A certain broken Hogwarts

Chapter 24 Gryffindor Buster?

Chapter 24 Gryffindor Buster?

"Owen, I heard you single-handedly blocked the entrance to the Gryffindor common room yesterday and taught them a lesson?"

"No, it's that Pikachu tricked them and got away unscathed, while those idiots can only follow behind and eat your dust!"

"So, how did you get Mischievous to behave? That's cool!"

"Those Gryffindor brutes are looking for you everywhere. They might have to flush their heads down the toilet to cool down their raging brains..."

"..."

The next morning, a large group of young wizards surrounded Owen, eagerly asking him about his exploits from the previous day.

As the saying goes, good deeds go unnoticed, but bad deeds travel a thousand miles. Owen's actions at the Gryffindor common room have already spread throughout the entire Hogwarts community.

Irving's lips twitched. He didn't want this kind of fame at all; it sounded like such a hassle. After finally getting rid of most of the people, he still had to face his friends' teasing.

"Keep up the good work, and maybe you'll get a title someday, like 'Gryffindor Buster' or something like that," Blaise Zabini laughed, never one to miss a chance to stir up trouble.

"I think this title is incredibly stupid," Draco yawned, his eyes slightly darkening. Last night, he was terrified again by the Blood Man Barrow on his way back, and had nightmares all night.

"Tsk tsk, Draco, you look almost as listless as Theo." Owen glanced at him, trying to change the subject. "I think you'd better find some time to apologize to Mr. Barrow. Why bother arguing with him?"

"Ha, he can't scare me. I just didn't sleep well." Draco raised his chin arrogantly, but his eyes were somewhat unfocused. "I have plenty of patience."

"Compete in patience with a ghost?" Daphne cupped her fair cheek in one hand, her azure eyes sparkling with laughter. "The Blood Man Barrow has been at Hogwarts for centuries, and his skills in scaring people are unparalleled... He knows better than anyone how to frighten people."

"I won't apologize for mistakes that weren't my fault." Draco said solemnly, but he looked like a child pretending to be an adult.

"Who gave you the right to speak so recklessly?" Blaise said. "Although nobody knows exactly where the bloodstains on him came from, you definitely rubbed salt into his wounds... Maybe it was his own blood when he died. He probably doesn't like remembering how he died?"

Irving shook his head. He knew some things about Barrow the Blood Man, but he didn't have a penchant for gossiping about others' private lives.

"But Owen, you really did do something big, it's just that it's too flashy for you." Daphne smiled slyly and brought the topic back on track.

"I was startled too." Harry nodded in agreement, then added, "But they are really impressive." Although he had a good impression of Gryffindor, he didn't have much of a relationship with them now.

"I was just passing by..." Owen shrugged, not wanting to explain any further. "I'm going to the library. Anyone want to come along?"

"Merlin's beard! You're going to bury such a wonderful weekend in the library?" Blaise exclaimed dramatically.

"Me!" Daphne picked up her schoolbag decisively, saying in a tone that was both a complaint and a joke, "I really don't understand how you guys study..."

She winked her beautiful eyes at Owen and said with a smile, "Looks like I need to step up my game too."

Daphne was also a bright and studious little witch who always performed at the top of her class, on par with Harry. However, she was overshadowed by Owen and Hermione, who were far superior to others.

"I'm going too!" Harry glanced at Draco; he didn't want to spend the next couple of days arguing with him about trivial matters.

Draco nudged his lips and swaggered off with Crabbe and Goyle, wandering around aimlessly.

"Alright." Blaise shrugged, looking at Theodore Nott, who remained at the edge collecting stones. "Theodore, wanna play a game of Wizard's Chess?"

Theodore opened his half-closed eyes and looked at him somewhat blankly: "Um... what did you say?"

……

Hogwarts Library boasts the most comprehensive collection of books in the entire British wizarding world, covering a wide range of topics. It holds unparalleled appeal for any wizard aspiring to delve deeply into the field of magic.

"Few students know what the greatest treasure they lose after graduation is," Irving sighed softly, looking around at the thousands of neatly arranged bookshelves in the library.

He wandered among the bookshelves, finally choosing a book titled "An Analysis of the Principles of Advanced Spells" and holding it close to his chest. Lately, in addition to practicing spells and transfiguration, he had also begun previewing sixth and seventh grade material, needing a lot of supplementary materials to fill in his knowledge gaps.

When he arrived at the reading area, Daphne and Harry were already seated there, along with Miss Hermione Granger. She was whispering something to Harry, and the two seemed quite familiar with each other.

Owen's expression was slightly strange. Could it be that the original trio could reunite? But where was Ron Weasley?

He sat down to the side, and Harry whispered, "Owen, you remember, this is Hermione." He had been coming to the library a lot to do research lately, and he almost always ran into Hermione there. She had also given him a lot of help with his studies. Over time, the two became friends.

"Of course, I think everyone in the same grade knows Miss Know-It-All." Owen had a relaxed smile on his face.

Hermione was holding a thick book, a blush rising on her face beneath her messy brown hair. Then she turned and glared at Owen, giving off a fierce yet harmless vibe.

"I suppose you're quite famous yourself, taking on Mr. Shafik of Gryffindor all by yourself," Hermione retorted.

Daphne buried her head in her book and chuckled to herself, her body trembling slightly, and her smooth forehead, which was exposed outside the book, was slightly flushed.

"I don't want to explain to anyone that it was Peeves's own idea." Owen tapped the table lightly with his left index finger, then chuckled lazily. "Okay, so it was me. I tamed Peeves on the first day of school, and I made him play pranks on people. The purpose was to show off and eventually get a title like 'Gryffindor nemesis'..."

"If it's easier for people to accept it this way," Irving said nonchalantly, flipping open the book in his hand.

Harry also started to suppress his laughter, his shoulders shrugging.

Hermione rolled her eyes slightly. After hearing what Owen said, she began to believe that it was just a coincidence.

"But have you really previewed all the material from the first five grades?" She hesitated for a moment before asking. She'd been agonizing over this for a week.

"Of course, oh, I've already started looking at the sixth-grade textbook," Owen said truthfully.

"So... are there many people like you?" Hermione unconsciously curled her hair, her expression becoming anxious.

"Hmm, while I was learning these things, other people were probably learning addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division," Irving mused.

"I can testify that Owen was just an accident." Daphne peeked out from behind the book, her eyes crinkling into crescent moons with laughter. "While we were all getting our early education, Owen was reading magic books, and while we finally decided to flip through our textbooks before school started, Owen was engrossed in magic tricks, making props, and raising pigeons..."

Hermione breathed a slight sigh of relief, then couldn't help but glare at Owen again. She finally realized that he had been teasing her when he said those things on the train, even though she had been anxious about it for a week and had pulled out quite a bit of hair.

"Don't worry, your hair volume should last for a few more years, it should," Owen said with a smile, seeing the little witch's undisguised expression.

Hermione took a deep breath, feeling her fist harden for the first time. She hadn't expected anyone to be so infuriating!

At this moment, Mrs. Pince, the librarian, turned around with a feather duster, silencing them.
