough of living.

Suddenly Murphy noticed Nicolas Flamel's arm; there seemed to be a little blood there. "Are you injured?"

Nicolas Flamel glanced at the wound. "He cut my arm before he left and took some of my blood."

Murphy understood, stopped arguing with him, and in the next instant, he Apparated to mid-air and vanished as lightning.

……

Little Hangleton.

A bolt of lightning ripped through the night sky, but it went unnoticed by anyone.

Church cemetery.

A large cauldron was set up again, and a figure dressed in black robes kept throwing various medicinal herbs into it. He muttered incantations, took a thigh bone from a grave and threw it into the cauldron, then ruthlessly chopped off his own left hand and threw it into the cauldron. Finally, he dripped a few drops of blood into a test tube.

The cauldron boiled, and a ghostly figure emerged from behind the black-robed man, coalescing into a pitch-black shadow in mid-air, causing the latter to let out a terrifying scream.

The ghost swarmed into the cauldron, while the black-robed figure lay on the ground panting for a while before standing up again, taking out a bottle of potion from the side and pouring it into the cauldron once more.

"I see," a person suddenly emerged from behind a tombstone behind him, "first the resurrection potion, then the elixir of immortality, right?"

"Who?" Quirrell looked behind him in alarm, but Murphy raised his wand and cast a petrification spell to freeze him in place.

"The resurrection potion should be used to build a physical body, so the elixir of immortality is used to add extra attributes, to make oneself live longer? Or to restore magic power to a greater extent?"

He went to the cauldron. "What if we add other potions at this point? For example..."

As he spoke, he took out several potions from his clothes and began pouring them into the potion: a sex-changing potion, a wolf-turning potion, a white cinnabar growth promoter, a bone-regenerating potion, a blood-replenishing potion, a magical cleansing agent, a swelling potion...

Before he could finish pouring, the liquid in the pot began to boil violently, and the entire pot was shaking as if it might explode at any moment.

Murphy quickly retreated, and as soon as he stepped back, the pot exploded with a bang.
