A certain broken Hogwarts

Chapter 236 A Terrible Accident

Harry felt his back hit the hard, cold floor, with Blaise still heavily on top of him.

In the dim light, he could barely make out that it was a dilapidated room. The wallpaper was peeling, the floor was stained, and everything was covered in a thick layer of dust. The windows were boarded up. The corners were pitch black, making it impossible to see if anyone was hiding in the darkness.

Harry didn't have time to think about where he was; he immediately pushed Blaise aside.

Blaise rolled helplessly twice on the gray floor, knocking over a wooden chair with a missing leg, and lay there motionless like a corpse. He had completely lost consciousness after dragging Harry here, so the poisoning was clearly real.

Harry was both worried and annoyed, but now was not the time to check on the other person. He braced his foot against the floor and sprang off with a "whoosh," reaching into his pocket to pull out his wand.

Realizing he was in danger, Sirius's special training came in handy. He spotted the nearest cover in a flash and, without hesitation, lunged toward the collapsing staircase in the corner.

Harry reacted quickly, his movements swift and decisive, but it was too late. A beam of red light fell directly on him, leaving him no chance. He felt his hand loosen, and his wand flew out of his grasp, caught by a chain attached to his robe, swirling and fluttering before his eyes.

But Harry no longer had a chance to reach out and grab it. Another shiny rope flew over and bound him tightly.

Harry fell heavily to the dirty ground, a cloud of dust obscuring his vision, leaving him with only a vague glimpse of a tall, thin figure emerging from the corner. His wand clattered to the ground beside him, seemingly within reach, yet forever out of his grasp.

"Oh dear, our little Potter baby has come to visit." A high-pitched female voice came from behind, unpleasantly imitating the sound of a baby.

"Bellatrix!" Harry struggled to sit up, his heart sinking.

"I never thought that key would actually bring someone here. I thought you'd be torn to shreds on the way." Bellatrix suddenly let out a rough laugh, kicking the unconscious Blaise aside. "Forgive me, it's my first time making something like this. Look, for your safety, I thoughtfully chose a destination that's very close..."

"How is it? Is little Harry almost crying with emotion?" She tugged at a tuft of messy black hair hanging down her chest, deliberately raising her voice, "After all, our poor little Harry has never had any parents to love him since he was little..."

She drew closer, and Harry could finally see her clearly. The woman before him had a thick jaw and heavy eyelids, her black curly hair was disheveled, and she wore a black robe. She was still thin, but no longer as haggard and emaciated as she had been a few months ago. A contemptuous sneer hung on her thin lips, but her eyes still shone with that intense and frenzied light.

"You're lying to me! This is Hogsmeade Village, isn't it? You wouldn't dare take me out of here. Sirius told me that Dumbledore would know as soon as I left Hogwarts grounds!" Harry said slowly. "You're as afraid of Dumbledore as your master!"

He couldn't wait to waste more time talking nonsense with the other person. His mind was racing, trying to think of a way to escape.

Bellatrix's smile vanished, replaced by a terrifying expression. She fiddled with her hair using her wand and took a few more steps closer to Harry.

"What do I do... what do I do?" Harry struggled against the ropes binding him, but the sturdy ropes wouldn't budge. He glanced at the wand beside him out of the corner of his eye, racking his brains for a way to get it.

As if reading his mind, a booted foot stepped on Harry's wand. Harry looked up and met Bellatrix's cat-and-mouse gaze, and a wave of despair washed over him.

Bellatrix picked up his wand, ripped off the clasp, and waved it in front of Harry with a mocking expression.

"Alright, Potter, stop with the unrealistic fantasies," Bellatrix said in a hoarse voice, abandoning her high-pitched tone.

She bent down, tilted her head, and used her wand to brush aside the hair on Harry's forehead. The tip of her wand pressed against the lightning bolt-shaped scar, her eyes filled with a cruel and insane look.

"Tell me, where is the Dark Lord now?" she whispered in Harry's ear. "If you tell me, I can give you a quick death."

She didn't kill me immediately so she could get Voldemort's whereabouts out of me! Harry suddenly realized and instantly entered Occlumency.

The faint sounds of young wizards talking and shouting drifted from outside the house. Harry wanted to yell at the top of his lungs, but he knew it would be useless, and could only helplessly listen as the sounds faded into the distance.

"How can you be distracted at a time like this, Potter?" Bellatrix said softly, then suddenly grabbed Harry's chin, her voice becoming irritable and shrill. "Tell me! Where is the Dark Lord?"

"I don't know!" Harry stared at her, trying his best to maintain a puzzled expression. "Isn't he dead?"

