Chapter 36 The Chase

The head that crashed onto George's car roof earlier appears to be the work of this spider.

Because a headless corpse was pierced through the two enormous spider legs on her lower body.

"We seem to have disturbed the lady's meal; she looks very unhappy."

After activating his spiritual vision, Erin could see that the human-faced spider was filled with anger and resentment.

If it weren't for the fact that "it" still had a piece of "food" that it hadn't finished eating, Erin estimated that the creature would have already rushed over and torn Erin and George to pieces with its blood-red legs.

"Damn it, lady! This is a man-eating monster!"

At Erin's words, George, who had recovered slightly, muttered and cursed, "Damn it, where did this monster come from? How did it get here?"

"Don't let me find out which lab is conducting these inhumane human experiments, or I will definitely shoot those heartless bastards."

obviously.

In George's mind, this spider-faced monster was a product of some laboratory.

They thought this monster was one that had escaped from that laboratory.

but.

Erin didn't believe that the human-faced spider-bodied monster in front of him was a product of some laboratory, because Erin, who had spiritual vision, clearly sensed a familiar aura of corruption and distortion from this human-faced spider-bodied monster.

It was an aura similar to the one Arlin felt when he took the potion, but far more evil and corrupt.

[A contaminant from an evil god? What the hell? How could such a thing exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?]

Could it be that this world has also been targeted by those damned outer gods?

As Erin cursed in her mind, she suddenly paused.

It seems like the Marvel Universe itself produces these kinds of evil gods.

It seems there really are a lot of evil gods.

For example, Dormammu, the ruler of the Dark Dimension, is a deity similar to an Outer God.

Those dark followers who worshipped Dormammu eventually seemed to have all turned into half-human, half-demon beings.

Who knows if it's been corrupted by an evil god?

·······

Although Erin's thoughts were somewhat scattered, he didn't think too much about the crisis at hand.

Soon, his attention was drawn back to the human-faced spider hanging upside down from the ceiling of the underground parking garage not far away.

After taking a deep breath, Erin said to George, "Mr. George, we should call for backup right away. I have a feeling that this monster is beyond our capabilities."

"And if this monster really is a product of some laboratory, who knows if it carries any viruses or anything like that?"

virus?

Upon hearing this word, George became even more anxious.

At this moment, Helen and Gwen are in their home above this underground parking garage. If this spider-faced creature really has some kind of virus, will her family be in danger of being infected by it?

but.

George's decades-long career as a police officer taught him that being anxious was useless.

With unwavering willpower, George forced himself to calm down and said softly, "My car has a built-in alarm system. I pressed the alarm button while reversing, and the police station already received my alert. In fact, even if you hadn't called, the police station would have sent someone anyway, but now I think it's better to call again."

Upon hearing this, Erin couldn't help but roll her eyes.

Okay?

So, the reason they asked me to call the police was just to give me a reason to stay in the car.

Is this because they're worried about my safety, or because they're afraid I'll cause trouble?

Despite internally ranting and raving, Erin quickly pressed 911 on her phone.

"Beep beep..."

Perhaps it was luck, but the phone was answered after a few rings.

Before the person on the other end of the phone could speak, George Stacy quickly said, "This is George Stacy, Deputy Chief of the 13th Precinct, NYPD, badge number xxxxxx. I've encountered a monster that appears to have escaped from a biohazard lab in the underground parking lot of 114 Seventh Avenue, Queens. We need heavy weaponry support from the police department..."

"Attention: This monster may be carrying an unknown virus. We request that support troops be equipped with protective suits and take necessary precautions..."

Upon hearing George Stacy's 911 number and identity, the caller immediately took the matter seriously. After quickly verifying the number, they contacted the police department's special operations unit.

"The request for assistance has been approved. Chief George, please take necessary precautions and await the arrival of rescue..."

It's unclear whether George's plea for help provoked the spider-faced monster.

Before the police officer on the other end of the phone could finish speaking, the monster suddenly shook off the corpse skewering its legs and charged towards Erin and the others.

Using the pillars and pipes scattered throughout the underground garage, the spider with human faces moved swiftly between the walls and the ceiling, its eight long legs leaving almost afterimages.

They approached the vehicle carrying Erin and his companions at a speed far exceeding Erin's expectations.

Look at those eight feet that easily insert themselves into the wall and cement pillar.

Erin's face twitched.

With the sharpness of those eight legs, George's Chevrolet was practically made of paper in front of it.

Those sharp legs could almost easily pierce through the Chevrolet's metal body and insert their spider legs into Erin and his companions' bodies.

"run!"

Seeing this, George quickly assessed the difference in strength between the two sides.

He tossed the pistol in his right hand at Erin, grabbed the steering wheel with both hands, and slammed on the gas, nearly blasting the Chevrolet into the air.

Boom~~~~

Amidst the roar of the engine.

The Chevrolet shot off swiftly like an arrow released from a bow.

of course.

George and his companions flew in the opposite direction from the spider-faced creature.

George had no intention of taking his beloved car to fight that spider-faced monster head-on.

George's underground garage is not small, but there is a limit to how big it can be.

An underground parking garage for parking cars is obviously no match for a network of roads on the ground.

The confined space limits the Chevrolet's performance and speed, preventing it from fully utilizing the engine's power.

But the spider-faced creature following closely behind Erin and his companions thrived in this confined space.

It wasn't long before.

The distance between the spider-faced creature and Erin and his group grew closer and closer.

If it weren't for George's superb driving skills, and his occasional drifting maneuvers in the underground parking garage that allowed him to shake off the spider-faced creature, the spider would probably have caught up with Erin and his group long ago.

After being deceived and tricked several times, the spider with the human face became increasingly angry.

After letting out an angry roar.

Its speed increased dramatically once again.

Sizzle~~~

At another bend in the road, just as George was drifting, one of the spider-like creature's legs, with lightning speed, pierced the roof of the Chevrolet...
