I, Hogwarts Second Time Around.

Chapter 589 The Final Battle at Hogwarts

Chapter 589 The Final Battle at Hogwarts (Part 7)

Harry stared at Snape.

He didn't understand why the other party would help him.

"There won't be a next time, Potter!" Snape noticed Harry's gaze.

He said coldly, "This is the last time I'll help you."

"Is this a task Dumbledore gave you?" Harry immediately guessed the reason for this situation.

Snape did not speak.

He had to escape while also dealing with the Death Eaters who were chasing him.

"Are you a spy? A double agent?"

"I think you'd be better off focusing your energy on the enemy behind you," Snape sneered.

Even after Harry learned the truth, he still had that same expression.

He and Harry Potter share an invisible barrier that nothing can break.

The best outcome would be for the two of them to become the most familiar strangers.

"Boom!" Another spell exploded.

Harry and Snape fell down.

He stood up, shielding Potter behind him, then looked coldly into the distance.

Just as the Death Eaters and Voldemort caught up.

A figure suddenly appeared beside them.

"Hey—Harry Potter."

It was Dobby, dressed in exquisite full-body armor and holding a dagger.

"Dobby?" Harry exclaimed with delight, "Quickly, take us away!"

"No problem!" Dobby said seriously, reaching out to grab him and Snape, and then Apparating away from the scene.

Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.

Meanwhile, in the Forbidden Forest, countless [Children of Ominous Signs] appeared out of nowhere.

They are all over ten feet tall.

Its entire body emitted a faint, earthy-yellow glow, a continuous, flame-like light.

There was a stronger smell of sulfur compounds in the air.

Wherever they go, the earth seems to lose its vitality, the snow melts, and the land cracks.

A strong, pungent smell of decay enveloped the entire forest.

"Oh my god!!!"

"By Merlin!"

Every wizard who saw this [Ominous] Legion was shocked by its terrifying scale.

That's not just a simple matter of a few hundred thousand.

They stretched endlessly, and the entire forest was on fire.

Looking out from the tower of Hogwarts.

It was as if the heavens or the earth had cracked open, allowing these abominable beasts to appear endlessly.

"Is this the end of the world?" the wizards exclaimed in terror.

Faced with such a large number of enemies.

Even the bravest person will panic.

"What about Koyatl?"

Where is she?

"Tonks! Where is she?"

Theseus Scamander was taken back to the castle by Kreacher.

As soon as he landed, he started shouting and looking for someone.

"I'm here!" said Koyatl.

She and Ron have just arrived deep in the Forbidden Forest.

However, in the process, they encountered more and more Death Eaters trying to stop them.

The American wizards who went with her couldn't withstand the pressure and had to retreat to avoid major casualties.

Koyatl originally only wanted to enter the Forbidden Forest to gather information and see what kind of backup plan Voldemort had prepared, but now he doesn't need to.

The vast army of "Children of the Omen" was a backup plan.

"Go contact the Muggles and get them involved," Theseus Scamander said. "Tell them not to even think about wiping us out!"

He was naturally aware of the Muggles' plans. After all, the Federation wasn't blind to the large-scale troop deployment.

However, considering the possibility of unforeseen circumstances and the potential for Muggle assistance, he acquiesced to this behavior.

"Head east, and you'll find them easily!"

"Alright!" Koyatl nodded, and was about to turn and leave when Theseus Scamander called him back: "Wait—take a group of men with you."

"If the Muggles attack, the Death Eaters will inevitably go there. You are responsible for stopping them."

"And—monitor them, monitor Muggles—if I'm not mistaken, they might want to use that weapon to wipe us all out, friend or foe."

"I understand!" Koyatl said solemnly, then immediately turned and left.

Then Theseus Scamander found George and Fred.

Their metal golems are easier to deal with the [Child of the Omen] than spells.

He didn't expect Gemini to be able to block all the [Children of Ominous Signs], as long as they could draw the fire.

"Are you alright?" Without stopping, Theseus Scamander found Neville and Luna again.

Without him saying anything more, the two young wizards understood what they were supposed to do.

"Too many," Neville said.