"You're lying, you filthy bastard! The Dark Lord isn't dead! He was at Hogwarts last year!" Bellatrix roared, the tip of her wand digging painfully into Harry's forehead. "Tell me the truth, where is he?"

"He's dead!" Harry cried.

"Liar! Disobedient children will suffer." Bellatrix's expression turned ferocious and excited. "Heart-crushing!"

Harry felt like his bones were on fire; his head felt like it had split open along the scar, and his eyeballs were spinning wildly inside his skull. He couldn't hear his own horrific, piercing, drawn-out screams; he just wanted the torment to stop, to pass out, or simply to die!

The torture suddenly ended, and Harry collapsed to the ground, trembling all over. He heard Bellatrix laughing hysterically.

"This can't go on... I have to think of something..." Harry struggled to get his seemingly rusty brain working again. "Sirius might soon realize I'm not at Hogwarts. This is Hogsmeade Village... If I can stall for a while, someone might come..."

"Where is the Dark Lord? Tell me! Don't you want to experience this again?" Bellatrix demanded, poking Harry's cheek with her wand.

"I really don't know! I'm not lying!" Harry gritted his teeth. He couldn't tell anyone; he absolutely couldn't let the centaurs' prophecy come true...

Another wave of excruciating pain, like being sliced into a thousand pieces, surged through him, making him want to smash his head against the wall and break his neck. When he finally came to his senses from the agony, his voice was hoarse from screaming. Why couldn't anyone outside hear such a commotion?

Harry felt a sense of disorientation; he thought he was going to die there. If it were Owen, he certainly wouldn't be in such a sorry state, would he? With Owen's advice, they could even defeat Voldemort; now he was going to die at the hands of Voldemort's servants…

"Wait, Voldemort..." Harry finally grasped a glimmer of inspiration in his daze.

"I'll ask you one more time, where is the Dark Lord?" Bellatrix screamed.

"I'm here, Bellatrix," Harry said softly in a hoarse voice.

He struggled to suppress the trembling in his body and made his voice calm and cold.

Under intense pressure to survive, he quickly regained the facade he had maintained last semester and performed exceptionally well. He tried hard to recall Voldemort's evil and cruel expression, and the cruelty and malice he felt when he used the Cruciatus Curse, driven by his emotions…

He slowly propped himself up, staring intently at Bellatrix, his expression somber and cold. Despite looking up at her, he exuded an air of superiority and composure.

"You..." Bellatrix looked at him with surprise and doubt, then suddenly raised the wand that was pressed against his cheek.

Harry looked at her calmly and said slowly, "It's been over ten years. I never thought someone would still be willing to contact me."

"You...you're the master?" Bellatrix took a step back, staring at him in astonishment. "That's impossible!"

"Why not? Or do you think Harry Potter can beat me a second time after he luckily deflected my spell?" Harry raised his voice to make it sound louder and more confident.

Bellatrix finally started to panic, instinctively denying it quickly: "No! I didn't mean that!"

Looking at her, Harry sneered, "A few months ago, I finally managed to possess Harry Potter's body. I was able to plan the best opportunities at Hogwarts, regain a perfect body, and even deceive Dumbledore, gaining his trust! I've been planning for so many years, but you, you fool, almost ruined it all!"

Bellatrix's pupils contracted; she was beginning to believe Harry's words. Remembering what she had just done, she quickly hid the hand holding her wand behind her back, her eyes filled with fear and panic, looking exactly like a little girl who had made a mistake.

"I didn't mean to! Master, I just wanted to bring you back..." Although she felt an inexplicable sense of unease about the person in front of her, her long-cultivated instinct of obedience and fear towards Voldemort made her plead softly, "I don't know..."

"So how are you going to make it up to me, Bellatrix?" Harry said softly, glancing casually at the ropes binding him, his heart pounding with anxiety.

Bellatrix hesitated, her suspicions growing stronger. She didn't believe the Dark Lord couldn't even untie a rope, but what if this was a test of her master's loyalty and obedience?

She waved her wand to untie the ropes binding Harry, and cautiously asked, "Master, what should we do next?"

"I'm going back to Hogwarts," Harry said calmly, standing up, dusting himself off, and maintaining a blank expression. He felt a cramp in his calf.

"Then...please forgive my offense..." Bellatrix pleaded softly.

Harry looked at him, his expression softening slightly as he reassured him, "Of course, I will forgive you. You have already proven your loyalty to me..."

Unexpectedly, Bellatrix's expression suddenly changed, and she abruptly swung her wand at Harry, sending him flying.

Harry slammed hard against the stair railing, causing the rickety staircase to collapse. He felt as if his internal organs had shifted, and in the blink of an eye, a rope wrapped around him like a nimble snake.

