A certain broken Hogwarts

Chapter 5 Wallfacer Space

Chapter 5 Wallfacer Space

As his consciousness sank into his thought space, Irving pinched his arm, and the sensation of touch and pain felt incredibly real.

A thought struck him, and he saw his external self within his mental space.

The feeling was strange, like looking down from some unknown height, where you could clearly see yourself with a pensive expression, and the people and things around you.

"What's the use of this?" Owen pulled out his wand and toyed with it in his hand. The jet-black wand was straight and beautiful, and felt very comfortable in his hand.

Walnut wood, phoenix tail feather core, 12.5 inches long.

According to Ollivander, the wand chooses its wizard. This wand is rare and selective, and will help the wizard it chooses to overcome obstacles.

Of course, Owen might genuinely believe the wand is rare, given the rarity of a phoenix feather core. But being picky… Ollivander said he'd chosen Owen less than a week after crafting the wand; perhaps he had excellent taste…

Owen habitually twirled his wand quickly in his hand a few times, then pointed to a plate outside and said, "Yugardim, Leviosa!"

Saying I've already completed the theoretical knowledge of the first five years is no joke, but I only started practicing spells not long ago after receiving my own wand. If you've ever had the experience of secretly practicing spells as a child and almost blowing yourself up, I believe you'll be just as cautious when it comes to practicing spells.

Irving's levitation spell worked, but the plates outside didn't react at all.

"Spellcasting here can't affect the outside world, so this is just a space to practice spells?" Owen pondered, stroking his chin, his gaze fixed on the plate outside, a thought suddenly forming in his mind.

Wisps of white mist gathered and transformed into an identical plate in front of Irving, with several apple pie slices on it. But the original plate outside did not disappear.

Irving picked up an apple pie, examined it for a moment, and then took a bite. The soft texture and the sweet and sour apple sauce flavor were incredibly authentic.

"Things from the outside can be copied into the mind space, so..."

With a thought, another plate with an apple pie appeared beside him amidst the swirling white mist, followed by a third, a fourth... In the blink of an eye, countless plates were placed at his feet, each one identical.

"Not only can it duplicate one." Owen nodded, thinking of making them disappear, and the plates dissipated into white mist one by one. "This function can be used to practice potion-making, greatly saving materials... but it's not very useful to me."

If he wanted to study potion-making, he would have no shortage of materials to practice with, since Shafik's family was wealthy and powerful and also ran a large potion business.

"Wait, what if it were me?" Owen imagined replicating himself in his mind, and more white mist gathered together, eventually becoming another version of himself. Only the version of himself in front of him had a blank look in his eyes and didn't seem very bright.

Owen stared intently at his past self, his thoughts racing through a bizarre tunnel before he found himself on the other side. Looking up, he saw himself holding a magic wand, as if he had lost his soul.

"It seems I can only stay in one body at a time, unless I can multitask." Owen glanced at his palm, then copied a dinner knife and slashed a bloody gash in his left palm. The pain felt incredibly real, and red blood slowly flowed out, blooming like blood plum blossoms on the white ground.

Irving looked at his real self in reality; there were no wounds on his hands. He stared at the scars on his hands and imagined them healing. The wounds, wriggling in the swirling white mist, completely closed up.

He then looked at Harry outside, trying to copy him in, when a line of text suddenly appeared in front of him.

[Target detected to possess magical power, connection points required... Insufficient connection points, copying failed.]

Irving stroked his chin and muttered to himself, "Connection points have this function?" His gaze shifted slightly, and a palm-sized white rabbit appeared at his feet. This was Muse, which he always kept in his pocket.

However, the replica rabbit stood blankly at Irving's feet, its red eyes unblinking, like a lifelike rabbit doll, and didn't move even when Irving raised his foot to kick it.

If Irving hadn't confirmed that the rabbit was bleeding and breathing, he would have thought it was a fake rabbit.

After tossing the cloned rabbit into the space, Owen returned to reality. He glanced at the time and nodded slightly: "It seems that time flows at the same rate as outside. Its function is to practice spells and potions, making it a good place to train anytime, anywhere. This way, there's no need to go to the Room of Requirement."

"Most importantly..." Owen's lips curled into a smirk, "Injuries sustained inside this space won't affect the outside world. In other words, I can freely research those dangerous forbidden spells inside without worrying about hurting myself. I can even replicate more of my body to use as... test subjects."

The mental space might still have functions he hadn't explored, but the abilities he'd demonstrated so far were already very useful. Irving nodded in satisfaction; all those years of being a jinx hadn't been for nothing.

However, just how powerful is the upgraded version of the jinx constitution... to be honest, he had a bad feeling.

"Thinking Space sounds awful, let's just call it 'Wall-Facing Space' instead," Owen suggested, giving the space a new name.

In his previous life, Owen was a master magician who never lacked the drive to delve into new things. While tirelessly absorbing new magic theories and interesting ideas, he also kept up with the times and actively created new magic tricks.

He likes to lock himself in his workspace, letting his thoughts spark inspiration in solitude and silence. This state of complete absorption often lasts from several hours to several days. He loves this feeling of focused dedication and affectionately calls this state "wall-facing time."

With thought as the bone and knowledge as the flesh, in the romance of solitude, sparks of brilliant inspiration are ignited, ultimately giving birth to an elegant magical poem in the palm of one's hand... This is Kyrie Irving's unique wall-facing moment.

The space and the moment of facing the wall complement each other perfectly.

Before anyone knew it, the desserts on the table had disappeared. Dumbledore stood up again, and the Great Hall fell silent once more.

Dumbledore emphasized some precautions, such as not entering the Forbidden Forest, not casting spells in the corridors during breaks, and of course, not entering the right-hand corridor on the fourth floor.

Owen looked at Dumbledore thoughtfully, not missing the fleeting mischievous glint in his eyes behind those crescent-shaped spectacles. This was definitely a bait statement, but were you really so sure Harry would still do something reckless? He's a Slytherin now.

Well, Harry was sorted into Slytherin entirely because of the Voldemort fragment in his body; deep down, he's still a purebred lion.

"Whatever, I'm not planning on participating in Harry Potter's growth games anyway." He'd rather spend that time studying the combination of magic and sorcery.

The next part of the time involved all the teachers and students singing the school song together. Owen sang the song with great enthusiasm, using the tune of "Ode to Joy." In this chaotic singing, there was no need to worry about singing off-key and getting into trouble, since everyone was singing the same way anyway.

But Professor Snape, is that gloomy expression really because you want to cast the Killing Curse on Dumbledore? If you don't want to, just open your mouth.

Seemingly having heard Owen's complaint, Snape glanced in his direction... well, not at him.

In the blink of an eye, the music ended, and all the students stood up and walked towards their respective dormitories amidst the noise.