"That's right, if there were only a few thousand, we might be able to hold them off," Simon added from beside him.

"I don't need you to wipe them all out, just inflict maximum damage on the enemy," Theseus Scamander said bluntly. "I will send a team to protect you. You can focus entirely on casting spells."

"No problem!" Seamus said. "Origin Magic is the only one I know, and I'm quite proficient at using it now."

Neville and Luna nodded in agreement.

Of the eight origin magic spells, most of the junior wizards in DA only mastered Starfall.

Even Hermione did not fully master all of the Origin Magic.

She was only quite proficient in using the three major stargazing spells.

"Next," Theseus Scamander looked into the distance.

He has done all he could.

The outcome of this war is not up to us.

All he could do was stall for time, buy time for Harry and Owen.

Dumbledore left them some kind of plan.

All he could do was pray, pray that the damn plan would succeed.

Meanwhile, Harry and Owen met at the north gate of Hogwarts.

Hermione also happened to appear here.

"Harry!" Hagrid's eyes lit up, and with tears in his eyes, he rushed to Harry and hugged him tightly.

"Oh! You're alive! You're alive!"

He ignored Snape who was standing next to him.

However, it was clear that Snape didn't want to say anything to Hagrid.

He left alone and headed towards the castle.

Several seconds later, Hagrid's enthusiasm subsided slightly.

Next, it was Hermione's turn to hug her.

"You know I won't really die, right?" After exchanging a few words of comfort with Hermione, Harry went to Owen.

"You just saw Dumbledore?" Owen didn't answer directly, but asked a different question instead.

"Hmm—" Harry nodded. "Yeah, I went to a strange place, like the place we went to before in the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic, the Enchanted Realm."

But in my fantasy, the place looked more like King's Cross Station for Muggles, the place where we take the Hogwarts Express every year before school starts. I did see Dumbledore there, and he told me a lot, including about his past, his plans, and that I was the last Horcrux.” Harry paused for a moment, seemingly thinking, his gaze shifting back and forth across Owen's face, as if he had a lot to say.

"Voldemort's Killing Curse struck me. I don't know why I didn't die, but the Horcrux inside my head should have been destroyed; his soul fragment is gone. What happened after that? We still can't defeat Voldemort?"

"There are many reasons why you didn't die," Irving explained. "It's the result of several complex factors."

"First, the Elder Wand."

"The Elder Wand?" Harry thought for a moment. He had just discussed the Elder Wand with Dumbledore in the Dreamlike Realm.

He said too much at the time, and he didn't have time to connect all the information.

"Wait—you mean, the Elder Wand's owner wasn't Voldemort? But he clearly killed Grindelwald."

Irving's gaze darkened.

"Oh! Sorry, I didn't mean anything by it," Harry quickly said.

"It's okay," Irving said with a deep breath. "You should think about it carefully."

"Think about it?" Harry pondered, when suddenly a detail he had overlooked surfaced in his mind. "I remember now, in Godric's Hollow, I disarmed Mr. Grindelwald's wand!"

"So the Elder Wand's owner—is me?"

“That’s right!” Owen nodded. “Although I don’t know the specifics of Dumbledore’s arrangements, in the end, the Elder Wand can only belong to you.”

Seeing Harry's look of sudden realization.

He further explained, "The second possibility is because of the protective spell of love that belongs to your mother!"

"Voldemort still possesses your mother's magic."

"His magic can't kill you, so he can only kill the part of Voldemort's soul inside you."

"That's why you have to face Voldemort."

"So that's how it is!" Harry hadn't expected that this would involve his mother's magic.

Perhaps—he suddenly realized.

Did Dumbledore foresee this situation back when the Goblet of Fire was built? Did he prepare for it years in advance?

Harry couldn't help but feel even more respect for this greatest headmaster.

Because the other party saved his life, if Dumbledore hadn't arranged for him to face Voldemort, he might have had to die this time.

"The last reason."

"There's another reason?" Harry stared at Owen in surprise.

"You'll find out soon enough. This is the final test!" Owen's tone suddenly became distant.

In the darkness, the final outcome is fast approaching.

"Know what?"

Harry just asked a question.

