Chapter 203 Snake-like Voice

Tom frowned.

The Guidebook is frequently updated with quests, and most of them reward spells or certain knowledge, which are quite useful.

For example, he obtained the spells "Fragment" and "Blazing Flames" through the two tasks of "teaming up" and "helping companions".

He gradually discovered some patterns in the Book of Guidance.

It usually reminds you in the form of a task at the same time as or before the event occurs, and guides you to respond accordingly.

Usually, these responses yield good results for oneself.

Since the Book of Guidance has given me this task, it means that someone is indeed planning to beat me up.

Thinking back to that look he received at dinner, Tom knew what was going on.

Hmph, they're just a few self-proclaimed pureblood idiots.

He put his wand in the pocket of his left sleeve so he could pull it out at any time, and then, pretending to be nonchalant, went down to the underground corridor.

Sure enough, several young wizards were leaning against the walls on both sides of the corridor, looking over with ill intent.

Malfoy, Crabbe, Goyle, Pansy, and a third-year student, Drian Pursey, who is Slytherin's Chaser, whom Tom recognizes.

Excluding Pansy, there are four enemies here, the most troublesome of whom should be Derian.

That's it?

Tom sneered inwardly and stepped forward without fear.

"Halt, Mudblood!" Pancy jumped out. "You don't deserve to walk this path!"

Tom glanced at the girl. "Get out of the way. I don't want to hit a woman."

Arrogant!

That's too arrogant.

There are five people here, and this guy is still so arrogant!

Draco had to step forward. "Lucas, don't you feel ashamed to be hanging out with Potter and the others? Do you know you're tarnishing Slytherin's honor!"

"Slytherin's honor?" Tom scoffed. "What's that?"

"you!"

"You're pretty arrogant, kid!" Derian Pursey couldn't stand it anymore. He drew his wand. "I should teach you a lesson so you'll remember!"

Tom also drew his wand. "Want to fight? You'd better all come at me together."

"Beat him up!"

But Tom was already waiting. "Immediately imprison them!"

Suddenly, a rope appeared and tied Derian up, binding his hands and wand. If Professor Quirrell had seen this, he would have exclaimed that he was an expert.

The first-year wizards then realized what was happening and drew their wands, racking their brains for a spell to deal with Tom.

"Grinning widely!"

"His front teeth are like a big stick!"

"Legs stiffen and he dies!"

Tom dodged two of them, but was hit by the Leg Lock Curse, which bound his legs together and prevented him from moving. However, he was not particularly alarmed.

"Disarm you!"

Malfoy's wand was knocked away.

"Immediately imprison them!"

The big guy, Gore, was tied with a rope and fell to the ground with a thud.

"Fire is raging!"

This startled the young wizards. A strand of Pansy's hair was singed, and she was so frightened that she dropped her wand. She frantically patted her hair and screamed for help.

Crabbe tried to pounce, and Tom, startled, instinctively shouted, "Legs frozen, dead!"

With a thud, Crabbe fell headfirst to the ground, his face covered in blood.

"The dragon emerges from its cave!" Just then, Derian cast a spell into the air with his wand, which he couldn't aim at Tom. A large snake crawled out from the tip of his wand. It was nearly three meters long, spitting out poisonous tongues, and crawled towards Tom.

"Immediately imprison them!"

A rope appeared out of nowhere, but the snake easily dodged it with a twist of its body. Tom's action seemed to anger the snake, causing it to swim faster instantly.

"Hiss..." The giant snake raised its upper body, opened its mouth, and assumed a posture before attacking, as if it was about to pounce at any moment.

Tom held up the wand, but made no further moves.

The snake's body was too small, making it difficult for him to accurately target his opponent with his spells. The distance between them was also too close; the snake might bite him the moment he finished chanting the spell. Furthermore, his legs were locked by a leg-locking spell, preventing him from escaping.

"Bite him! Bite him!" Derian yelled.

Tom stared intently at the snake, and suddenly, a strange feeling welled up inside him; he felt he could control the snake.

Almost instinctively, he blurted out, "Get out! You beast!"

The snake seemed startled, suddenly went limp, and crawled backward.

Tom hesitated for a moment, then spoke again: "Go, attack Derian!"

The large snake immediately turned its head and swam towards Derian.

"Parsleyan!? He's a Parsleyan! He's commanding the snake!" Draco shouted in shock.

The giant snake had already reached Derian's side, raised its upper body, and opened its mouth wide, about to bite him. Derian was so frightened that he broke down crying and even wet his pants.

Tom quickly said, "Stop."

The serpent's fangs stopped beside Derian's neck, then it slowly retreated, still staring at the boy.

"Don't kill me, please, Lucas, don't kill me..." Derian cried and begged.

"How do we break the spell?" Tom asked, his legs still chained.

"Use, just use the spell to stop it..." Derian said.

Tom frowned. He hadn't learned the spell yet, but he decided to give it a try. He pointed his wand at his legs and shouted, "Stop!"

The stiffness seemed to lessen a bit, which encouraged him. He used it on himself twice more, and finally his legs could move again.

Tom breathed a sigh of relief and slowly walked forward. The large snake swam over as if it were his pet, accompanying him.

He approached Derian, grabbed the man's hair, pulled his face up, and made him look at him. "You want to teach me a lesson?"

"No, no, I'm sorry, Lucas, I won't do it again..."

Tom pulled the other man's wand from the rope and snapped it in two. "No, I think people do need some lessons to learn and to know what they should respect."

"Flames are burning!" He lit Derian's broken wand with his wand, then blew out the flames, leaving only glowing embers.

"Although I would love to leave a mark on you, so that every time you see it you will remember your stupidity and recklessness today, it seems that healing wounds is quite easy here. Fortunately, however, the memory of pain lasts a long time."

As he spoke, he suddenly pressed the red end of the broken wand onto the back of Derian's bound left hand.

"ah!--"

A heart-wrenching wail echoed from the underground passage.

Draco and the remaining young wizards trembled, their faces deathly pale.

When have they ever seen such a sight?

Tom's lawlessness and ruthlessness, stemming from his humble beginnings, deeply shocked the spoiled rich kids and instilled in Draco a profound sense of fear.

When Tom turned to him, he burst into tears, disregarding his image, "I'm sorry, Lucas, I'm sorry, I was wrong, I'll never do it again, please don't hurt me..."

Tom walked over and bent down. The snake lowered its head as well, flicking its tongue and staring at Draco with its orange-yellow eyes.

"Tell me, what is parsleyan?"
