Chapter 82 Author's Note (Seeking First Subscriptions)
Ok!
The first volume's summary was quite witty.
That's not being cheeky anymore.
One reviewer said the book relied too much on references and needed its own core message.
Actually, I know that too.
However—I'm really afraid of writing original storylines; if I dare to write one, I dare to flop.
I'm unsure of myself and don't know how to write it properly.
So I made a clever joke.
All the original storylines I wanted to develop were designated as side stories. That way, even if they weren't well-written, I could say they were original and unrelated to the main story, and everyone could continue playing music and dancing.
If the writing is decent and readers respond positively, then use the original story as the foundation and rewrite the story.
My brain just isn't up to par. I'm tired of writing original content. Maybe I'm not smart enough. I should write a story that closely follows the original work but has a few of my own ideas. That way, I won't be so troubled.
But honestly, there are just too many people who write Harry Potter stories, and that would only lead to mediocrity and ultimately lose the fun.
Some readers also commented that the book was too far-fetched, did not conform to the original setting, and that the protagonist was too arrogant, etc.
But I want to say, if it's exactly the same as the original setting, why not just read the original novel again?
As for character design—although most of my characters are quite ethereal.
But Gone with the Wind isn't just random writing. All my character designs are additions and deductions based on the original characters' personalities. For example, Professor McGonagall might be annoyed by the protagonist, but she would never deduct points from him like Snape would.
Snape was so eager to kill the protagonist that he would restrain himself, as a professor would never turn against his students with swords drawn.
What about Dumbledore?
Although he is protective of his grandson, it is within acceptable limits. Does that mean that a grandfather's favoritism towards his grandson is not allowed?
Well—after saying all that, all I want to say is that my original outline was to write a book similar to The Witcher Returns, adding some different elements to the original work.
We don't have the ability to write an original story that surpasses the original work.
However, I'm still revising the story, anything is possible! Who knows, one day I might have a brain fart and end up falling into the deep pit of original plot.
O(∩_∩)O haha~
Just to make you laugh, and hopefully everyone will enjoy watching.
Lastly, I'm asking for a first-day subscription.
It should be released around noon tomorrow, barring any unforeseen circumstances!
As expected!
Who knows what kind of trouble the boss will cause tomorrow?