"You're lying to me! The Dark Lord never forgives my mistakes easily!" Bellatrix screamed hysterically. If she had only been very suspicious before, she was now completely certain, because the Dark Lord couldn't possibly have failed to withstand an attack of this magnitude!

Harry's expression froze. He couldn't believe it. Voldemort wouldn't even treat his only loyal follower kindly? And yet... why would anyone still follow him? He truly didn't understand!

Hearing Bellatrix's furious screams, Harry panicked completely; he was at his wit's end. Someone, please help him! Whether it's Dumbledore, Sirius, or Owen, help him!

As he was thinking this, he suddenly felt everything go black.

……

When Owen emerged from the flames with Nyx and Melett, he found himself standing in the long corridors of Hogwarts Castle. He glanced at the Marauder's Map, confirmed Harry and Blaise's location, and quickly descended the stairs into the dungeons.

As he navigated the complex corridors, he didn't forget to cast a Disillusionment Charm on himself, intending to take this opportunity to find Bellatrix's location and resolve the headmaster's mission from the source.

Just as he was about to reach Harry and the others, he glanced at the Marauder's map again and saw that the two lonely little dots had disappeared without him noticing.

"Is it a door key?" Owen immediately realized, and his running steps suddenly stopped.

A gray-furred raccoon ran over from the opposite side, circled him once, and looked up, meowing loudly.

"I see. Harry was taken away by Blaise, right? Blaise was poisoned?" Owen listened to the cat's description and nodded calmly.

He drew his wand and tapped it lightly in the air, beginning to use the tracking charm he had previously cast on Harry's glasses to pinpoint the other person's location.

A wisp of light silver smoke emerged from the tip of the wand, pointing diagonally in one direction. Following the strange sensations emanating from the spell, Owen sensed that Harry's location wasn't far away, as if he were still within the boundaries of Hogwarts.

"Hogsmeade Village?" Owen turned his head towards the direction from which the senses were coming, his deep gaze seemingly piercing through the thick walls to see where Harry was. "This direction leads to... the Shrieking Shack?"

He turned around and took a couple of steps, just about to ask Nyx to act as his mode of transportation again, when he sensed a familiar sense of danger approaching.

"Of all times!" Owen gritted his teeth angrily, looked around in the dim candlelight on both sides of the corridor, and finally saw a shadow slowly moving out of the shadows at a corner.

"It seems that 'Ominous' has a certain degree of self-judgment." Owen narrowed his eyes. "It chooses to attack when I'm extremely relaxed or eager to do something, which indicates that it has some emotional perception and can judge that attacks are more likely to succeed at such times..."

"Melete, you two go and inform the professors about this," he instructed the two cats.

Melete glanced at him worriedly, then obediently ran off with the other cat-like creature, their slightly reflective fur making them look like two bright lightning bolts.

Owen skillfully entangled with the "Ominous," and there was no way he could go to Harry at a time like this. He had already tested it last time; the "Ominous" would follow him like a shadow during an attack, and there was no way to shake it off even if he teleported elsewhere.

To fight Bellatrix under the threat of "ominous" circumstances would be tantamount to prolonging one's life. Moreover, under these circumstances, he would likely find it difficult to kill Bellatrix, as she would probably run away if she sensed things were going badly.

"Nyx, I need you to go keep an eye on things with Harry. You might be able to lend a hand if necessary." Owen used a transformation charm to conjure a stone wall, perfectly blocking the shadow's path, before turning to Nyx and speaking. This guy couldn't see the "Ominous" at all, so he was of no use in this situation.

Nyx reluctantly opened and closed its mouth. It had never really liked Harry; well, to be precise, it looked down on everyone except Owen. After dawdling for a while, it finally couldn't resist Owen's bright and dazzling gaze and disappeared into the flames with a "poof."

Owen breathed a sigh of relief, watching the dark figure slowly emerge from the crack under the stone wall, and patiently began to deal with it.

As he retreated from one end of the corridor to the entrance, he suddenly waved his wand, and an iron cage appeared out of thin air beside him, its shadow on the ground trapping "Ominous" inside.

Owen used this time to catch his breath, planning to enter the empty classroom next door and transform into his black flame form to survive the attack. As for Harry… with Nyx's help, he should survive.

As he was thinking this, he suddenly blinked. He saw a thin red line fly straight towards him through the wall, as fast as a beam of light, and in the blink of an eye, it connected to his left index finger.

"This is..." Owen was stunned for a moment, and then felt dizzy.

When he came to his senses again, he found himself lying on a pile of dusty, musty planks, his body tightly bound with ropes, and in pain all over.

All I could hear were furious screams; it was hard to imagine what had gotten into the other person so angry.

"Oh no!" Owen thought blankly. (End of Chapter)