A large group of Death Eaters appeared on the stone bridge in front of the north gate of Hogwarts.

Voldemort, the leader, stood before the stone bridge, his black robes billowing and his silver hair dancing. His face was pale, yet he possessed a morbid fanaticism. His scarlet eyes were fixed intently on Harry, and a cold smile curled at the corner of his lips.

"I thought you would slink away like a mouse."

He looked at Harry and said.

"Oh! The other one's here too, that saves me a lot of trouble!"

He then looked at Irving.

"Don't assume everyone's like you, Tom!" Harry yelled at Voldemort. "If I wanted to run away, I wouldn't be in the Forbidden Forest!"

"You didn't kill me. You can never defeat me!"

"Heh heh—" Voldemort laughed cruelly, his face trembling with rage.

The next second, golden light shone around him, and a complex magic ring appeared in front of him. Then, a huge golden greatsword shot towards Harry like a meteor.

At the critical moment, Owen suddenly reached out and pushed Harry away as he was about to cast a spell to defend himself.

He appeared conspicuously before the golden greatsword.

Then something astonishing happened.

Without Owen using any magic, the golden greatsword deflected.

It shot towards a flower bed.

That precious flower bed, which is over a thousand years old, was split in two.

"Owen!" Hermione exclaimed in surprise.

She rushed over to check if Irving was injured.

"It's nothing!" He gave a forced smile.

His guess was proven correct.

The ending was already predetermined.

"Did you just cast a spell? I didn't see anything." Harry stared at Owen in surprise.

“No, I didn’t.” Owen shook his head and looked at Harry. “You’re right, Harry, Voldemort can no longer harm you, or anyone from Hogwarts.”

"What's going on?" Hermione asked Owen, puzzled.

Harry, unlike her, had already figured it out. "This is the third reason you mentioned?" he said. "It's because I did what my mother did."

Harry suddenly realized.

He drew his wand and faced Voldemort directly.

This time, nothing could frighten him anymore.

He stared directly into the other person's scarlet eyes with unparalleled power.

"You can't hurt us anymore. You've failed, Tom!"

"Luckily! By chance!" Voldemort cried. He then unleashed a dozen more golden greatswords.

But the result was the same as the shot aimed at Irving.

No matter who he targets, the attack will deflect when it lands on anyone.

"Don't you understand?" Harry shouted. "Was it a coincidence that my mother died to save me?"

"Was it a coincidence that I decided to rebel during the Battle of Hogwarts? Was it a coincidence that I survived at the top of Azkaban Tower and tonight in the Forbidden Forest?"

"Heh heh—" Voldemort laughed maniacally.

He suddenly shot out a golden greatsword, this time not from the Hogwarts students, but from the Death Eaters beside him.

In an instant, he killed more than a dozen Death Eaters.

"Why!" he shouted.

The Death Eaters around them retreated as if their lives depended on it.

In an instant, a small vacuum zone appeared around him.

"You'll never kill any of them again, never again. Understand? To stop you from hurting these people, I'm prepared to die—"

"You didn't!" Voldemort roared.

The immense ancient magic within him surged around him like a giant wave.

The stone bridge was shattered, and the waters of the Black Lake were stirred up and churned, threatening to engulf Hogwarts.

The entire sky darkened.

No matter how he used magic, he couldn't harm the Hogwarts students.

Even the waters of the Black Lake that were rushing toward the Hogwarts students changed direction.

"—I made up my mind! That was the key. I did what my mother did."

"Love again?" Voldemort said, his pale face full of mockery. "Oh—Dumbledore's magic weapon, he claimed to conquer death, yet he failed to save himself! He's dead, dead before my very eyes, without love, without any false deception, his body is rotting, his soul has already joined Death!"

"And I! Am Death!!!"

Voldemort screamed madly.

For hours, all the unexpected events had caused his remaining rationality to evaporate in his rage.

Now he has only one thought.

That means going all out and eliminating any obstacles in your path!

Suddenly, it was as if fate was pulling the two together.

Harry and Voldemort raised their wands at the same time.

To cast that curse of fate upon the other.

"Avada Kedavra!"

"Disarm you!"
